Eye Shadow -Lancme -Ombre Hypnose Stylo

I have the 25 platine (pictured above). It is shimmery light taupe. I initially bought it as a base for eyeshadow, but it can be worn alone. You can decrease the shimmer when you put a shadow over it. It goes on very smoothly & creamy. It can be blended out, will set after a few minutes. For my oily lids, it last better than eyeshadow alone for a few hours, but I always use eye primer for anything if I want my eye makeup to last the day. I think the quality is worth the price, I didn’t have any issues with the product, it’s better than drugstore & other brands I’ve tried. I would repurchase in a different color. They were sold out of a few at Sephora.

I have a love hate relationship with this product. It applies beautifully. It covers pretty much everything and still looks like skin, minimizes pores, looks radiant! The problem is that it starts to get patchy after about 3 hours. I’ve tried with primer, without, with setting spray, without. Pretty much everything to make it work ☹️ By the end of the day this slid off of my oily areas and clung to dry patches......sexy right? Anyway, for $50, not worth it for me! The hg hunt continues!

Mascara -Lancme -Grandiose

on 9/15/2018 8:31:00 AM

I got a pack of 3 in duty-free of the “Smudge-Proof” version. I was curious to try it because I love the Hypnose Drama and Doll Eyes from this brand, so I was curious to try something I hadn’t before. Compared to those other two, the Grandiose is just okay. It builds decent length and volume, but not enough to warrant that price tag. My HG drugstore mascaras (Pupa Vamp and Bourjois Max Volume) do a FAR, FAR better job in both of those departments. The color is a nice, rich satisfying black. Smudge-proof?! I beg to differ. While the smudging is not extreme, it’s still there, enough to contradict that label. I like the wand, and the different positions I can hold it to get to the root of the lashes and the inner corner. That wand is indeed a great concept and the size is perfect to give place to maneuver and manicure your lashes. But the end result is not as impressive as other mascaras from Lancôme or other brands, so I wouldn’t repurchase.

Fragrances -Lancme -La Nuit Tresor

Hi!
The night version of Tresor.Same bottle with black strap around the middle=for night,of course.
I like that the bottle is in the shape of a diamond, but I like bottles that sit up,so,I don't like thatthis bottle sits on the side.
What's with lancome and sweet perumes?i don't think "woody" is in their vocabulary.
Too much ...everything.I don't like it.For one night only-I'll wear it,for more-no.
For me it seems fit for night in spring/summer.

Concealers -Lancme -Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer

Overall, this is a good concealer. I would probably purchase this again. Doesn't leave my under eyes looking dry and haggard. Actually, looks hydrating without creasing but I do set it. Water proof claims aren't true but it is very long wearing. Covers very well without color correcting first.

Pros:
Great shade range
Creamy, blendable
Long wearing
Product last for a very long time
Hydrating
Doesn't crease as long as I set it

Cons:
Price

I like this one. It's a keeper.

I am 37 and realized I was getting to the point where finding a good concealer is tricky. I am kind of a perfectionist and don't like texture highlighted. I went to Ulta and the MU artist tried several concealers on me. Many of them were bad. I told him what I wanted. I wanted a concealer that would hide under eye circles while not emphasizing texture. I also just wear BB cream or very light coverage bases and did not want a competing and obvious heavy texture under the eyes. A little brightening is good. A little racoon eye is not. I asked about the Lancome and the sales girl next to me said that one was heavy (ironic since she was the Tarte rep). I could have sworn it was a lighter cream. Then I had the artist get the one he wanted to show me, the Benefit Boiing air brush on one eye and the Lancome on the other. There was not a massive difference in the shade or ability to cover. The eye with the Lancome just looked 80% smoother so I picked it up. I am glad that I did. It is an awesome formulation for me and really does stay put through workouts or 100 degree plus So Cal weather. At first I thought my shade was just barely too light. Once it settled, it was perfect. You get a lot of product in the tube. The price is on the high side but fair. I also like that it has SPF to prevent future aging. It also feels soothing on. I have no complaints.

Tip - Nude lip colors have been the bain of my makeup existence. They usually wash me out or do not have the right undertone. I also picked up the Lancome Nuit et Jour cream lipgloss. It has good pigmentation like a lipstick and is one of the most comfortable formulas I have ever tried on my lips. The color has just the right amount of a peachy salmon undertone to make the very light color super flattering.

Mascara -Lancme -Hypnose Mascara

Brilliant mascara. I have just purchased my second tube of this and loving the new packaging! It doesn't smudge or have any fallout. It also makes my lashes look thicker then they already are (I use a good lash serum) and gives volume, but without the clumping I seem to get with so many other drugstore brands. The provitamin B5 in this formula is also a bonus, I believe it's that which makes my lashes feel softer once I've removed mascara at the end of the night, as opposed to dried-out whenever I've used other brands in the past. Winner!

Highlighters -Lancme -Teint Idole Ultra Custom Highlighting Drops

I got a mini bottle of these custom highlight drops in rose glow in a free gift from Lancôme, which is why I rated the price as being good!

This was my first experience dropping liquid highlight on my face. I wasn’t really here for the sensation.

Anyway, the rose glow colour was gorgeous and they did buff out with a brush to a lovely intense highlight. It dries quick so you need to get to work right away but it did look lovely and definitely something I’ll be trying again soon!

Watch it catch me by surprise in this video:

Moisturizers -Lancme -Genifique Nutrics

An expensive cream that is worth the splurge if you want to spend. As an oily skin type, I can only get away with using this at night and when it's a bit cooler outside. It has shea butter, and a light scent (which is nice compared to most Lancome products). This has a nice texture that melts into the skin and gives skin a glow. Ideal for normal to dry skin types. It feels like a "bandage" for skin. I took off a lippie for the jar packaging.

Fragrances -Lancme -La Vie Est Belle

The pear is the strongest fruit note on me - well, I say strongest, but it is still pretty soft and doesn't leave me with a lasting impression. There is soft vanilla present through all of the fragrance too, with adds a creamy sweetness and warmth to the fragrance. The patchouli is also quick to develop, so whilst everything is sweet, it's not cloyingly so.

The floral notes used are powdery and just provide a background for the iris. It's quite startling how, after around two hours, the fragrance suddenly changes from a soft gourmand to present the wearer with a rich iris note. I don't have much experience with iris in perfumes, so LA VIE EST BELLE is unique enough to me to justify the splurge. After another few hours the fragrance turns slightly nutty and even creamier as the rest of the base notes develop. Whilst the iris note dies down, the combined powderiness of the floral notes remain and softly fade away with the base notes after around nine hours on my skin.

Official scent notes: Iris, orange blossoms, jasmine, black currant, pear, tonka bean, praline, patchouli and vanilla.

I wouldn't wear LA VIE EST BELLE in warm/bright weather as the excellent longevity [9+ hours], and the sensation of warmth that is created by the creamy sweetness in the scent notes can be too much for migraine-prone me; I've made the mistake of wearing it on sunny days, and have been left with banging migraines as a result. I'd say this is definitely a fragrance for autumn/winter - in fact I like to wear this perfume to bed then.

Hi!
A little too expensive.
The bottle is square, but round on the bottom, inside, like a glass of shot of....tequila.Pink liquid.
The leaves make me daydream of how life is beautiful.
Lasts 7-8 hours.
I was making consciousness of being the only one that doesn't love the scent.Apparently I'm not the only one. It's too sweet, powdery.
First I had a sample.Thank God that I bought the 30 ml bottle!I get borred easily with a perfume,so,I change it often.
Maybe the first time I used too much product, because it gave me headache and dizziness. It impregnated a tiny bit in my desk(because I use it on my wrists too) and, sometimes,I get a little of the scent.
With this perfume less is more.
What's with the people using perfumes on the clothes?Perfumes are for skin, not for clothes.

Moisturizers -Lancme -Absolue cream

I tried this cream a few years ago and it made my skin to greasy but now that I’m 51 it seems to work really well for me , it really has smoothed out lines around my eyes and mouth and lifted my jawline in addition to getting completely rid of neck lines ! I think some reviewers are way to young for this as it’s directed toward late 40s and up age. If you use to much it pills up , I use it after my Lancôme Genifique while my skin is still moist and have no problems at all with pilling or drying and rolling off my skin . I buy this regularly and always have my gwp saved up just in case 😊

Mascara -Lancme -Monsieur Big Volume Mascara

This is not getting a lot of love from me. This went on clumpy and wet and stuck my lashes together. I tried multiple coats to build the volume but this just did not deliver. And it destroyed my curl I laboriously put into my lashes. Also tried it with the Cils booster and that helped but the mascara was still clumpy and did not wear well through the day. I get way better results from L'Oreal voluminous waterproof.

Moisturizers -Lancme -Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream

foto

I really love the different textures in the Visionnaire line. The creams do not have sunscreen in them, which gives them a bouncy and comfortable feel. Sunscreen in any product changes the texture, and I apply an independent sunscreen anyway on top of whatever cream I am using. My quip with this is the jar packaging, which we know degrades the formula inside and is not as hygienic as using a pump. I do love the texture of this cream, and how it makes my look feel and look. I find it makes my skin look smoother and brighter, and this is one Lancome product where I do not hate the scent. I do not find this to be a heavy scent at all, it's quite pleasant and not strong to me at all. A lot of their skincare is very rose heavy, but I can handle this. This is expensive, but if you want to splurge on a nice cream, I think most would enjoy this!

Foundations -Lancme -Skin Feels Good Skin Nourishing Foundation

This is a great tinted moisturizer from Lancome. Good coverage, looks natural (not heavy or cakey), and has skincare benefits. That is probably my favorite part! It has hyaluronic acid, which we all know is very hydrating and good for keeping skin moisturized and plump. It also has moringa seed extract, an antioxidant which helps with anti pollution. It is oil free and paraben free, all over "good" for your skin! All skin types can use this too, and I find the shade range is fairly good. I love this product!
