This is not an intensely moisturizing balm. It is more of a maintenance product, to be used on healthy lips. If your lips are chapped, peeling, and/or dehydrated, the formula is not strong enough to revive and repair. I like it as an alternative to lip color, worn daily on its own, or under a lip color as a light moisturizing prep. I have an issue with popular colorless lip moisturizers like Chapstick, Carmex, and the EOS lippies. All of them make my lips feel dry and thirsty for the product as soon as it has disappeared. It's creates a very uncomfortable feeling that I hate. The Chanel Rouge Coco Baume does not do this to my lips, and as a result, has earned a spot in my makeup arsenal.

Being a fan of cream eye shadow I purchased the color 810 Pourpre Profond. The color looks interesting in the jar and is a plum color on the lid. The brush included works very well with the cream. I would have to fault it on the score of Longwear as it does fad on me somewhat but I am not using a primer with it. The colors are not overly full of glitter but give a nice finish. I like it enough to try a couple of other colors.

This suits my dry skin. This foundation is so lightweight that it feels like a tinted moisturizer. It kind of reminds me of Nars tinted moisturizer. Because its light and still have coverage enough, thumbs up on this one!I have B30 which suits my NC25 skintone perfectly!

I have combo acne prone skin oily tzone/normal cheeks .This is a mediocre cream-gel consistency moisturizer. Its not as moisturing as i had hoped. Upon application it feels really nice and thick but also gel like. I got a bit of shine on my forehead and a greasy feeling on my face after a couple hours. This cream worked okay but i had to add more product under my nose, in between eyebrows and dry spots on my chin(areas where i get dry from acne medicine). Its not the right amount of moisture id like in a cream. The only other problem for me is the 1oz bottle for 80usd which is a bit much for just 10 ingredients. I dont think this would be great for night time because its not as rich if you are looking for a heavier type of cream. I just cant see myself repurchasing every month (maybe 6 weeks at most) for a cream that does the same as something half the price. Ive been using and loving the first aid ultra repair cream and its great for sensitive skin but just a bit greasy after couple hours but this one gives you comfort and great moisure i look for. If you have the money then yes this is a luxury item to splurge for a day cream but sadly, for me i cant do it. :(If you are cheap like me i just get samples from the counter or get the 5ml bottles on ebay and buy in bulk. I got 3 of the 5ml for 13dollars which equals to half the bottle of the regular 1oz which is 30 ml. Lol yes its super cheap but hey its a nice way to try it out.

In retrospect, I should have gotten a Bourjois blush as they're made by the same manufacturer as Chanel and the cost would have been considerably less. In any event, I do like this Chanel blush which I got thanks to MUA's glowing reviews and in my goal to achieve a 'glowy' look that doesn't look like excess blush. The shade looks rather plain in the packaging but don't let that fool you. It does impart a subtle look with a soft glow for me which is perfect on my skin tone. (NC30) For extra oomph, I'll use a bit of liquid or cream blush underneath. (NARS Liquid blushes are fabulous) I do think that this shade works best on fair to light/medium skin tones; it may work as a highlighter on darker skin tones. My main complaint is that the powder tends to 'kick up' regardless of what brush I use. The price tag is rather excessive too but it is Chanel. (hence why not five lipsticks)Would I re-purchase? Only if I can't find a similar shade in the Bourjois line.

This makes my face feel very comfortable even under powder foundation. It absorbed very quickly and the feeling is a nongreasy type of balm. It is moisterizing but not as much as i would like. I suffer from acne prone combo skin and i have dry patches due to the use of acne treatments. But if you have dry skin thats not peeling or cracked this would be a lovely primer. I am still trying this out but it does smooth out my skin and i dont have a tight dry feeling from my le teint powder. If i didnt use this id feel more on the greasier side from just using moisterizer under my foundation. It feels like an invisible protective barrier under powder. Will update as i cont to use this. Edit- tried this without using acne treatment and it makes my skin look so nice i cant describe it but i know there is a difference when i have this on. It really adds radiance. I had this on for 4 hours and my skin still looks great not even as oily. I wouldnt say this is oil control but it doesnt make me more oily than i already am. But i wouldve been more greasy if i just had moisturizer on. Primers never wowed me in the past and ive always strayed from them. I usually pick very moisterizing ones to try and it always made me feel like i had a film of grease on my skin. I am a powder foundation wearer and this works really great underneath. Chanels great with samples the 5ml bottles can be used probably 5 to 7 times(you dont need much). I actually ordered mine on ebay since i wasnt going near a nordstroms or macys atm. After trying the sample past few days i couldnt help but ordered the full bottle for 55usd on their website. I enjoy ordering from chanel because of their packaging. Love this primer its def a hg status for powder foundation wearers or if you have drier skin. Pro- smoothing/silky skin Adds brightness and radianceComfortableMoisurizing without being greasyVery nice feel while applyingNon pore clogging/no acne (i break out with everything)Not a strong smell(light peachy floral scent)Nice squeezy sanitary bottleCons- expensive price for the 1oz bottle

I've had this foundation for over six months and I've finally figured out the best way to apply it: use a hydrating primer and then apply with a flat top foundation brush like the Sigma F82. Work quickly! Then go over with a clean, damp beauty blender to smooth out any lines. Definitely go easy around the eyes--I find it's better to bounce the brush instead of buffing it. Set wherever you need with Laura Mercier powder and a setting spray and you're done! It's absolutely flawless and the color match for me is perfect! Best part is it doesn't transfer onto anything!! Not even my glasses!! It lasts all day and my dry skin does well with it so long as I use that hydrating primer. It dries down well and it looks like skin even in a magnifying mirror. I have noticed that sometimes the product in the pump will dry out and I have to shove on it to get the gloopy bits out which is a waste of product but otherwise it functions perfectly!

I had not smelled this before I bought it on Chanel's website. I was fully expecting to like it. The first thing I thought when I first sprayed it was that it smelled like bug spray. Really a disappointment! I am not sure if I want to bother returning it.

I have worn this for a couple of days and I'm still undecided... I am about NC20 and in this B20, not sure if this oxidises a bit. It doesn't last very long, but I really like that it looks like second skin - can look cakey though if too much layers applied. I know that chanel is compared a lot to Bourjois but having tried both, Bourjois is definitely not a dupe. Bourjois is more moisturising and definitely look like you're wearing foundation - not that second skin look.

I only tried the sample and this is something that i wish i loved but unfortunately i didnt. Its too drying and i have combo oily skin. It makes my nose look very powdery/ flakey and acccentuates my dry patches and acne. I tried this as concealer its a bit too fluidy and again too drying for acne scars and such. If you have discoloration and is looking for a quick foundation to put on this would be good fit. This would be very nice as a one step foundation (no need setting with powder) for somebody who has a great moisturizing primer and hydrating base. i have oily combo skin with some parts dry because i use benzyol peroxide for acne which can dry out my chin and middle of my eyebrows. so i dont own anything too moisturizing like one of those coconut primers(hangover primer from toofaced type) for hydration since those tend to make me greasy. I wouldnt want to counteract the powderiness with an oily primer on top of my oiliness. The normal parts of my cheeks looked fine but for me it wasnt a second skin type of foundation. I def felt a film-like feeling on my face(a dry film). Maybe because I am not use to wearing liquid foundations but this felt like a liquid and powder foundation in one which for me was a strange feeling. I am suffering from hormonal acne and some congested bumps on the forehead and it didnt look as good as my ultrawear powder compact (le teint) from chanel. I rather wear a powder foundation for that look so i can control how matte i want my face to be. I am nc 20 in mac maybelline 120 classic ivory and chanel i am b20 which is a bit yellow for me. Smell didnt bother me just the feel and look of it was a lot more powdery(un-natural) than i expected. i have good skin on my cheeks so i feel ideally powder foundation would be easier and blend better since i dont need foundation all over the face, just some areas. Powder is just more natural and seamless and also weightless. I love the powders chanel have! This review is just for those who have dry skin you will need a good primer for this to be more comfortable. Others say this feels like nothing but for me i dont experiment with liquid foundation at all so this did not work. Ive always loved powder foundation so i couldnt get use to this even after reading rave reviews of how light this feels.

Still one of the best foundations out there. If you need more coverage (or higher spf!) it blends beautifully with Chanel CC Cream, mixing a few drops of each before applying; not layering!

Warning: long review but a journey for me in finding the perfect powder!I prefer powder over liquid foundations because its faster to apply and less hassle. I dont like applying foundation all over the face because the mask like feeling and liquid foundations scare me(spreading a liquid all over my face = skin cannot breathe) Ive been looking for the double perfection but it is discontinued. This was the replacement and i must say it's less pigmented so its less coverage. I still like it because its smoothing and mattifying. It still works good just not as great but its nice if you want a lighter coverage. I use this with my mac 196 slant flattop brush its a dense short kabuki type bristles. Its very finely milled so when i dip my brush it has lots of fall out. Def try it out before you order it because ive known many people who reviewed this on nordstroms and hate the new formulation. I dished out the 60usd for this compact because it doesnt break me out like other powder foundations. Ive broken out with bare minerals, mac, maybelline, physician formula, too faced. Basically most powders out there except chanel. I have oily tzones and normal cheeks. I am nc20 nw20 in mac. 120 classic ivory in maybelline. In chanel i am 20 beige. I like this more and more as i experiment with it. It makes my skin look so smooth and natural. Although i must add downside is if you have dryness it will show so make sure to moisterize those patches and areas of your face. It doesnt cover acne as well as the double perfection but it does cover redness. Just the stubborn big red pimples are the ones you would need a concealer to worry about if you are only using this as foundation. Will repurchase and good thing theres refill pansedit: this hasnt broken me out but a bit dry on certain patches of my face because i have acne and use benzyol peroxide so it gives me drier areas where i am treating the bumps like chin and under my nose/ the middle of my eyebrow. I feel like i am wearing nothing when i have this on. Thats why i like this over the perfection lumiere velvet. That one is also a powdery finish but i can feel it on the skin. This one is my fav because it does look better after i set it with fix + and as the day goes by i feel it melts in the skin as i get natural oils. I tried out the perfection lumiere velvet(liquid to powder) and i rather prefer this compact since that one i cant control where i put the liquid foundation(it dries quick) because it needs to spread all over the entire face to look uniformed. i dont need any coverage on my cheeks so i rather use this powder for more precision and it blends seamlessly/effortlessly into the skin concentrating in desired areas. Pros - good color, smooth and soft looking, evens out skin tone, controls oil or atleast it doesnt make me more oily. Not a bad smell, doesnt lingereasy to apply, beautiful mirror and compact. No breakouts, feels comfortable and light on the skin (feels like nothing)Cons-Drying on acne not a full coverage, and the priceEdit- chanel hydra beauty flash made this foundation wear very comfortable. No feeling of dryness. I tested it out on a bad day though. I woke up with very dry patches on my chin due to over using benzyol peroxide so it isnt very fair review. But this exceeded my expectations. The foundation looks great and goes very well with the beauty flash balm. I got little oily on my forehead after 4 hours but a lot better than if i was bare faced. Lovely combo hg status will always repurchaseEdit- acnes been clearing up and not as dry as before. Benzoyl peroxide has helped and slowly trying to stop using it all together since pregnancy hormones calming down. Been wearing this almost daily when i go out and i must say i love it more and more. Everytime i check the mirror i feel like my skin looks so poreless and even. It sits well and looks great over the primer. I do get oily since i am a greaseball in the tzone but it holds up very well until i use my makeup wipe to take it off the end of the night. Love this foundation its one of my favorite makeup items in my stash! Chanel skincare and foundations are def a luxury to have and its a treat to use.

Only the extrait version matters. The EDP is a far cry from anything from the 20’s as this is supposed to be.

Really makes the job and also provides good calming and soothing. Often clay masks tend to dry out too much and for a complete rinsing we end up fighting them... and scratching the skin; here there is no redness - on the contrary skin is soothed and cared for. I really like Chanel skincare and even if my skin is sensitive their fragrances must be very low in allergens as I have never had any issue with.

Price is insane for a cleanser, but have to admit it is one of the best I ever tried! They will say you pay for what you get which is a lie... still as product evaluation one has to give it 5* and be honest about how good it is. The dual cleansing followed by the foam in the same line is just heaven.
