I love that this product comes in fair shades for me and it does leave a nice satin finish and quite nice medium coverage for a thinner consistency fdtn. I will say I was a touch disappointed given the hype and PRICE that it wasn't more smooth/invisible/skin-like - when I consider the Bourjois Healthy Mix gel serum is awesome and costs about half and I get the result I'm looking for, why spend so much on this product right...?

Bought this to see what the hype is and it was at one point my go to foundation. I used the shade 6.5 which was a tanned colour a good match for when I was wearing fake tan. It made my skin look amazing. however the more I wore it the more I got bored of it. It still has a matte finish in my opinion and does show texture. The price £36 is ridiculous reason why I wouldn’t buy again. I’ve just finished the bottle and tried to scrape out left over product and the applicator snapped think for the price you pay it should be better quality packaging.

I have nothing good to say about this product. Quite possibly the worst product I have ever tried. I was intrigued by the "blurring imperfections" claim. It did not blur anything. The "supreme glow" looks awful and fake. This product made every flaw on my face look 10x worse. Actually made me look older. Applied at 8 am ....... by 11 am I was shocked when I saw what I looked like (I knew something was going on because it just felt "heavy" on my skin) but it was just grease and oil and fake shine. Please get a sample before you purchase. FYI: Face Fabric does blur imperfections and controls oil.

I have normal skin, fine lines and some freckles and this provides good coverage without looking heavy or cakey. It doesn’t settle into fine lines and has a smooth I’m an nc15-20 with neutral-warm undertones and I purchased no 4 which I reckon is nc20. I’ll attach a pic of swatches. It is very similar in colour to the Tarte Shape Tape hydrating foundation in fair-light neutral and the Bobbi Brown foundations in shade 2 Sand. Finish is not luminous or glowy - just a satin with no apparent oxidization. Doesn’t have any fragrance which is nice. I quite like the coverage and finish but I don’t think this is worth AUD$100 a bottle. I would still repurchase though. Ironically I bought a bottle of this years ago in the other style packaging. The GA sales assistant at David Jones wrongly matched me to a 5.5 (like what was she thinking?!) . Even considering it was too dark , I was an oil slick after a couple of hours and needed to blot frequently. I ended up giving it away. Back then I was a dry skin type so not sure if this attributed to the poor outcome but I’m glad I repurchased and gave it another go.

I’ve had this foundation now for a couple of months now. I expected this foundation to be luminous and dewy...it definitely isn’t that on me. My skin is dry to normal, however I have tried different primers with this and I still find it drying. I really wanted to love this product but I think it’s just overly hyped. It has a light to medium coverage. Goes on smoothly and no spf in the foundation so great for photography.
For shade reference: My shade in this is 7.5 for anything thinking about purchasing...

I have had this foundation for over a year. I love it. I use it then get bored and try other foundations but I always come back to this one. For me it's perfect. It lasts all day with good primer and setting spray. It's a light - medium coverage which is all I want. It's expensive but worth it. I'm not a fan of glass bottles as they tend to fall out of my cabinet into my sink and smash plus it's hard to get every drop out with glass. But I will keep buying and I need to learn there is no better foundation out there.

I've been buying this for my son for the last two years for Christmas. He is 23, so it's his first real fragrance. Light and fresh, he loves it year round. There always seem to be some nice bonus gift sets available around the holidays. I'm glad it's a classic because he is very happy when he opens the box!

This is my favorite foundation! I have dry-combination skin and rosacea, and therefore a lot of redness to cover up + bumps and flakiness. After I started using Soolantra the texture of my skin has improved immensely, and I also use a lot of skincare to tackle dehydration which has helped give me a better base. This foundation goes on so smoothly, gives you a lot of time to work it in before it sets and gives a beautiful finish. I work it in in several thin layers and spend a lot of time blending and pressing it in with a beauty blender, which I find gives the most skinlike finish. I go over my cheeks, chin and center of my forehead until I have the coverage that I need and it never goes cakey. You can build it up to medium+ coverage. The t-zone gets oily throughout the day with this one, but that is not a big concern for me with all my other skin problems, and I find that you can blot and powder through the day without ruining the look.I also like to mix this with Armani maestro glow on drier days which gives a dewier finish, and I mix in a drop of Face atelier´s white foundation during winter time. I´m in the shade 2 which is fair neutral, but I find that it leans a bit yellow. Might try to mix with the shade 4.75 to get a cooler and bit darker shade for the summer months. All in all, I find that this works well for my dehydrated textured skin and gives a great amount of coverage if you work with it a bit.

I was in the market for a new foundation and after hearing so much about it from different sources I went with this product. I was disappointed by how patchy it gets after a few hours and when I was getting my makeup done by professional she commented that it was a bit dry. My skin is generally normal-combo so if you have any leaning towards dry skin I would stay away from this.

i wanted to buy lip maestro and i accidentally bought this.I bought 504.Nice color, matte but very dry.Don't recommend. Also very expensive. If you don't care about dry lips, buy it.But there are so many brands,so better to choose something else.I want a lipstick which is matte and hydrating. They say that is difficult but L'oreal, Dior and Urban Decay have achieved that.So try them.L'oreal infallible matte,Urban Decay comfort matte and dior rouge matte.

Don't buy! It does not work as a primer at all, the worst makeup days i had were when i wore it. Makeup doest go on smooth, separates instantly. I tested it with 5 foundations including Milani conceal+perfect , Lancome teint idole ultra 24h, fit me maybelline, lumene cc cream and giorgio armani fusion makeup and it looked super patchy with every single one, i just wanted to wash my face by the time i got to work. Its super greasy as well.

Oil-based foundations were practically on the verge of extinction. There was the forgotten legend, Countess Isserlyn Liquid Makeup and that was pretty much it. Then Multimedia Makeup came on the scene. Then this foundation. Oil in makeup is hot now. Oil-based foundations tend to be runnier than water and silicone and require mixing prior to use. This is considered to be sheer but it's actually quite easy to get fuller coverage without looking too cakey. It also stays on and keeps looking fresh. If you want to explore a missing link in the evolution of foundation, give this one a try.

I am a dark skinned black girl so finding a foundation match is not the easiest of feats. I have tried numerous foundations (I am an obsessive makeup junkie - it is actually a sickness) and this is the BEST colour match I have ever found for my skin. This foundation goes on my skin like silk, it covers everything but looks so natural and like second skin but better. The coverage is fantastic and it wears beautifully. I have oily skin but do not struggle with oil breakthrough for several hours when wearing this foundation (and paired with a primer). It lasts all day long. I will genuinely shed tears if Giorgio Armani were to ever discontinue this foundation so please, never cross this one off the list.

I have impression that people who are reviewing this foundation and saying that it looks bad on dry skin maybe are not reviewing the GLOW version? This is seriously hands down the best foundation for a dry, dehydrated, 40 years old skin. When you that age and all your life you battled with tight, flaky and sometimes even painful skin that drinks any makeup product right up I seriously encourage you to get a sample of this. Surprise surprise Armani counter at my local Harvey Nichols gave me one without too much grumbling. It is important to check the foundation's colour in daylight and how it spreads when you apply it yourself on a dark morning when you're in a hurry rather than the makeup artist in an artificial light of the department store, with their £45 foundation brush, duh.I went with # 4 which is a good match for my light (but not very pale) complexion with warm undertones (Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in 20 and Dior Forever in 020). Don't forget to shake it well and start with applying a small amount to begin with. I've found that fingers work best which is ideal. I usually have 15 minutes tops in the morning and no time to faff with running around wetting a beauty blender or cleaning a foundation brush. So, give it a good shake, one blob from a pipette on the top of my hand and then pat it on my face area by area as it separates quite quickly. I would say it is possible to be able to build it up to medium coverage where you need to and trust me, when you are 40, you don't want to have a full face of caked on 'Instagram makeup'. One drop usually covers most of my face, with the rest I deal with some pinpoint concealing so even if initially expensive (£42) it works out quite economically and it is fool proof. It does not change the colour throughout the day, does not gather in pores or settles in lines (maybe a tiny bit when I apply too much under my eyes). I powder it lightly in the t-zone in the morning which does not seem to kill the glow luckily but makes it adhere to my skin better as the day progresses. Then a gentle blot with a separated layers of a tissue 3 hours later and the glow is toned down a bit but the coverage stays imho up to 6-8 hours.I cannot feel it on my skin, for the first time (and I only had it with two other foundations which I've mentioned above but Dior needs to be sheered out with a beauty blender so it is not as fast to apply) I don't feel my skin going tighter as the day progresses and when I catch my reflection in a mirror, it looks very natural, very healthy and youthful. A winner in my books. It might not be an ideal summer foundation (if there is 'too much glow' it might be this!), even for a pretty sh*** Scottish summer but from October till April it is a godsend. It claims to have spf 30 but it is only methoxycinnamate one which is not a stable sunscreen so if you can, wear some sunscreen underneath. There is alcohol denat. listed in the ingredients but I don't seem to have any reaction to it, nor it affects the feel of the product. Would be better if it was not there but otherwise the foundations is still ok. And my favourite one from Chanel also seems to have some of that in it.It helps to have a nicely exfoliated (so no dry skin flakes as it will adhere to it but pretty every foundation will) and moisturised skin before the application. I did not find that any makeup base made it look any better than when applied directly to the skin but if you find the one that works, please mention it in you review.

This is killer. Thank you to armani for creating this. I purchased this on my way to Mexico and I'm so glad I did! I didn't want to wear foundation there but wasn't comfortable enough with my bare skin. I used primer and this under my eyes and on my blemishes and it was perfect for both. I don't like a super intense under eye and so I appreciated the light-but effective nature of this product. Mr friend said she didn't notice I was even wearing skin makeup! DAMN THE PRICE but still gonna get it again. Beauty is pain as they say.
