As soon as I saw this pop up on Ulta.com I had to get it. The original Alien EDP is my signature fragrance, and I really like most of the Alien flankers that I have smelled, but something about the description and the bottle for Flora Futura made me sure that this would be a safe blind buy. Like the previous reviewer said, it is clear that it is part of the Alien family, but it is a completely new take on the DNA of Alien in my opinion. The cactus flower is the star of the show here, making this a more feminine and classic-style Alien than some of the previous flankers, though the soft woods and amber are still there underneath the blooming cactus goodness. It has an almost powdery feeling to it that makes it feel somewhat softer and closer to the skin, so it doesn't project all over the zip code like Alien can, though there is still a good amount of silage. For being an EDT it does wear pretty well on me, though not nearly as well as Alien EDP, which I can still smell sometimes the following day. Flora Futura is a great spring and summer Alien that doesn't rely too much on citrus; there is a bit of a citrus note, but it is more complimentary than in previous flankers like Eau Sublime or Eau Extraordinaire. Also, can we talk about this freaking gorgeous bottle? IMHO it encapsulates the scent perfectly, as it has the same shape as the original Alien talisman but comes in a more subdued, girly color. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase, and this will be a scent that I reach for a lot during the warmer months.

I never purchased this but have used it. I find the scent sickening. To make things worse, it lasts forever, even a little after bathing. It has pretty strong sillage, too. All this would be great if I liked the scent. Maybe, it is the patchouli that I find so offensive although I can tolerate patchouli in moderation. Everyone has different tastes in fragrances and many like this, apparently. My one try of Alien was much more favorable.

I couldn't rate this bad just because it didn't work on me because it is an important perfume. On me on the opening it was Ok at first because it was just the patchouli note. But then it got terrible as it was drying down. It smelt like rubber on me I couldn't believe it but it did. Strange because I have the 06 or 08 extrait and I love that. Its a patchouli, chocolate, vanilla, caramel mixed in are some floral and it smells amazing. So I will keep the extrait and will either sell or swap my 1.7 ounce bottle of this because sadly it just doesn't work on me. I could not write a oh this smells so bad and just bash it because that's not cool. I see it on other sites and I don't like it. If you dislike something there's a way to say it. Anyway sillage and longevity are excellent with this. I think the dry down is amazing but I wonder if it smells the way I do to other people and I just don't want to take that risk to find out.All in all this is a pioneer in the gourmand world of fragrance, without Angel who knows what that catagory would be like. So I'm super glad this is around and if you can't wear Angel like me try Muse its amazing chocolate heaven with vetiver it truly is an excellent choice.

I found this on eBay for sale for an awesome price so I snatched one and a backup. I'm so glad I did because this smells so good! It opens with the jasmine which is toned down but still there then the caramel comes in and its so good like a floral caramel bubble. I swear in the dry down you can smell the salt mixed in with the amber it's so good. This fragrance lasts till overnight and had excellent sillage. I wish this wasn't so hard to find and was readily available as it smells luscious. Alien is my favorite fragrance from Mugler and I how he comes out with unique takes on fragrance. Love!

This fragrance popped up on eBay for a super good price. Since I've wanted this for so long I snatched it up. This is divine it smells so good it opens with a boozy rum with a cherry almond note and a not so powerful but perfect jasmine mixed in. Then on the dry down is simply amazing its a thick honey, floral, woody vibe. I can't describe it except to say it's so good!I wish there was a boozy Alien flanker that's made permanent. I know I'd buy it. This is a excellent version of Alien. That if you can get your hands on it, it's so worth it! Also this lasts for so long almost to overnight I would say. Sillage is moderate to heavy depending on how much you use. Overall an amazing scent that I would love to get a back up of. Simply amazing!

I could not resist writing a review. I am no expert at writing fragrance review so I'm going to do my best. I'm kind of still stuck in the 80s and for some reason my number one fragrance if I had to choose just one would be vintage poison. I have not yet after trying religiously found anything that works better on my skin then vintage poison. Now the rest of my perfume collection consist of mostly summertime Citrus type of smells because I kind of like perfumes on both ends of the spectrum there. I keep on trying the sweet ones that smell like candy and while they smell great in the bottle they don't don't ever project on me at all. This is no exception. I bought a sample of this one and it came today and I cannot stop applying it and then obsessively smelling my wrists. It smells so good and yummy. But like all sweet smelling perfumes like this they don't last on me. I think it's something to do with my skin because no one else seems to have these issues. After spraying that's on my wrist it lasts for about 40 minutes it's before there's no trace of it at all. A half an hour after I put it on the first time I asked my boy to smell my neck to see if he could smell it and he smelled nothing. He's 12. So while it is incredibly beautiful and delicious and I want to smell like this I can't really achieve the goal personally. Not unless I plan on reapplying this perfume every hour. So even after saying all these things I'm still considering purchasing a full size bottle just because it's stunning. It is the best smelling thing on earth. It just smells like everything delicious is that you would eat at a fair. I smell caramel strongly and a cotton candy scent and it's just incredible. I just wish that it projected on me and lasted on my skin. I'm about to make a trip to TJ Maxx since everyone's talking about finding things like this for cheap prices. Maybe I'll get lucky. I have been getting pretty nice deals on fragrancenet.com. seems like I have a continuous flow of orders coming in from that website. Right now I have a bunch of stuff in my cart then I'm trying to narrow down. I don't have much shopping availability where I live. While there is a TJ Maxx there is no Mall in the middle of the mountains of West Virginia. Therefore most everything is a blind buy

I never tried the og Angel though I want too. I wanted to try this because I wanted a scent with vetiver. This with the hazelnut note that to me smells more like a creamy chocolate is divine. I think this is a cool weather scent so I only wear this when the ac is on so I do get to enjoy this. I'm looking forward to the colder months to wear it. I think it smells amazing and if you're into gourmonds this is an awesome one.The vetiver with the chocolate smells so good. The patchouli note is actually gorgeous and not like the 90's oil i used to wear. I think this is a delicious chocolate with spices and I adore it. I purchased this for a reasonable price and find this lasts on my skin forever and had great sillage. I have 4 Mugler scents and I love them this house makes amazing scents if you ask me.

Jasmine heaven. I like how it stays on your clothes ALL day long. People will notice you when you have this on so be prepared lol. I tend to not wear it a lot for that reason but it’s out of this world good. A more gentle, daytime friendly version of this would be ysl black opium.

This is beautiful, sexy, creamy, warm and yummy! I used to love Angel - but then it turned very angry smelling on me. I've tried on and off...just a no. So, recently I decided to smell and try Muse...ummmm this is basically how Angel used to smell on me...give or take same notes. I don't smell the woods/pine and too much patchouli anymore. Yahhoooooo!! And I found it at Marshall's for $29.99 for a 1oz. Ulta, Sephora, Macy's same size is $70....deal breaker!!

This is a heavenly incense/amber/myrrh bomb and is so delicious I had to just go and buy a backup. The jasmine is not as pronounced in this one as in other versions of Alien---so it has less of a grape soda feel and more of a rich syrupy grown up candied dessert feel. Yet, not really gourmand. But...on the verge. The vanilla and cashmere wood give it a cozy warm ambiance, and this EDP is STRONG. A little goes a long way and you don't want to overspray. That being said, it's one of the few that I let myself sometimes spray with abandon because it doesn't give me a headache, regardless of the heavier notes. Just a lighter hand in the warmer months. I even love the bottle---but my only regret is that I have never actually come across anything larger than the 30ml. Regardless, it's a winner.

Not for the faint of heart. I guess my love of this is due to my association of being in Santorini and Dublin on my honeymoon so perhaps I’m biased. But if you love a spicy and bold vibe, this is your jam. I love the intensity when I first apply it as well as the lingering scent the next day. My other go-to’s are Chanel coco mademoiselle (more so in the winter) Burberry Brit and Clean Smoked Vetiver.

This is a fun, flirty, wine-centric fragrance. The opening is pure red wine, a real grapey one with a hint of tannins that make it very like a rich Cabernet Sauvignon--I think this effect is achieved beautifully by pairing the grape/wine note with the pepper and rose. The litchi note is there, but only to add a hint of sweetness and softness to the whole composition--rather than leaving it astringent and harsh on the skin. Of all of the Mugler "Innocent" offerings, this is by far my favorite...and although LE, it will always have a place in my collection. A++Notes: litchi and grape liqueur, rose, black pepperThe juice inside the bottle is even a deep rich red wine shade.

WOW!!!! I'm totally WOWED by this fragrance. Its been a long time since I've owned a Thierry Mugler fragrance and i love it. It has only four notes which are rhubarb leaves, vanilla bourbon, orange blossom and woodsy notes. I remember about 15 years ago i owned Burberry Brit Red and Aura reminds me of that fragrance since it also had a dominant note of rhubarb. Also, kind of reminds me of Cacharels Eden too. Ive read a lot of reviews that state they get a wintergreen scent or a menthol scent but i dont get that at all with Aura. To me this fragrance is vegetal. That's why it teminds me of Eden. The bourbon vanilla is soooooo soft and comforting. It truly does smell like bourbon. Easily a unisex scent if not downright masculine. Aura is not just another mundane floral scent that dominates womens fragrances. In fact i dont get any floral at all just lovely rhubarb and that incredible bourbon vanilla. Its different. It has its own "aura" lol. The bottle is a total work of art too. I tip my hat to you Mr Mugler. Aura is a winner. Thank you for blessing us with this beautiful fragrance.

Beautiful bottle. I love the scent of wintergreen. However, when I sprayed this, something in the top notes made me want to remove it right away. This frag may be polarizing. People will either love or hate it. On my skin, the cool notes on top and warm notes on the bottom clashed. I could smell Alien, one of my all-time faves, underneath it all, so I will stick with Alien. Perhaps the top notes of Aura, combined with other green/breezy/cool notes would have worked better on me, but that would have made it a totally different frag. This brand is often heavy/warm/spicy, so I'm not sure if they'd ever head in that direction. The market used to be full of "fresh" aqua water note things I could not wear, so TM would need to have something really different that would stand out from those for me to tolerate it.

When I heard my signature/all time favourite perfume, Mugler Womanity would be discontinued I was really upset. I know it was a 'love it or hate it' kind of scent, but for me it was definitely the former, I got the most compliments ever (from guys too) when I wore that.Anyway, I first tried Angel Muse at the airport a year ago, at that time I felt like it was too similar to the original Angel, which on me doesn't really work. Then I tried it last week again and this time I fell in love. Yes, you can definitely tell its origin, but it is more gourmand and in my opinion more unique than Angel and also more wearable since it's not that sugary sweet.Muse's lasting power is not that excellent as Womanity's was, but I don't think anything will ever top that for me unfortunately. My only other small complaint would be the bottle. Although it is beautiful, the fact that it cannot stand (unless you buy the biggest size) is a bit annoying. It is still too early to tell but I might have just found my new signature scent.
