I find myself coming back to MAC these days, as I seemed to have forgotten that they have some solid products buried underneath their constant mediocre new collections. One such product are their Lustre lipsticks, which are an old favorite. In searching for a new everyday lipstick this fall, I accidentally stumbled across this shade. It's neutral, rosy, plummy, nude-ish, a MLBB shade for me. I don't have any issues with bleeding or feathering, but yes - Lustre lipsticks do not generally last as long as some of the other formulations. Additionally, I can honestly only give any MAC lipstick a 4/5 even at its best, simply because they seem to suck all the moisture out of my lips. That's a YMMV situation, obviously. On color/finish alone, it's a beautiful, versatile shade.

This is the first highlighter I ever owned and regardless of price I keep coming back to it, as the rest can never compare. I use this in conjunction with the MAC Bronzing powder in Matte Bronze for contouring/highlighting. Although this product is quite expensive, I don't mind forking out the extra pennies because it lasts about a year or so, with daily use. I usually use it as an eyeshadow and if I'm feeling fancy, my collar bones too. It adds a subtle glow to my fair skin, perfect for natural looks, but has buildable pigment for those nights out. Pros- Solid packaging (I have dropped it on many occasions, with no breakage whatsoever)- Lasts a long time, a little goes a long way...- Applies well and suited to fair skin tones (Although I'm sure it looks good on most skin tones)Cons - Expensive (It's usually goes on my Christmas/Birthday list)- Tested on animals

This is the first bronzer I ever bought, after it was recommended by a MAC make-up artist, and I am obsessed with it!I use this to contour, in conjunction with the MAC Mineralised Skin Finish (Soft & Gentle) for highlight. As a lazy gal, they both double up for eyeshadow for my daily make-up. It is quite an expensive product, so it usually goes on my Christmas/Birthday wishlist. However, the powder lasts about a year or two (If I'm pushing my luck) with daily use and the packaging is pretty solid considering it's taken a couple of beatings. Pros - Good pigment, does not oxidise/turn orange on my pale skin, so a little goes a long way...- Lasts a while - Solid packaging, which includes a mirror if you're on the go Cons - Expensive- Tested on animals

I've been using this since July, it's now late November, and this is my new standard light moisturizing foundation. I'd been looking since Estee Lauder d/c Double Wear Light, and reformulated it. I like this way better.Light coverage. It won't hide the sunspots on my right cheekbone, but it does nicely blur them and somehow makes all red marks, freckles and sunspots blur into the background leaving a nice clean glowy finish that looks like my skin but radiant. No shimmer, just a dewy glowy look.I have dry sensitive skin, oily T zone, rosacea, redness, sunspots, freckles and I'm NW15 in MAC. In Face and Body, N1 fits me perfectly. No reactions, no pimples, no white bumps, red bumps or rashes. Just great looking skin that you can't tell I'm wearing any foundation on from morning till night. It is sheer, but you can build a bit. If I'm really wanting to hide my sunspots on my cheekbone, or a really red spot, I dot a tiny bit of concealer on and tap it in, and set that with a kiss of finishing powder but most days I don't bother. This is my foundation for my no makeup makeup days.I do set it very very lightly with a large fluffy brush and some translucent finishing powder if I'm using powder blush, but if I'm using Clinique's chubby stick cream blushes (Amp'd up Apple is a favourite) then I leave it dewy and it does just fine.I love the extra moisture but for anyone with less than dry skin, you might need to set this for sure. For anyone with aging dry skin, it is wonderful. I wear it over top Jose Marans SPF 47 argan sunscreen which is also super moisturizing.Just a suggestion, MAC will always give a nice sample to try so when you get them to figure out your shade take it home and try it in daylight. Some MAC people are better than others at matching people, others are right out to lunch and way off.If you are NC or NW 15 or so then try the N1 first. If you are NC NW 20-25 try N2.

This is my new HG concealer! I had the NARS stuff for the past few month, was expecting a lot but unfortunately unless i mixed a bit of face oil with it, it settled into my fine line around the eyes :( It's also more expensive than the MAC one, there is less of it and the colour selection is average. This stuff is amazing, it's not drying yet it lasts and lasts and lasts. It also doesn't get into any fine lines. I hate concealers that make you look like you have lines around your eyes when you actually can't see any without any makeup on. It also has very good coverage. It's medium buildable. This also blends like a dream with my beauty blender and as always with MAC the colour section is second to none.

I bought this as a replacement for my NARS foundation and it matched my pale skin, but smells like paint and is a pain to get out of the bottle without a pump or some other tool. It does last all day and is a decent product but don't be fooled by the cheaper price!

Chili is Mac's best-selling lipstick of all time--11 are bought every minute globally. (I love trivia, especially about makeup.)😀I think the other famous Mac reds--Ruby Woo and Russian Red-- are beautiful on other people, but they just don't look great on fair-medium, warm, blond moi. But enter Chili and I am in burnt-orange heaven. (Go Longhorns!) I find it easy to apply from the tube with no liner and can't believe that I can pull off such a bold lipstick. Chili is just perfect. Everybody needs a red hippie in their stash and Chili is my holy grail. As many bold/dark colors are, it is a matte and applies smoothly and wears well. But if it didn't I would love it anyway and just have fun reapplying. Chili is a real winner! You probably need it. 😘Respectfully submitted, colormepink

Dark circles are not a huge concern for me on most days, but every now and again when I've not slept enough they can be quite prominent. And when that happens, 1 drop of Mac's Pro Longwear Concealer is literally all it takes to provide coverage and (temporarily) banish them. A friend with a dry skin type tried this and said it wasn't for her as the formulation is quite dry and creased/accentuated her fine lines. However for me with oilier skin it glided on fine and didn't look cakey in any way. Also a bonus for me is that Mac is one of the very few brands to do foundations/concealers that are a 100% complete match with my skin tone. If you have combination to oily skin I would suggest to give this a try. Very good coverage, just be careful with the pump, it can and will dispense a lot more than you need! Selena x~ My HG list ~(As I've sampled many 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I love constantly trying out new stuff - usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora) 1. Hair Loss Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Hair Oil2. Lip Balm: 'Nuxe' - Reve De Miel Lip Balm3. Pigmentation + Anti-Ageing Treatment: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Facial Treatment Serum4. Cleanser: 'Paula's Choice' - Skin Balancing Cleanser5. Concealer: ‘Mac’ - Studio Finish Concealer6. Lash Growth Serum: ‘Divine Herbal’ - Divinelash7. Foundation/SPF: ‘Juice Beauty’ - Stem Cellular Repair (warm glow)8. Face Scrub: ‘Sisley' - Botanical Gentle Buffing Cream9. Moisturizer: ‘Antipodes' - Rejoice Light Day Cream10. Hand Cream: 'Origins' - Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment

I usually pass on the holiday gift items - especially the eye palettes - from MAC. I never feel that the formulations are the same on the shadows as the regular line. And the color combinations are a little too "difficult" for 63 year-old eyes. But I played with this palette and purchased it immediately! The shadows blend beautifully and even the glimmers allow me to create some subtle but defined looks. And it's $30! The colors have "holiday/winter names" ( except for Carbon) but you can see close dupes to Wedge/Omega, Brun, etc. And it comes with a useful brush!MAC upped their game this year - there is a lot of competition out there - and this palette is a worthy contender.

When I graduated from high school, my dad's girlfriend did my makeup. She used Clear Lipglass on my lips, and it lasted, quite literally, all day. Not only through the ceremony, but through my graduation party and dinner afterwards. That was 17 years ago (oof), and this stuff just keeps getting better in comparison to what little else is available. Clear glosses, sticky glosses, and glosses in squeeze tubes barely exist - go to the grocery or drugstore down the block, and you'll do well to find a product that fits 1/3 of those criteria. As such, I keep buying MAC Clear Lipglass. I can use a little for a subdued shine, or a lip brush load for a full on reflective glassy shine; either way, a tube lasts forever. It seals and enhances traditional lipstick, moistens and improves the appearance of liquid lipstick, lights up glitter and metallic lips, and keeps lip balm from evaporating. It does double duty as eye gloss. It never melts onto my chin. There's no doe foot or brush tip to contaminate with lip color; no dipping back in to get the right amount. Now that MAC is everywhere mid-to-high-end, including Ulta, there's no fuss involved in restocking.I'm quite sure this is the only clear lip gloss I'll ever need. If you're looking for a clear lip gloss, just go for it! You can drop ~$18 on MAC goodness now, or spend the same amount trying out and discarding crappy ones from other brands first. Yes, it's a transcendental level of sticky, but that's what gives it its extreme lasting power.

Very sheer but somehow I can feel it all day on my face and it stresses me out. I hate feeling it. Gets too shiny

I purchased warm soul and love joy together a million years ago before “the change”. Dark reds browns shimmery wonders of which warm soul was defoooo the darker - so I actually bac2mac’d it (before I knew it’d been reformulated; now I’m pissed cuz I don’t have a special item boo hoo). Not many pale review so here goes. I’m NW20 on a tan day. More like NW15 really. I’m currently wearing that (NW15) in Studio Sculpt. I even have gone to NC10 in pro longwear before it came lighter in NWs. I’m very red though and don’t like to counter it except nose area. My whole body is red and I ‘tan’ rose gold. Although I use many actives and I’m an SPF vigilante. Love Joy works for my pale arse with a feather light touch and lasts allll day. The reddish hue totally goes with my ruddy skin! I agree with another reviewer who stated it’s like a blush, bronze and highlight all in one! I have many Mineralize blush shades and this (and my vintage warm soul I discarded like a used Kleenex) is like so much more pigmented than ANYY of them it’s totally insane. It builds to clown territory so easily on me. If I do not use like a loose fan brush and barely swipe across top and then tap multiple times I’m a clown. I bought this BC (before children). It’s still a dome. My kids are adolescents.

The Crayon is long lasting on the waterline, pigmentation is good. It did not smudge or fade in the 6 hours that i wore. Love the colours. If you are using for waterline only, it will last you long but I doubt it will last long if you use for the outer lid like crayon. The packaging is nice but one has to be careful whilst opening or you can snip the tip whilst opening.

I took a chance ordering this blush because I had not tested it in person. I actually first heard about t when a makeup artist named it as her all time favorite blush in her makeup kit. I loved it once I actually received it and tried it. This color is a beautiful and natural almost sheer strawberry color on my NC25-N30 asking tone. I applied it very lightly and gently built it up and loved the result. Its different than any other shade in my makeup case because I tend to go for peaches and peaches with slight pink. I have a hard time finding a pink or rose blush that works with my skin tone without looking clownish. However- this blush is absolutely gorgeous on and looked very natural when applied lightly. I think this could work for many different skin tones as I’ve seen photos of this on fair skin, as well as dark complexions and I personally have medium tan with yellow undertones. So it’s very versatile.
