Eye Makeup Remover -The Body Shop -Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

on 12/11/2018 11:06:00 AM

I am crazy in love with this product!! It's honestly my most favorite make up remover to date. I always have trouble trying to remove my mascara especially. And just by using a tad bit of the product, i manage to remove my mascara effortlessly. It doesn't irritate my skin, and it doesn't sting my eye (when i started using it i was rlly afraid at first that it would sting me but so far so good) After removing i wash my face straight with a facial cleanser, and it leaves my skin feeling so fresh, i too it off with the Tea Tree facial cleanser from body shop as well, because i have oily and my skin is acne prone. I use my fingers to pick on my eyelashes to make sure i remove my mascara properly, and there wasn't any residue left! Unlike the other make up removers i use, i would thought that i rlly got every single inch of mascara off my lashes, but then i wake up the next morning and my eyes were panda like. This time with this product it rlly did justice. Definitely sticking to this for a long long time

Treatments (Eye) -The Body Shop -Fragrance-Free Elderflower Eye Gel

This is a great pickup for tired, hungover or puffy eyes. Sometimes just nice as a refresher. Good to keep in the fridge.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop -Vitamin E Moisture Cream

on 12/10/2018 12:23:00 AM

only bought this product because I was unable to find pure vitamin E cream anywhere in Tokyo where the dry winter air has made my regular moisturizer useless. First, this was 30 dollars in Japan but I was desperate (in the US i buy high btu vitamin e cream for maybe 10 bucks). Second, the ingredient list doesn't show Vit. E listed online at all, so it doesn't have a lot in it, if anything. Third, even though it was too expensive in Japan and misleading with what it actually is, my skin does feel nice and more moisturized in Tokyo's dry winter. Make up went on well after applying. However, when I return to the US, I will go back to my cheap real vitamin E cream from the bodega for winter dryness.

Body Scrubs -The Body Shop -Aromatherapy Uplifting Salt Scrub

on 12/7/2018 4:41:00 PM

I really liked this scrub! The salt was just the right consistency of scrubbiness. The fragrance was a beautiful mandarin orange, which so uplifting in the morning. And I liked that it doesn't leave a heavy film behind, like many scrubs. My only gripe is the large jar was unwieldy and not very easy to use in the shower. Still, it's one of the best scrubs I've used.

Shampoo -The Body Shop -Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo

After reading lots of positive reviews for the Ginger shampoos' results on dandruff, I got myself the small size bottle of this from a TBS store, despite not being overly keen on the SLS in this. I gave it about 5 attempts, washing my hair, rinsing and repeating, with no conditioner after so as not to interfere with the effect. Did this every 2nd night but by the 5th time my scalp was not just flakey but actually had sore patches at the back of my head. Something in here clearly does not agree with me which is sad as almost all the reviews online for this are very good overall. Stopped using and within a few days my scalp returned back to its normal state. The search continues...

Foundations -The Body Shop -Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation

on 12/6/2018 8:44:00 AM

This foundation was okay, but I wouldn't buy it again. There are definitely better products in the same price range.

I've been using the shade Kaili Azalea 02 (which an employee helped me pick out) for about two months. The coverage is okay. I'd say medium. It's definitely a matte finish which is great for my oily skin. It really keeps the oil at bay longer than other foundations I've tried and didn't break me out at all. However, if you have any dry patches it will emphasize them. I've definitely noticed that more now that it's winter. It doesn't transfer much. My last foundation came of on everything, but this one stays in place. (Example: I caught cold and was able to blow my nose quite a few times before needing to touch up.)

I use a makeup sponge to apply it. It doesn't layer well in my opinion and starts to get really patchy. It's also hard to blend since it dries quickly. It looks okay at first, but after a five hours or so my pores really become more noticeable, and by the end of my work day it doesn't look so great.

I'd say it's worth trying if you're searching for a matte foundation, but it wasn't the best for me.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Hemp Hand Protector

on 12/1/2018 10:42:00 PM

Why is this cream so stinky!!! I can tolerate it for a while, but after half an hour I begin to despise it! The metal tube packaging is also very fragile as it becomes cracked at places and cream comes out from those cracks, making my vanity bag a total mess. It made me transfer the product to a different empty tub which I now carry in my bag. But, the moisturizing quality of it- amazing in a word! I have seb dermatitis and nothing works for my hands except petroleum jelly, and this stinky stuff. It makes my hands softer, heals the drier areas due to dermatitis. I consider it more as a medicine than a hand cream. But I'm not gonna repurchase it for sure. After I finish it, I'll go for shea or British rose hand creams from tbs.

BB Cream -The Body Shop -All-In-One BB Cream

on 12/1/2018 10:05:00 AM

I bought this on a whim in shades 04, my complexion is medium brown and I love it. I don't like wearing heavy foundations and got decent skin with few blemishes. Matte foundations with full cover makes me look older and at 34 I'm looking for a dewy light weight formula that compliments my skin. This is my current winter favourite. It's very easy and quick to apply and I do so with Real Techniques Complexion blender brush. The bb cream don't settle in to fine lines and makes my face feel moisturised!

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -Drops of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Serum

on 11/30/2018 11:25:00 AM

So I've been using this product for almost two years. It took me a while to write a review because I really wanted this product to not work. I know that sounds terrible, but this stuff is pricey for a student like me, and there are more budget friendly serums out there. I always go back to this serum.

I recently smashed one of my serum bottles and was serum-free for about a week. My face was noticeably more dull and not glowy, in comparison to when I used the drops of light serum. The serum makes your skin looks so glowy and fresh, and it's an excellent makeup base. My skin looks so great with this serum that I rarely wear makeup nowadays.

Each bottle lasts around 2 months if you use it twice a day. The packaging and the pipette are very premium. It doesn't instantly remove scars, especially the pitted ones - but unfortunately, realistically there isn't much out there that can. It does gradually lighten you skin and I would wait 4 months to see results. It most definitely helps speed up the process of new scars.

BB Cream -The Body Shop -All-In-One BB Cream

on 11/30/2018 10:10:00 AM

I read the reviews after purchasing and before using this product. I liked it in store, and I liked the idea of it. I have used a product like this before by the Canadian company Quo. However, this one seemed lighter than that one, which wS actually quite heavy. So, I was hesitant when I first put this on. I applied my vitamin c serum and sunscreen and then used my fingers to spread this on top. In the beginning, there was no magic, though it felt truly lovely on my fine, clear dry skin. It was only after a few minutes that I noticed how glowing and natural my skin looked. I have shade 2 and am an NC 30/35. I took off a lippie due to the fact that I don't agree that this is truly a bb cream. As many have stated, this contains no sunscreen and doesn't really "cover", but for my skin, which is quite clear, though blotchy and pigmented in places, it works wonders. This is more of a CC cream, as it tones rather than hides. So, as with many things on this site, it really has to suit your skin type and needs. I personally love this.

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop -Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel

on 11/27/2018 6:19:00 AM

My co-worker has been raving about this shower gel so much that I just had to try it (it has been a long time since I used Body Shop shower gels!). The smell is delicious, it smells like a real pink grapefruit - tangy, fruity and fresh. It doesn’t have an artificial or chemically fragrance and isn’t too sweet either. It’s a great summer scent, light and zesty. It lingers somewhat on the skin, and I was surprised about how long it lingered in my bathroom post shower - around 2 hours! A little goes a long way, as the texture is fairly thick. It lathers easily and creates a soft foam. It isn’t as hydrating as I generally like my body washes to be, but it is very refreshing and makes you feel squeaky clean. It is perfect for sweaty summer days! I also think it would be a great one to use in the mornings to perk you up. I am definitely a fan of this shower gel. The price is affordable and the product is cruelty free, which are huge pluses in my eyes!

Conditioner -The Body Shop -Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter

Save your money, this conditioner is absolutely disgusting. I put it into my dry hair because I use a lot of heat tools hoping that it would help considering it is called hair butter, it did the opposite of that. It was so sticky that it cause my hair to have more Tangles and I couldn't even work the tangles out after the shower while I was using it's a 10 conditioning spray. When I tried to blow dry my hair all that I was left with was a bunch of sticky and disgusting residue on my hairbrush and clumps of hair that were stuck together that would not come apart because of how sticky this stuff is. It is literally so sticky you cannot wash it out and your hands will be covered and disgusting Gunk after you style your hair. Forget about not washing your hair tomorrow you definitely will have to and you will look like a disgusting in grease ball in the meantime.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Butter

on 11/18/2018 9:24:00 AM

I really liked this product, especially the fact that this was more of a whipped body butter and not as thick and solid as the others I've tried from The Body Shop. It was easier to get out of the tub and softer on my skin. It went on much more smoothly. It smells okay. It's fresh and clean, but not overpowering. A little sweet from the honey. I could still wear this under any of my perfumes without any problems. It leaves my skin moisturized and dries quickly so there's no oily residue. It's really nice. I apply this after I shower, particularly to my more dry spots. I always feel great afterwards. I would repurchase this if I weren't more in love with the shea body butter. Just wish that one was the same whipped consistency.

Brows -The Body Shop -Eyebrow kit

My first brow kit and I used it for 10 years. The colour is strong and adds colour to brow nicely.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Vanilla Chai Hand Cream

on 11/14/2018 8:10:00 PM

I really love this hand cream's scent. My hands smell like a chai tea latte, which I love. It's a great winter scent and not overpowering at all. It fades quickly and doesn't last long though. Maybe about 2-3 hours. I wish the scent lasted longer.

I've been using this for a couple weeks. Since I'm testing it out, I've been wearing it more often than I normally would. I would usually just use a hand cream as needed for moisturizing. A small amount goes a long way. It goes on nicely and dries quickly. It doesn't leave behind any greasy feel (which I love). I would like it to be a bit more moisturizing. It does the job, but my hands only feel moisturized for a short time, so I imagine to see real long-term effects this would have to be reapplied often. I didn't experience anything negative from using this. My hands are not usually dry anyways, so maybe this would be more useful to someone that gets dry hands.

If I needed a hand cream, I would definitely buy this one again.
