This is not for dry skin - I will tell you right off the bat. If you have dry skin, you will need to put on a good moisturizer underneath for it to glide on more easily. The coverage is buildable light-medium and the finish is matte. I dont have to set it with a finishing powder as it is already matte on its own but you could if you want to. It stays on very long and the shade selection is great. Price point is also very low. I would enjoy it more if only it wasnt too cakey on me.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild -Megalast lipstick 908 Sugar Plum Fairy

Love the price point but really hate the packaging! Lipstick gets smeared all over the inner part of the cap. I also find that Sugar Plum Fairy looks great for the first three hours or so but over time my lips do start to dry out, and the colour starts getting patchy. It does stain my lips too.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild -MegaGlo Makeup Stick - Blush

This is for peach bum. It's so glowy without being glittery. That's a huge win! I have dry patches on my cheeks that never seem to go away, certain foundations stick to it and cream blush makes it even worse or looks patchy. Unfortunately. So I can only wear it on days when my foundation is smooth and flawless. And I usually prefer to wear this on days I don't wear makeup, just to brighten up my face. I love it. I wish I could wear this every day for that youthful glow. I like to apply it with a small stipple brush

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild -MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick

I bought mine at Walmart and got the shade "Pink Really Hard" and it's a baby pink that dries down a bright pink. It is very easy to apply with the dented applicator. It goes on really creamy and it dries down to a matte finish. I wore this for the whole day and it lasted pretty well. You could tell that some of the product had worn off but it wasn't horrible to the point where there was no trace of color. I really like the color range, since it goes from really light colors to super dark colors. The packaging is cute, but I don't like how the applicator unscrews really easily. It could open by itself and possibly make a mess in your purse. But overall, this is the best liquid lipstick at the drugstore!

Makeup Brushes -Wet 'n' Wild -Luxe Brush Collection

on 11/16/2017 9:59:00 PM

foto

I've been using these brushes every day for five days now, so I have some thoughts. Wet n Wild can be somewhat inconsistent with their products though, especially their LE products, so take these opinions with a grain of salt.
For the brush collection as a whole, they're okay but definitely a disappointment in some ways. They're not remotely as soft as their pink and white vegan brushes. They're not even as soft as the unicorn highlighting brush they released a few months ago. They're somewhat rough to the touch and can feel a bit scratchy on the face, although some more so than others. So that was a major let down for me. Other than that, they're stunning to look at and feel really well made. They're silver with a lavender reflect and the handles are good quality. The ferrules are sturdily attached, unlike their pink and white brushes which can feel a bit flimsy. They also have more of a weight to them than their permanent line and don't have that paint on them that can peel off and make the brushes look ugly after a while.

Now for the individual breakdown:

Dome Pencil Eye Brush: This brush blends out makeup really well on my lower lash line. It’s a bit larger than your average pencil brush, but I don’t really mind. It's dense so it picks up a good amount of product. I have softer pencil brushes though, for sure. But if I press lightly it's not to rough and it gets the job done. I see myself continuing to reach for it.

Tapered Blending Brush: I like this brush. It’s very scratchy, one of the scratchier ones in the collection, but I’m not as picky with my eye brushes as I am about my face brushes. The size is good for getting a color diffused allllll across your crease. A useful brush to have, but nothing too special.

Flat Contour Brush: One of the softer brushes in the collection. I really like this one, and I'm somewhat picky with my contour brushes. It gives me a sharp but diffused contour because it's thin but still blends out the product well. Love love love.

Precision Foundation Brush: This is the only brush I strongly dislike so far. It’s angled and has a dip in the center, so I was very intrigued by the shape and it’s the one I was most excited for. It’s SO scratchy. It’s not even that dense so I don’t get why it feels so hard and pinchy on my face. I stipple when I apply foundation and concealer, so it was extra noticeable. Even when buffing it wasn’t soft, though. It gave me a pretty good finish, but it absorbs so much product that it wasn’t even worth it. I had to apply twice as much product as I normally due because so much of it got soaked into the hairs. It’s a no from me, dawg.

Large Powder Brush: I love love love the shape of this brush. I just wish it was softer. I know I keep mentioning this but I despise rough powder brushes. The shape is unique for my collection though and if I ignore the feeling of it, it works really well. I've used it for bronzer and face powder and I love the look it's given me. It gives me a soft application but doesn't sheer out the product too much, which is a problem I sometimes have with powder brushes.

Precision Setting Brush: Besides the foundation brush, this one is the scratchiest. I'm a broken record at this point, but, like most of the others, it works fine otherwise. It worked fine for precise powder application, the shape makes it amazing for that. I will say, it wasn't the easiest to work with to blend out my contour. It took a bit of effort, but it got the job done.

Blush Brush: This is pretty dense and on the larger side for a blush brush, but I really like it. It doesn’t apply too much product at once and gives a very natural finish, which is what I want from my blush brushes. It works well for bronzer and I’d imagine face powders, since it is on the larger side. It’s rough on the face but not unusable.

Tapered Highlighting Brush: I LOVE this brush! I think it's my favorite one in the line. It's really tiny but very fluffy and it makes my highlights look beautiful. Even some that are a bit more on the chunky side just blend perfectly into my skin when I use this brush. I'm really happy with it, it's quickly become one of my favorite highlighting brushes, like top three, for sure. It also worked well to set my under eye area.

Fluffy Blending Brush: This brush is fine, nothing special, like the other eye brush, but works. One of the softer brushes in the collection and it blends out my eyeshadow really well.

Precision Flat Face Brush: I like this brush. Scratchy like most of the others, but not as bad as the worst ones. It blended out my face concealer well. And honestly not the roughest I've used for under my eyes, just maybe requires a lighter touch. It also applied cream concealer amazingly well, so I'm happy with this one.

Final thoughts:
It’s an OK set. These brushes are going to be a part of their permanent line next year, and I have a hunch they will make their permanent line a bit better quality. WnW tends to skimp out for their LE products.
I didn’t buy this set (it was a gift), but I don’t think I’d regret getting it with the 50% off deal. That works out to about $1.5 per brush, so it’s not too bad at all for the quality. I don’t think you can find better for that price (except for WnW’s $0.99 brushes…). I don’t think I’d pay the full $30 for the whole set, though. I’m a cheap broke college student though, with plenty of good brushes already, so maybe that’s just meee.

This is a beautiful product and it's hard to believe the price considering the overall quality and effect on the skin. It's better than many higher priced items - glowing, soft and youthful on the skin. Really great product. Save your money and buy this instead of a higher priced highlighter

Brows -Wet 'n' Wild -Color Icon Brow & Eye Liner Pencil

on 11/16/2017 3:34:00 PM

The one thing I liked about this is the color is spot on for my dark brown brows. It's a very soft pencil and goes on creamy and thick. It's very easy to over apply. You have to use the spoolie to blend because it's not a natural look at all. I guess this might be good for that extra bold insta-brow or maybe if you do drag. But it's not natural looking at all even when use with an ultra light hand and blended to smithereens. At least it only cost me $2.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild -Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment

on 11/16/2017 3:03:00 PM

foto

This was my first adventure out of my comfort zone and into the world of taupes.

I am <nc10, blonde, and green eyed. There is a photo of me wearing Silent Treatment in my profile right next to a pic of the palette itself. I was NOT expecting to like this as I tend to stick to pinky nudes and mauves. But damn, I love it. It makes my eyes stand out WITHOUT adding too much color to my paper pale face.

I use the "highlight" (warm peach) shade on my lid and the "lid" (taupe) in my crease. The "crease" shade (dark warm shimmery brown) is honestly useless to me. This shade just doesn't flatter my coloring. But I have hooded eyes, so let's just be happy I can fit the other 2.

Like all Wet n Wild eyeshadows, this is awesome quality. Silent Treatment is buttery and highly pigmented. And for less than $5, you can't beat the price point.

*I am seeing a lot of variations in the pics muaers have uploaded re: coloring. The batch I got is not straight up grey and cream. I haven't seen any like that so perhaps those pics are an old version.*

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild -549A Java

on 11/16/2017 2:07:00 PM

I have tried SO many lipsticks/tinted balms, hoping to find "the one"...that shade I could prefer above all others and wear every single day and always love it. THIS is that shade for me! Java is an interesting shade, because it's not an orangey brown, but not rosy either. A medium bronzed nude, with a pearl (not overly frosty) finish, that looks prettier on than in the tube. I can just wear this lipstick, mascara, and bronzer, and I look so put together. For reference, I have fair/light, neutral skin, and naturally pigmented lips. Color wears a decent amount of time, and does not dry out my lips. Also, only costs $0.99! I don't like the new packaging with the beveled lid, it's harder to close and sometimes nicks the lipstick when I'm opening, but that's my only complaint. Gonna buy a few backups, I love it so much!

Foundations -Wet 'n' Wild -Photo Focus Foundation

I've only used this for events, because it doesn't have SPF and isn't really an everyday foundation. It did look really good in photos from two weddings I was in. It doesn't look as natural in person in my opinion, but in photos it looks fairly skin-like. I was fairly high-to-medium coverage. I wore a moisturizer underneath and I still felt kind of dry at first. I think it looked best from the 2-5 hours after applying period. I will update if I try it more.

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild -MegaBrilliance Lip Gloss

Super cheap - 4 for $5 (or even less with a CVS coupon) mini-tubes of gloss packaged for holiday gift giving (Marked $8 for 4 tubes - I spent more like $4). Very sheer, very cheaply made (in China) so they are probably toxic, but hey, I have tweens to buy for.

You get what you pay for - so no, these are not terrific but they are fun and frivolous, and easy for gift giving.
Very lightly pigmented so the color in the tube is NOT what you see on your lips.

This has so many rave reviews but I think its just meh. It doesn't show up very well on me, it takes quite a bit of building it up. And the color is too pink for me and also too glittery. The main reason I got this was the reviews said it wasn't glittery, that it looked "lit from within". But, its just another glitter highlighter. Not bad for $6 tho

For ref, I'm NC37 and I got the shade Golden Beige and here`s my take:-

Pros
Cheap
smells like all ordinary foundation.. its chemical base! it doesnt lasts upon application
goes well with my stippling brush and i needed 2 scoops of spatula
photos really well as the product prides itself !! This was designed for selfies in mind. Also it does not contain SPF (part of that flawless finish will be attributed to this)

Cons
I didnt like the spatula .. not hygienic ...wished it came with a pump
it does oxidizes, looking darker and i did feel I shoulda' got Soft Bisque instead

Recommend?
If you lov selfies .. buy!.

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild -Silk Finish 503C Will You Be With Me?

I was expecting this to be more of a nude pink color, but on my lips it came out as an opaque, bubblegum pink shade. Still a pretty shade, and I would've rated it higher, but it didn't wear off my lips gracefully. It kind of faded in splotches.
