Shampoo -ISO -Reviving Shampoo

I usually use salon products on my hair and grabbed a bottle of the Iso Hydracleanse Reviving Shampoo to try. As familiar as I am with Salon shampoo I hadn't seen or tried this shampoo before but decided to choose it as they had the 1 litre bottle on sale for $16.95 and that is a great price for this size of shampoo.

I was pleasantly surprised by this shampoo. I liked the scent of the shampoo. It was kind of a cross between a candy and fruit smell, which I prefer over florals (sickening). I did find it didn't lather all that great, but I usually wash my hair twice. One to clean the grit, dirt and oils off and the second time to give it an actual wash, if that makes sense. On the second application it lathers wonderfully.

Packaging is pretty simple and plain, but then again its just a shampoo so does it really need to be fancy looking. Not to me as I usually go by scent or qualities for my hair type/condition.

Hair Color -ISO -African Amethyst

So glad I tried this color. It is my new go too permanent color. I add a bit of blue intensifier to it to make a custom shade but this stuff is magical. In darker or cooler lights your hair looks violet purple and then in warm light and sunlight your hair casts this orchid magenta glow. I seriously think unicorns make this and I am in love. When it fades it tends to have a reddish plum color that isn't terrible. The only downfall is that it fades rather quickly. Lots of dry shampoo, cold rinses and sulfate free shampoo to maintain! But so worth it! My new signature color for sure!

Conditioner -ISO -Bouncy Condition for Curly hair

This is my favorite curl conditioner I've ever used. My hair is wavy-curly (2c/3a), thick, and frizzes easily- this tackles frizz without weighing down the curls, and seems to actually emphasize wave. I also use this as a leave-in condish/curl cream. I actually love the scent- it reminds me of a slightly floral salon shampoo.

I've used this for years and recommend it as a gentle relaxer. I order from Amazon and apply it myself. My hair is very short, so I use this every 3 months and color a week later. My hair is very coarse and strong, so ymmv. The first few days my hair looks a little flat and wonky, but it settles down in a week or so.

Shampoo -ISO -Color Preserve Cleanse

on 2/25/2014 5:31:00 PM

My colour has lasted with this for the last couple of months without fading at all, apart from my roots starting to show you would never know that it hadn't been done for such a long time.
The smell of this is a bit chemically but its not very strong so it doesn't bother me, it also doesn't lather up loads and I know some people wouldn't like that, but I personally prefer shampoos that lather less because they have fewer surfactants which is better for your hair/scalp. And it cleans just as well (or better!) as other shampoos I have used that just instantly foam up. Leaves my hair soft, less frizzy and extremely shiny. Would definitely get it again but I think I will stop colouring my hair now, might try the other shampoos from ISO.

This creme works well on my wavy to curly hair that I air dry. It's a nice light formulation that doesn't weigh down hair. I've tried mousse, gel, leave-ins, etc. So far no perfect product. I had to return this one, though, because of an allergic reaction (red dots on my face and neck), which may be from the isopropyl myristate (see cosdna.com for an ingredient list and possible irritants). The product made my hair curlier, which I don't like, but the texture was nice.

This is amazing :D I have wavy-to-straight hair and what I usually do is, I blow-dry it quickly with my fingers then scrunch my hair with this on the ends when it's almost completely dry - result = straight hair with bouncy waves on the ends :)

Conditioner -ISO -Tamer Condition

My mom, who is a stylist used this on my hair after touching up my roots, and I was shocked at how my hair looked. I have been on a quest to smooth down my hair after bleaching it twice and suddenly having crazy frizzy dry hair. This stuff totally tamed my frizz, of course I still needed to flat iron, but how it looked when I was done amazed me. My hair has not been that smooth since before I bleached my hair. I didn't think it could even look like that anymore. The smell is a little strange, but not necessarily bad, kind of like tea

Styling Products -ISO -Bouncy Creme

Edit: I have half the bottle left. I definitely do not like this. Even after a haircut with major thinning/layers, my hair does not do anything other
than feel heavy with product (one pump even!) if I can't
pawn this off to a friend, I'm turfing it. The smell finally got
to me too. While it does fade, it does initially smell like perm solution to me! Weird but true. My bf doesn't notice at least!!
Not fussed by the smell, it fades after styling so I don't find it interfering with my perfumes.

Got this on recommendation of a stylist. Maybe it's my heavy thick hair, or the fact that parts of it curl into ringlets while others just go flat wavy, but I didn't find this got my "flat" bits (the top layer, sadly enough) to get curly enough no matter air drying, twisting, scrunching or diffusing.

For someone with uniform curls and waves, this may be for you. For me, I didn't find it more or less useful than Tresemme, Lacoupe, or Rusk. I guess I'll use this container up and go back to Catwalk Curlesque until I find my HG.

Shampoo -ISO -Reviving Shampoo

I absolutely love ISO shampoo and conditioner. I use all different types of shampoo from drugstore to profession. Currently, I'm using Pantene Prov, Paul Mitchell Green Tea shampoo, Head and Shoulder, and Bain de Terre. I recently had my hair permed and since then all my shampoos besides ISO have made my hair extremely frizzy and unmanageable. With ISO my curls are soften and de frizzed. it's an absolutely wonderful shampoo!

This conditioner moisturizes and adds shine without weighing down my curls. The scent however, is not for me. Too floral for my taste.

This is a must for me when I give my 2a/2b hair a break from the flat iron. It helps form my fine waves into defined curls. However, I never use Bouncy Creme on its own. I rake one or two pumps into my wet hair, then re-comb it through so it's distributed evenly. Then I rake in and scrunch a hard hold gel. Air dry for a bit, scrunch with a cotton t-shirt to get any crunchiness out and I'm done. I tried eliminating Bouncy Creme from my curly routine and I ended up with lifeless, stringy hair. And I know some people complain about the smell, but I kind of like it.

Shampoo -ISO -ISO Multiplicity moisture hydrating shampoo

on 6/7/2011 3:24:00 PM

During the past four months I went on a trek through the world of shampoos ranging from drugstore to high end salon shampoos in search of one that didn't cause me some sort of reaction or negative result.
I am not from the sensitive branch of my family so imagine my dismay when nearly everything from new discoveries to old standbys began disagreeing with either my hair scalp or both. I then stumbled across Iso's Hydra Cleanse shampoo and thought I've never heard of it but why not I've tried nearly everything else. I speak about the 2011 incarnation of this product.
though I'm usually not a fan of shampoos that smell like some sort of fruit salad the fruity fragrance of this shampoo is understated enough so as not to be obtrusive yet has enough sillage that I can detect it throughout the day causing me to smile. though it lasts throughout the day I wouldn't consider it to be of a potency so as to clash with any other scented products in your regiment.
the consistency of the product is a bit off-putting at first as it doesn't seem as if it'll lather. but that is deceptive. though it isn't as foamy and runny as many of its counterparts it lathers quite nicely and has a pleasing texture making it easier to work through hair.
I have medium to thick wavy hair that trends to the normal to oily end of the spectrum so I'm often wary of moisturizing shampoos however this one is mild enough to not weigh hair down or cause any scalp irritation or breakouts at the hairline for me.
it left my hair feeling soft and clean throughout the day.
I do find the plastic of the bottle to be a bit less flexible than some others and the opening of the flip top cap isn't very wide thus making it hard to feel as if you've gotten enough product out. Nevertheless I've never been dissatisfied with the amount dispensed to be able to do its job effectively.
Based upon the performance of this product on my hair and scalp and its pleasing, long lasting though understated fragrance I'm definitely purchasing this product again.
It should also be noted that its price point for a salon type shampoo is quite low by comparison. It might require some hunting in order to purchase but it's well worth the effort. It can easily be found in many salons in my area as well as through many on-line venders.
