"Fair to light"?? No. The colour I got was much too dark for someone with skin like mine. It would suit medium skin I think. So I never got to wear it, but the formula seems decent, I wouldn't know if it controls acne.

I'm not sure why this is so underrated, because it worked tremendously for my acne prone skin! But i do think there is a trick to using this product. I love the packaging, the pump makes it a lot easier for you to control how much you need. As mentioned, i have acne/blemish prone, slightly sensitive skin. I used to have oily combo skin type, but i'm on accutane right now due to clogged pores because i have used the wrong makeup product (STAY AWAY FROM NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION!!!), and has transitioned to slightly dry skin type at the moment. However, i am still using this cleanser, and it has greatly helped in clearing the acne out! For this particular cleanser, you can't use too much of it, otherwise it will dry out your skin too much and cause the flakiness since it has salicylic acid inside. You just need to use LESS THAN HALF A PUMP! (at least that's how much i used and it worked for me) With that small amount, it will create a lot of foam and bubbles and lather it onto your face. When i had oily combo skin type this helped to curb my acne tremendously, and my face was completely clear, other than having that time of the month. If my face felt too tight or dry, i'd just lather on slightly more moisturizer and did the trick. Even as i have transitioned to slightly dry skin now, this does the trick. I just pack on more moisturizer and pat into my skin to lock the moisture. My face has almost zero red spots and has started to clear up more (because of the clogged pores my acne started to rise, and this product helped to reduce the redness) All in all i think its a great product, i have repurchased 3 bottles and i don't think i can ever find another product like this....at a drugstore price! I think the trick for this product to work for your skin is actually the amount of product you need to dispense, because everyone's skin reacts differently even though the skin type might be the same. Just a small amount will work wonders. It has been a life changing product for me. I highly recommend it for acne prone users.Hope this has helps!

Not a fan of this product. Not terribly moisturizing and stings my eyes like crazy if it manages to get anywhere near them. Instead, I discovered TriDerma's Eczema Fast Healing cream and apply it to dry patches. Works like a charm, at a lower price.

Bought these because they were recommended by a MUA on YouTube. These are alright, but they don't compare to my Yes to Cucumbers Makeup Remove Wipes. Not fond of the scent in these and the cloth is rougher. It DOES decently remove all my makeup. I can't vouch for eye makeup, because I use a separate remover for that. Also, the packaging isn't as sturdy as the Yes to Cucumber wipes.Think I'll go back to using my HG once these are used up. Would not repurchase. Price was comparable to HG, so no complaints there.

This is my favourite facial moisturizer with a good SPF. It is moisturizing and does leave a sheen, but it is not too greasy or heavy. It doesn't clog my pores or break me out. It doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't cling to any dryness or flakes. It hits all the marks!

I recommend staying away from this product. I bought it yesterday and used it for the first time in my shower today. I got a little of the suds in my eyes, and it felt like acid. The label says to flush with water if that happens. I did that. It's been an hour and my eye is still burning somewhat. I'm not interested in a facial cleanser that's going to cause me actual pain if I get it in my eyes, and lets face it, that happens. I'm sorry I can't give it zero lippies.

I have normal combination skin, where my T-zone religiously gets shiny mid-day. This product is supposedly meant for skin type like mine, but honestly, I don't see how it helped. I tried using this day and night, even though it's stated as a makeup remover too, but I wanted to see how it'll help my oily skin. Yes, it did removed all traces of my makeup (which none of them are waterproof) without drying my skin out, but it doesn't keep my skin's oiliness at bay. I prefer foaming cleanser, because Rosette (a Japanese brand) foaming facial cleanser has does wonders for my skin, but this foaming ability is pretty mediocre.

Its official. Neutrogena products and my skin just cant play nice together. Ran out of my usual cleanser and picked this one up as neutrogena is targeted toward troubled skin such as my own ( sensitive/acne prone). By the second day of use I was breaking out in areas of my face that I never have problems with. Maybe this particular product isnt ment for sensitive skin but it seems that every product I've tried from neutrogena ends with the same negative results.

This is THE worst. The smell of these is so over whelming I felt sick just using them. You would think that since it says that these wipes are good for acne prone skin it wouldn't have perfume in it. But obviously it does because I can smell it. I shouldn't have even used them because of that but I gave it a shot and what do you know it broke me out.

I love this product, I was given this for free to try in the beginning of this year (2017) and I never thought it would work. And at the beginning it kinda didn't but this may just be me because I was using face washes and scrubs and toners and Diys along with this. My acne stayed the same. Then I go to Europe on vacation for 15 days and only bring this and a moisturizer (neutrogena spf 30) . MY SKIN COULD NOT HAVE LOOKED BETTER ! acne scars were gone, large cysts were gone ,redness was gone etc. Now for the last three weeks I have only used this cleanser and moisturizer and my skin feels radiant and Healthy!!PRAISE FOR NEUTROGENA RAPID CLEAR OIL REMOVING CLEANSER(Con - it needs a shorter name)

Broke my fair, sensitive combination skin out horribly! I applied it to my bare, clean face for a couple of hours of yard work outdoors. I came inside to find my face broken out in red, scaley rough patches. This was followed by several days of extremely dry, rough skin. This did not work around my eyes either - it caused them to water and sting.I do not know if my response was caused by the use of fragrance or the SPF overkill. The texture and feel of this product were great, so it's a shame this didn't work out. I will be returning.

I have been using this product for years and I have come to depend on it to keep my face clear. I am 62 years old but my face will still break out like a younger person if it isn't kept clean. I also gently exfoliate each time I wash my face. Not many women my age do these things but my skin is still oily so it's necessary. And...my skin looks much younger than my age so I am happy about that! I love it! I hope Neutrogena never stops making this product!

I have extremely sensitive and acne prone skin, so finding an spf has been a many years long daunting task. I think this is finally the one. I've been wearing it for four days and it has not broken me out yet. Normally I will get breakouts after one use of a product that does not agree with me, sometimes after only a few hours. I've used this for a day at the beach and was not burned, granted I also used a mineral powder sunscreen on top of it that day just in case. The product is white and has a runny consistency, it smells like sunscreen but it's not obnoxious and it doesn't bother me, I am very pleased that it doesn't smell like perfume, that would just be irritating to my skin. After application my face doesn't turn red, which it usually does with most facial moisturizers, however I do feel a slight temporary burning sensation occasionally, but that may be because I use differin gel for acne and it can sensitize the skin. Either way I will continue to use it as I have to use spf, and all others break me out. I also don't notice any pooling, or patches, or dryness, paleness or anything else other reviewers complained about. It feels just like a silky lotion on my skin and sinks in quickly, it's not matte but i have very oily skin in general so I don't expect a lotion to leave me matte. I also wear this under makeup with no issues. I would recommend it to anyone with acne who thinks they can't use sunscreen.

I'm far from a teen but I am really oily like think adolescent oily so I was looking for something containing salicylic acid & would soak up some of this excess oil. It's comparable to clean & clear except it has a fresh invigorating Fragrance that I enjoy. So when I can't get my MAC oil control lotion or Clinique dramatically diff moisturizing gel I will get this. It works really well but I wished it had a more clayish mattifying effect like Olay which I can't find at Kroger anymore. I'm going to try more of this grapefruit line and soon! It's so nice to have a DS option for skincare besides clean & clear for acne which to me imo isn't even an option becoz it's wayyyyy too harsh all of it except the oil free moisturizer. I hate going to the Mall becoz I'm in a wheelchair so having a DS option is so great!
