Vit C is a staple in my routine and I'm always on the hunt for a good serum. I had some results with The Ordinary's 23% suspension but I wasn't crazy about the gritty texture (though I did get used to it) Enter the 30% Suspension in Silicone. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, it's a dry matte silicone, not fluid at all. I felt like I had to use quite abit to get some satisfaction applying all over my face and neck and as it comes in a 30ml tube, I ran out of it no time flat. So thank goodness for the low price point! Did it work for me? Well I'm using Vitamin C for maintenance, have been using a while so can't say I was expecting miraculous results. My skin is definitely more even toned since using chemical exfoliators and a combination of vitamin c and rosehip oil (regardless of the brand). I experienced no irritation, just a mild warming sensation upon application as expected. I like this, it works, but I don't love it. End of the day, I just prefer more fluid formulations so I have now moved on to Timeless. Will see how that works out. In any case, I would revisit this for the excellent price point, practical packaging and results.

This was a bit of a wild shot for me, as I only researched a little on ALA. For the price I think it was worth trying, however I'm not sure I will be repurchasing, since the smell is HORRIBLE. It smells like a mixture of burnt plastic and old car tyres melting away, a very chemical and unhealthy smell. For a long time I've been wondering where that disgusting smell comes from in my home. Turns out, it's my face!I can see a slight change in my appearance the next morning; a more evenly toned complexion, slightly faded lines and more glowy skin. I would recommend you to try it if you're curious about ALA, and not too sensitive about scents!

What an AMAZING product!!Feels tacky on it's own and not moisturizing at all, due to the waterbased formula. Also, if you apply too much, it will lay like a white film all over your face. However, if you mix it (even large amounts) with your favorite moisturizer, it's HEAVEN!It really helps my dry skin, and even fades the appearance of fine lines. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice & inexpensive hyaluronic product.

I don't know why but it works. My skin has not been happy with the majority of The Ordinary's products: they break me out and I find them difficult to apply - they either make my skin uncomfortably sticky, form a film on my skin or just peel off. This product has been a pleasant surprise. I use it at night, after cleansing and toning. I usually don't put anything on top or use some light oil if my skin is flaky. It really helps me to calm any inflammations and heal up my acne. I am not sure if it's retinol or any other ingredient in the formula, but it works and significantly improves overall skin texture. I hope they don't reformulate it.

My 59 year-old skin loves this product! I have normal to dry skin, but recently my skin was way more on the dry side and I was even flaking around my mouth and nose areas. I tried many moisturizers and serums that did nothing but give temporary relief. Hylamide changed that within what seemed like less than 48 hours. The flaking disappeared and hasn't returned. I use it morning and night and my skin absorbs it right away. I'm left with quenched skin all day long.

I have very pale skin and since using this I swear much fewer people have asked me if I was sick or told me to go outside and get some sun. It gives a very subtle tan, has never gone patchy on me and a little goes a long way. I have repurchased this and recommended it to friends in the past.

I actually like this product a lot and have repurchased it multiple times. Sad to see all the bad reviews, although I understand some of the points made. The consistency of the product is quite thin. (If it is thick like some reviewers describe I think you got an old batch.) It dries down very quickly after application, leaving my skin looking more even and slightly glowy. I do have reasonably clear skin (and also I am too lazy to wear foundation on a daily basis) therefore I wear this on its own most of the time. If I want more even skin I will put some concealer around the nose, chin etc. The thing I like most about this is that it sets my suncreen. I use an organic suncreen (because most other sunscreens break me out) which for some reason does not sink in properly and leaves my skin feeling sticky. The photography foundation magically sets it in place, takes away any stickyness and leaves me feeling like I am not wearing anything on my skin.

I just tried this today so I can't say if it will break me out or if it's long lasting. What I will say is that this definitely blurs my pores! I normally use the porefessional which works under all my foundations. Today I used this instead and my first impressions are that it blurs my pores like nothing else. I applied it after sunscreen (just on nose, forehead and cheeks) and it did a really good job at mattefying the skin. The foundation I applied over it I've never worn before, so I can't really say much about what difference it made as a primer. I will however say that if it wears good throughout the day I will use this on my no-makeup days to blur pores and create an illusion of absolutely flawless skin. (I don't have any pimples or dry patches at the moment so by flawless I mean that it blurs my pores, and kills the shine from my sunscreen).I forget to put it over the fine lines around my mouth and under my eyes so I will be back with a review on that too. I also want to try mixing it in with my foundation, although I don't have any high expectations for that because no blurring product I've tried has looked good mixed in with foundation.

I purchased this after reading about The Ordinary products online, and finding it on sale at Priceline. I don't use it every day, as I alternate between this and my Glycolic Souffle. I've noticed a remarkable improvement in my skin texture and a reduction in the number of spots I get. I use it before I put on my moisturiser in the evening, but have also used it during the day. It spreads quite thin and you don't need a lot. If you put too much on, it can feel a bit drying and funny. There's a bit of a smell, but that disappears quite quickly. I have taken to recommending this to friends who are looking for a cheap, do-it-all product. Give it a go and if you don't like it, all you've wasted is $10.

After having a baby last summer my skin went crazy. I've been battling acne, melasma, bouts of oilyness followed by dryness and an overall hormonal hot mess. I've had some success with the granactive retinoid in squalane and SA from this line and wanted to add a few products so that I had a more comprehensive routine for AM and PM. I mix a pea size amount in with either the Moisturizing factors or my sunscreen from EltaMD with niacinamide as well as a drop of squalane in the morning. Yes it may dilute my sunscreen but my skin can only absorb so many layers of products so I do what works for me . This mix applies easily, absorbs quickly and wears well under makeup. No pilling or other issues with texture when I use it this way. On it's own it's a creamy silicone based formula that's thicker than a primer with less slip. I did knock a lippie off for being so cone heavy but so far it hasn't been a problem. I did experience a bit of purging the first few days but my overall skin tone is brighter, clearer and less red around my nose and cheeks. This does cause some slight irritation when applied on its own but it goes away quickly and doesn't cause redness or itching. My only frustration with Deciem in general is that they use a lot of cone, glycerine or castor oil bases that can clog up my skin and will cause more breakouts if I layer on too many of their products. So I have to really pick and choose which ones I think my skin can handle. Some serums with glycerine high up in the ingredient list I won't even try like the buffet. This has been a good addition to my skincare routine though and I'll continue to use it . The dirt cheap price is also great

This moisturizer intrigued me. Many moisturizers (especially at this price point) are just emollient, humectants, or mask like ingredients to prevent water from escaping and create a superficial soft surface on the skin. That's why you should use a serum, but I want moisturizer to actually make my skin healthier instead of just making it stay hydrated. This is the one of the main reasons why Cerave is so popular too - it isn't some basic ass moisturizer, it contains more. I've never been a huge fan of Cerave though... Enter this one. This moisturizer contains a lot of skin-identical ingredients, ingredients that are naturally present in healthy skin. Their statement really says it all: "This formula offers non-greasy hydration that acts as a direct topical supplement of impaired NMF components. It contains 11 amino acids, phospholipids, alpha/beta/gamma fatty acids, triglycerides, sterols and sterol esters, glycerin, ceramide precursors, urea, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid. It offers immediate hydration and lasting results with continued use." I thought this would be good to use in the presence of a lot of hydroxyl acids as well.PROS: It's cheap and I feel my skin has been responding well to it. There's not much scent and it's not a heavy layer I need to fuss with, I want my skincare routine to be quick, even with layers in it. It really is non-greasy like they say too, so it plays well with foundation.CONS: First of all, good luck trying to buy it in the 3.4oz size. It's always sold out, takes weeks to be restocked, and sells out in less than 24 hours each time. And since it is cheap, you will pay S&H unless you like other Deciem products. And this is really not moisturizing. If you have dry skin, this will definitely not be enough. You will need to mix it with something like a plant oil or squalane, or use something else hydrating underneath it. This moisturizer has a somewhat smooth or "dry" finish too, even though it doesn't contain silicones. I actually like that quality, though it still leaves me with dry patches where I shave which are in the realm of "yes, I need more moisture". On my good skin is doable. This also has a somewhat matte like quality on the skin - even though it's moisturizer, it's not a wet feeling or looking product, and even stranger, it has a tendency to do something akin to lather on the skin when first applied, like it can be white or streaky... it's strange.OVERALL: You know, I'm actually a bit disappointed simply due to the fact that it's not hydrating enough. I like the ingredients and I do feel that my skin does well with it, it's just not hydrating enough. For now, I will mix it with an oil (hate oils by themselves) or use it with something hydrating underneath like the Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate or the Hylamide Hydra-Density Mist when I buy it.

My details: Combination skin, some noticeable pores around nose region. Prone to redness on the nose and cheeks. Breakouts. This oil is FANTASTIC. My new staple product.Bottle: Is a dark-coloured glass to protect the product within- very important. The dropper can let a BIT too much out at times, but is easy to control nonetheless, especially compared to some bottles I have used (other products) where the dropper is too stiff to use and I have to resort to turning the bottle upside down to get some product out... blehh, not ideal. Price: I paid 7EURO for this product. Amazing. Product: Got out of the shower, and applied it for the 1st time (3-4drops). My skin was immediately soothed and moisturised. It applied like a dream. Took a minute or two to fully absorb, but my my my, it is worth it. My skin was immediately comforted and had a real GLOWWW, I was like, 'ah ma god, is that actually me, glowing like thaaaat?'. I went to bed & woke up the next morning and all of my redness was gone, pores SHRUNKEN, and honestly, my complexion looked healthy and balanced. I had a breakout at that time too, which I think the hydrating benefits of this oil helped to clear up. Since I started using the oil 2 weeks ago, I have had ZERO new breakouts and my skin looks so healthy. SIDENOTE: Has also somehow managed to help with the DARK CIRCLES under my eyes. You know the type- Get 3 hours of sleep, look dead, get 10 hours of sleep- still look dead...use the most expensive eye creams- still look dead... That type? Tha'ts normally my situation, but crazily enough, this oil has helped to make my eye region look 5 years younger and dark circles are all but erased. This week is the 1st time in years I have ventured out of the house without under eye concealer. It's great stuff.Try it. For the price, it's well worth sampling. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me!

I have used this over 6 times now. I have mixed feelings on it.PROS: It's an insanely good value. Using it once or twice a week means it will last quite a long time. It also gives me a quick fix in the brightness department. I use this and the next day my skin usually looks a little less pigmented. It also doesn't make a mess or anything like you would expect from a traditional clay mask. Love the fact that it's red too, it CONS: It doesn't cause skin peeling and I don't feel it's that exfoliating either. There isn't that immediate gratificiation smooth feeling after use I get with scrubs or leave on things. The first like 3 times i used this too, nothing happened. Sometimes there is a little stinging, but there was nothing when I began. Nothing good or bad. It was like I had used a placebo product. I have since left it on longer than the 10 minutes and another time, applied it to slightly damp skin as an experiment. Results were similar, however a little bit of dehydration was creeping up on me. Unless your skin is really sensitive or compromised, I don't think this is that intense of a product even though it does have a lot of acid. I tried it on two other people though who are not experienced with acids and it was "get this off my skin now" and the other one could only stand less than a minute LOL. This is not my skin's first time with acids.OVERALL: If I were to judge it by how it describes itself, as a superficial peeling mask that exfoliates, I would say it's not living up to that (2 or 1). However, it is easy to use and gentle enough that I don't need to worry about it, so I've continued to use it. Over time I feel that it is working better, but it's not going to get those quick smooth feeling results from a leave on AHA or exfoliating cleanser or device. Over time it's been working better. I'll keep using it for maintenance or because it's WAYYYY cheaper than sheet masks and such.

The only other product I can compare this to is MUAC with all their different at-home peels. Both are extremely affordable and come packaged in liquid form that you apply and rinse off. But I can honestly say that I like this peel better than anything I ever bought from MUAC, and there are a few reasons why.MUAC is kind of scary. They have burn-your-face-off, skin-peeling-off-in-sheets, shouldn't-a-dermatologist-really-be-doing-this?-products that I used to use back in the day. This peel, that peel, they offer all manner of peels. I stopped using MUAC a long time ago. My skin isn't perfect, but it's just skin. I really don't need to put it through all that, I decided. But I do love a nice exfoliation. Added glow, a quick skin pick-me-up, this light peel from The Ordinary is perfect for that. I like that it's packaged with a dropper. And I really like that it's tinted. This makes it easy to see where the product has already been applied and how much has been applied in one area. Easier application with this compared to MUAC. I leave it on for ten minutes and rinse off with water. Followed by a wash with a gentle foaming face wash (I don't want to leave anything behind) and a slathering with a luxurious moisturizing cream. My skin is left looking glowy and gorgeous. No downtime, no peeling. No tingling either, but my skin isn't sensitive. It really is a gentle product that you don't need to be wary of, and it delivers great results as well. I'd buy it again!

It's okay? Don't really notice anything different. As compared to currently used hyaluronic acid, this did nothing for me.
