I have sensitive skin with rosacea on my cheeks. I’ve never had clearer skin. I would recommend this product to anyone with problem skin. Love it!

I have sensitive skin with rosacea break outs on my cheeks due to stress. I invested in a few of The Ordinary products on a whim because of the great price. I will never ever go back to using any other product. My skin has never been healthier. Just bought the foundation and serum foundation. Can’t wait to try it!!

I'm a little surprised at all the tepid reviews on MakeupAlley because this particular product is frequently sold out online/in stores and is talked about quite a bit. I've been using it for several months now and seeing as it's been used in combination with a bunch of other products (also from the Ordinary) it's hard to single this one out as doing particularly anything, but I'm convinced it has contributed to reducing the overall oil levels of my skin and making my skin look smoother and more even-toned - this combined with the Alpha Arbutin 2% and the Rosehip Seed Oil means that my PIH spots go away relatively quickly (don't forget sunscreen though!) and overall my skin just seems much happier with this in my routine. Also it's not very easy to find niacinamide at this kind of concentration level so that's a bonus. I will say though that the bottle is pretty small - at 30ml you go through this pretty quickly if you're applying 2 drops everyday as I do in the mornings, though the overall affordability of the Ordinary's products still makes this a worthy purchase and a must-try if you're struggling with PIH or dull and uneven skintone.

I have used this in my daily routine for about 3-4 months and am very pleased with the results. This product gives me that extra hydration my sensitive/dehydrated skin needs; immediately upon application I can see and feel the skin being plumped up and look smoother. I gently massage/pat the product in and within a minute or so follow with my moisturiser in the AM and moisturiser or oil in the PM. The consistency is watery, a little "slimy" and when absorbed fully can feel a tiny bit sticky on the surface of skin, but it doesn't bother me. There is no scent which I greatly appreciate. Packaging is a glass dropper bottle of 30 ml, I expect this to last me up to 6 months. Given the price of this product is so low (€6.80) I wasn't expecting much but I'm really enjoying this. Haven't had any adverse reactions. Would re-purchase and recommend to anyone looking for a hydration boost at an affordable price.

this product is magic in a tube. it reduces the redness around my nose, and also helps to heal my POD. i was prescribed a topical steroid cream for the redness on my face several months ago, and when i stopped using that cream, my skin developed perioral dermatitis the next day. i did a little research online and found that azelaic acid can be used to treat rosacea and acne by killing bacteria, so i decided to buy this product aaaand i'm glad i did, i've been using it twice a day for a whole week and the redness is almost gone. it also improves my skin texture, a lot. i have no problem with the formula, it glides smoothly and sits perfectly still under my foundation and face oil, it doesn't pill or clog my pores despite the silicone in it. the only thing that i kinda dislike is the tube, it's too big for the amount of product in it, i have to squish the tube really hard to dispense the product.

I used this for almost three months. I never really found it to be hydrating, and it left a sticky feeling. I think it was making me breakout as well, since now that I've stopped using it, I'm not getting new acne. I have oily, acne-prone skin.

I actually quite like this product. It dries on my face and really tighten my forehead. It’s quite moisturizing too.

This stuff will resurface your skin better than any AHA peel on the market at half the price. I use this to face acne hyperpigmentation as well as to help ingrown hairs get out (gross, but it works!). If you guys have those on your legs, like the strawberry skin thing on your legs, this stuff will improve the appearance!! I would buy again for sure,

This product is supposed to help with acne/acne scars but I believe this has made it worse, for the first time in a while after using this product I started breaking out severely. I started getting whiteheads everywhere on my face and painful cyst. Do not buy if acne prone invest into better brands or more organic brands, such as Avene or La Roche Posay.

I joined the queue waiting (impatiently) for its delivery on launch - let me tell you it felt like forever! In the meantime mixed reviews began filtering out leaving me somewhat skeptical. So, I didn't try this for a while - what a mistake. This, for me, is a lovely foundation - as it's pigment, you don't get that horrid cakey look and because of that it's totally buildable. It's a different concept of foundation but it just works.
A word of caution - this is VERY matte, and us more mature ladies will need to add some life (ie. light) back into our skin; hourglass works a treat. For the incredibly low price point it is worth a try. It's a brilliant, cheap everyday foundation, but I have to admit for nights out and special occasions I prefer the EL Nude foundation as it gives a lovely glow ( not greasy look).
For reference I'm NW20 and bought shade 2.0 which works a treat.

This is nothing special and does nothing for my skin. Does not blur pores or wrinkles or make my makeup last longer. It is just a lotion. Very basic. I was expecting a primer, not this. Not worth the order.

Got this product to help prevent acne, to clear up my areas where I get recurrent breakouts (chin, lip and sides of nose), to minimize pores and just improve texture and help product penetration.
I now on usage 5, using this twice a week. The first two masks I felt an intense itchiness in my usual problem areas, and sure enough when I woke up I had breakouts in all those areas. Since then my breakouts have totally stopped, and in face I had no premenstrual breakouts on my chin and jaw like i usually do. My pores look smaller. There is still some hyper pigmentation from previous breakouts, I have read it takes a while for the peels to draw that out so I'm being patient.
Obviously my fine lines and acne scars are still here :)
The mask itself is really gentle, I have been for peels quite often in the past and my skin is quite resilient, but still I think all the soothing things they've added to this really do the job. In fact sometimes I wonder if the mask is even doing anything because I can't feel it - but I get occasional tingles here and there and I know it is.
I love this product and will definitely use it for at least a year. I also use Environ products and microneedling for scarring and fine lines, and plan on adding Retinol and Vitamin C from The Ordinary soon.

I have to say I do not understand the rave reviews. Firstly - while it’s cheap, you don’t get a lot of product for your money, putting it at about the same price as high street foundations. It markets itself as very lightweight and this may be true if you have very young skin but I do not find it to be so on my skin. I am in my 30s and while I have no proper lines or wrinkles I have very fine lines across my forehead. This sits in them terribly and really makes me look old. Not good! Compared to (yes a v high end) but still lightweight foundation like a ysl cushion foundation, I’d rather pay the money instead of looking older than I am

I’m afraid that while there’s no denying this product is excellent value for money and provides a solution to the instability of vitamin c, I would not purchase again. The cons just out weigh the pros. I understand the science behind why it’s gritty but I find rubbing it into my face irritating, for some reason the taste always ends up in my mouth and lastly, for me a vit c product is for the mornings so retinols may be used at night. This just doesn’t work under make up particularly if you’re in a hurry. If you’re able to leave it for ages it’s not too bad but I find it balls and is gritty under the make up if doing a normal morning for work make up. I will try the newer one and see if it’s any better

I love the way my skin feels the morning after I apply it. I get absolutely no irritation, even under the eyes, unless I use it every day. I am not seeing a DRAMATIC difference in my skin, but it might be because I already use a lot of actives. Maybe I should get the 5% strength. I doubt any of them will actually improve my acne scarring (mild ice pick), but it does help with healing fresh pimples.
