I went 10 years without buying liquid foundation. I have light cool toned skin, but not 001 cool toned. Foundations pull yellow very easily on my skin. Most foundation lines only formulate the palest cool tone as an actual pink based foundation, and beyond that just get progressively warmer/yellower. I don't care if yellow counteracts to "neutralize" my pink undertones - I want my face to match my neck, and my makeup to look like my natural skin. Luminous silk 4.75 is the first foundation I've ever found that matches my skin perfectly. It's light to medium buildable coverage, no scent, blends out well with a beauty blender. Very happy.

This is hands down the best foundation I have ever used on my skin and let me explain why. I do not have perfect skin I have a bit of hyper pigmention from old acne and some scarring. I can achieve a passable smooth texture finish with minimal product where I find with other foundations I have to really try to build it up and it looks so Camry and unnatural.

The idea behind this product is nice but the expensive product falls short. I tried 3 different shades of this and found none that were right. But the finish was not what i was looking for. As a moisturizer it is not as rich as it's price tag. The finish is dry and if you have any dry flake spots they will be enhanced. Not a sanitary open jar packaging either.

Ok, i’m so sad that i need to give this foundation to my friend coz I can’t use it anymore! I had a bad alergic after I used this product the day after, my forehead got so dry, my skin was like screaming, especially in my forehead a lot of dry patches also around my neck coz I used it also in my neck. I was wondering which products that gave me alergic and now i know there’s something in this ingredients that my skin hate! I should realize it from the beginning! I’m glad that now my skin is fine it was really bad i swear be careful:(

This is one of the best foundations I have ever used! It has a medium coverage, that can be either thinned out for those days when you need coverage here and there; it is also buildable without looking cakey. What I have noticed is that this is a foundation that doesn’t amaze you as soon as you apply it. Give it 10 to 15 minutes and it will really stick to your skin with a beautiful semi matte, vaguely dewy finish. I do recommend a smoothing primer for those days when your skin is more problematic though. I had 4.5 shade, which was unfortunately a tad too dark for me.

At application, the high silicone content was evident. It feels oily, but quickly dried and continued to dry. The coverage was light, at best. Within minutes, I had developed dry patches, each with a powdery pigment. Not good. Though 4.5 color seemed lighter than my typical shade in the bottle, it darkened to match my skin at application. Despite my yellow undertone, this "neutral" shade contained a bit to much yellow. While I appreciate the "no fingers in" applicator, it makes it impossible to use with a single hand. Nope, not for me.

I was in the Giorgio Armani store picking out a lipstick to try on my colleague's recommendation. (More like she asked me to try it and I wanted one for myself xD) and just began swatching everything. The texture of the blushes caught my attention. So smooth and fine that I kept in mind this would be my next purchase from them. The shade range isn't very wide. In fact, they always have several duplicates of the shades in their display. I got the shade #306 Attitude. It's a soft natural pink with warm undertones (versus being on the purply baby pinks which I find hard to pull off), which I think hardly suits the name but it's easy to blend and it lasts till the end of my day so I'm happy with it. I always prefer a brush anyway so I'm not concerned it doesn't come with an applicator. Don't touch up on my blush either, it's usually powder that only I find necessary for a sponge to be included. So packaging is okay, though I do think it could look better. It's not something I gush over. But it's sleek, colour and product works well. The rest of the shades are also to the natural and muted nude/pink side besides one hot pink in the line. Hope to explore more shades if they come out with newer shades.

I recently purchased a sample of this foundation and finally tried it today. The texture was lovely and went on very smooth with a dewy finish. It is light but buildable coverage. I love how it made my skin look and it felt like I was wearing nothing at all. Around four hours in, unfortunately my eyelids started turning pink/red and my mouth started getting itchy. I have read that some people were having reactions to this and hoped that I wouldn't be the same. I am sad because this looks gorgeous on the skin but clearly there are some ingredients that are causing allergies in a wide variety of people. I won't be using it again.

I feel compelled to update my original review about this product and the sensitivities it caused, because after reading the latest reviews on top of mine, some users have reported itchiness.Overall i'd like to thank this product and Giorgio Armani. Although it gave me a nightmarish allergic reaction - redness, burning & a patch of about 50 closely clustered whiteheads on both cheeks - it helped me to better understand my skin, identity my allergies and educate myself more about ingredients in cosmetic and skincare products. Basically i got tired of breaking out from new products so I started a spreadsheet listing what i've used and their common ingredients (https://imgur.com/a/Atzql). Two common triggers across troublemaker products were LIMONENE and LINALOOL. Both of them are essential oils - lemon/orange and lavender in that order, and while essential oils are natural, what is not commonly known is that they are also skin allergy triggers. They have no skincare benefits and are added purely for fragrance purposes._______________________LIMONENESEE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_oil"The limonene which is the main component of the oil is a mild irritant, as it dissolves protective skin oils. Limonene and its oxidation products are skin irritants, and limonene-1,2-oxide (formed by aerial oxidation) is a known skin sensitizer. Most reported cases of irritation have involved long-term industrial exposure to the pure compound, e.g. during degreasing or the preparation of paints. However a study of patients presenting dermatitis showed that 3% were sensitized to limonene. Limonene has been observed to cause cancer in male rats, by reacting with α2u-globulin, which is not produced by female rats. There is no evidence for carcinogenicity or genotoxicity in humans. The IARC classifies d-limonene under Class 3: not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans. Limonene is also flammable."P.S Limonene can also pop a balloon in one second _______________________LINALOOLhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linalool"Linalool can be absorbed by inhalation of its aerosol and by oral intake or skin absorption, potentially causing irritation, pain and allergic reactions. Linalool is used as a scent in 60–80% of perfumed hygiene products and cleaning agents including soaps, detergents, shampoos, and lotions. It is also used as a chemical intermediate. One common downstream product of linalool is vitamin E. In addition, linalool is used by pest professionals as a flea, fruit fly and cockroach insecticide."_______________________I'm no longer angered nor surprised that an established company like Giorgio Armani is adding these cheap and irritating ingredients in their luxury-priced products, because a lot of companies do as well in this day and age. As consumers who want to protect our skin and give it only the best, we just have to be more discerning, educated and responsible for what we put on it.That said, not everyone is sensitive to Limonene and Linalool so i hope this review can help those with sensitive skin - please do get a sample or patch test before going full-face.In closing, if i hadn't experienced an allergic reaction, i don't think much of this foundation in terms of wear-time nor coverage. It wasn't terrible, just average performing and the best thing about it was just about the aesthically pleasing packaging.

I had been meaning to try this foundation for a while. After putting it on my skin, even as I was applying it, I immediately could tell a difference in the way my skin looked. Like many others have noted, it gives you a "second skin" appearance...almost like my skin had been air brushed. It was very flawless looking. I like that the packaging comes with a pump and the bottle itself is nice. Yes it's pricey but it is worth it. Luckily I did not experience any breaks outs, rashes or any issues that others had noted. This was totally worth the hype for me.

I didn't want to like this. I've been using drugstore foundation for the last 3 years but received a sample of this to see if the hype was worth it. My primary issue is PIH/PIE and mild textural problems caused by cystic acne on my cheeks. I don't have many issues in my t-zone or neck, so I don't apply a full-face of foundation and conceal only where needed. The finish of this is like a second skin, and provided great coverage even with a small dab of product. I like it far, far more than my Revlon Colorstay, which is too cool and gives me a flatter, matte finish - I will likely grit my teeth and hand over my credit card to purchase this foundation once my Colorstay runs out!Pros:Decent match for my undertones (yellow-olive) Fluid, thin texture that's very easy to apply Medium, buildable coverageDecent staying power on my oily skin Didn't irritate my sensitive skin, and I used this a few days post-peel Cons:Makes me extremely shiny, especially in my t-zoneTexture is slightly sticky and doesn't play well with my oilier areas

This is a wonderful tinted skincare / foundation. I have this in #2 and i love the colour as it's perfect for my NC/NW 15 skintone. The coverage is light to medium and buildable. I use my fingers to apply and it's great! The finish is luminous but at first it is a tad bit matte for my liking; however after a few hours it gives a nice luminosity to the skin. My makeup just looks so much better with this especially if i want to do wear dark / red lips. It's the perfect canvas for the fall / winter months! During the summer I still love my (now discontinued) Chanel Les Beige Tinted Fluid in #10. Did i mention that after cleansing this off my skin feels so smooth, supple and plumped? LOVE IT! Will repurchase this!

Oh I'm going to add to what so many have already said. I too had such high hopes for this Foundation. The foundation does what it says which is that it Glides on smoothly, buildable coverage with a luminous glow. My complexion with this makeup looked absolutely stunning. I was just so amazed, even in the Sun! But that is where my love affair ended. Like others, I had a reaction. My face started itching at the end of the day to the point where I ran home to take the makeup off. With everyone else's reviews on breakouts and reactions to this Foundation, there was no way I was going to try it for another day as my skin just cleared up from a bad hormonal Breakout.

I had such high hopes for this foundation after reading/watching hundreds of reviews but... this was one of my biggest disappointments in makeup purchases in general. Leaving aside the fact that it's so pricey, I could never imagine my skin reacting to any makeup product the way it did with this foundation. Although I have fairly normal/combination skin, which is not sensitive to any makeup and doesn't break out, this foundation caused so much problems for my skin:( although it promises luminous skin look and supposedly works great on most skin types, it looked so dry in places, clinging to my skin, mostly forehead, looking patchy and uneven. I'm neutral undertone and I found 4.5 shade to be too yellow, in general hard to get the right shade for fair neutral skin tone. I would be happy with the coverage it gives as I never look for full coverage in foundation, however there's something in its formula that's absolutely not working on my skin. I started feeling really itchy almost immediately after applying it and by the end of the day, my face was covered in rash, which I never ever had from any other makeup product. I decided to give it another go after my skin completely cleared out, prepping as normally would with any other foundation and unfortunately got the same reaction. Oh well, going back to my holy grail Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Foundation.

I really tried very hard to like this product but even though i want to I just can't. The concept sounds so wonderful - highlighter, mix in with foundation for the glow, blush, etc. However, i don't think it stands up to those hypes. As a blush it is too sheer to pass as a blush. I layered and layered but no colour payoff and when there was some added colour it was non-existent by 11 am (put on at 7 am). I tried #s 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 15. I bought all of them because the concept was great and i bought into the hype. Sadly I gave them away to my nieces as they didn't do anything for me (i'm NC20, 020 in Dior, 10 in Chanel for reference). As a highlighter it's so non-existent too that there's just no point on putting this on. I much prefer a cream blush by Bobbi Brown and Honest Beauty to this for blush, and for highlighting I much prefer Becca Skin Perfector! These brands are HG for their purposes mentioned!
