I've been a CeraVe user for years. At $13 a bottle, it's not terrible expensive, but sometimes, in the dead of winter's polar vortex, it feels too harsh to my super-dry, super -sensitive skin. So today, at my favorite discount store, the husband and I were checking out, and there was a display for Pond's on sale, $1.99 a jar. (and with my coupon, $1.60 for the jar). Heck, for $1.99 I figure I could try it and if I can't use it on my face, I could use it on the elbows, cuticles, and heels. So I used it on my face. No makeup but always, SPF50 sunscreen. Just melted it on and let it sit as I got ready to shower, then rinsed it off in the shower. My skin felt as if I had put a layer of moisturizer on. I like the feeling- soft and supple. I like the texture, like really thick cream. I like the light scent, slightly citrus, slightly floral.I will definitely try it to remove a full face of makeup (not eye makeup; I have to use a separate remover so I'm not rubbing and tugging).Normally I'm not a fan of stuff for the face in jars, but since it will be rinsed off pretty quickly, I think it's OK, especially since the jar is not huge.I can see this as my winter cleanser/year-round makeup remover, and CeraVe for my summer cleanser. If your skin is prone to breaking out, this cold cream may not be for you. But if you have dry, sensitive skin you might want to try Pond's.

This is a great oldie but goody. I buy this from time to time as my way to take off my make up. I love how it feels so buttery & disoves into skin. You get a nice moisturizing treatment while it takes off your make up.

This is great for stubborn dry patches, and doubles as an excellent eye cream. I use this at night, and it helps keeps my combo oily/dry skin more balanced. I find this a little too emollient for daytime use, even when applied lightly. The skin around my eyes is quite dry, year round, and I love slathering this on to keep that area hydrated. Smells very nice, kind of a baby soft scent. Most stores carry their own dupes, at a lower cost. At the moment I am using Dollar General's version, which has an identical ingredient list. Would repurchase!

I love this product but I can’t always find it in the shops nowadays. Ponds are missing a trick. They should do a relaunch this classic with bigger jars and updated packaging.

It just don’t agree with my sensitive skin. It gives me tiny little rash bumps after applying the cold cream to remove makeup. I threw away the cream. My suspicion is that the mineral oil in it gave me the allergy.

I use this every day. It smells great! A little goes a long way. I use it on my face, hands and rough spots. Absolutely love it!

I love this stuff! After trying everything under the sun - especially the really expensive brands! - and hitting a wall, i asked myself "What did my grandma use?" She had perfect skin and always lied about her age and everyone believed her! (After she passed we all found out she was actually 20 years older than she what she said her age was and we were all dumbfounded! True story! God bless her!) Ponds was the answer. Great at getting makeup off and super cleansing. A little bit goes a long way. Love the smell! Apply a small amount by rubbing it in, then use a warm, damp wash cloth to remove. Voila! Clean, smooth, soft, velvety, moisturized, healthy glowing skin! Thank you, Grandma! 😊

I use this every time I wear heavy makeup and foundation. I just massage a bit into my face and wipe it off with a damp cloth, and then I follow with a foaming cleanser. This doesn’t ever break me out or irritate, and it doesn’t make my skin overly greasy even when it’s on the oilier side. The only thing I don’t like is that the packaging isn’t the most sanitary, I would prefer in a squeeze tube or pump.

This product quickly became one of my favorites. I happened to be in the store one day and I cant remember why, but I decided to try it. I have always seen it and used to wash my grandmas face with it when i was little and we played 'spa day.' I use it to take off my makeup and to just clean my face when my texture has been off and my skin is dried out. depending on what my skin's texture and problems are, i would follow up with the burts bee's cotton extract sensitive cleanser. I always follow it up with a cotton square of witch hazel all around and my skin becomes so soft and smooth. I honestly want to kick myself whenever I fall off the waggon of using this before bed because I just love how soft it makes my face. you will not regret buying this. it is beyond versatile and honestly i even use it as a lotion sometimes haha

Pond's Cucumber Cleanser makes a very nice A.M. cleanser. It rinses clean and leaves the skin nice and soft. I use a generous amount, massage it in good, and rinse thoroughly. Afterwards, my skin felt clean but not tight. I still prefer the classic cold cream, and I use that at night. This, however, is great for the morning. I actually had a hard time finding this product. Finally, after much hunting, I found it at CVS right by the cold cream version. The bottles are nearly identical, except this jar has a picture of a cucumber slice on it. I expected a creamy thick texture based on the jar packaging, but this is actually a runny lotion. A tube or pump would have worked better. That's a minor matter, however. Overall, this is a great product.

I’ve been a Ponds fan for years and usually use the plain old cold creme but picked this up by accident. It’s not as “solid” as the cold creme (which I like) and works like a charm to remove sunscreen, foundation, and even black MAC eyeliner (although, yes, it’s a pain to wipe away from my eyes.)I use large square cotton pads dampened to cleanse. I don’t experience any irritation or breakouts - thank heavens.I usually follow up with a light gel cleanser and my Clarisonic or just a damp cloth. $6. Gotta love it.If you are a balm cleanser fan - or even oil cleanser fan - give it a shot. Then you can save some $ for the fun stuff!

I work with elderly people. I have run across a few residents on their 80s and 90s that have the prettiest of skin. Each one I asked showed me this product in their rooms. They told me they have been using it since they were kids and it’s the “secret weapon” to beautiful skin for life.
I have been using this for many of years now. I get compliments often about my skin and how beautiful and smooth it looks. I truly know that it’s this moisturizer!
Also, my boyfriend has flakey skin on his face. I asked him to give this lotion a try. When he uses it religiously, his skin does not flake. When he stops using it, it flakes.
I SWEAR by this stuff!!!
Most people pass it up because the packaging is not the prettiest. BUT!! It’s what is inside that truly counts!

I bought this to try out as a 1st cleanse/remove makeup. It's a thick white cream. It goes on smooth and very thick. It has a grandma type smell that's fairly strong but didn't overly bother me. It does an okay job of removing makeup, it doesn't touch water proof makeup. But it's a beast to get off. You can tissue it off but then you leave tons still on your face. I have to wash my face twice to get it off. Even after that it leaves a residue which to be fair is moisturizing, it just makes me concerned that any skin care I follow up with won't absorb into my skin through that layer it leaves. I ended up throwing it out because it didn't do what I bought it for all that well and I couldn't come up with another use for it. I could be a moisturizing mask but I didn't want to deal with either sleeping in it and getting it all over my pillow or trying to remove it and not being able to use other skin care after it. I went back to my sleeping mask and my Clinique take the day off balm.

Really wanted this work but it didn't. Used it 2X a day for 2 months and there is barely any lightening on the tiny freckles and absolutely zero impact on a larger, darker spot on my arm.The fragrance is noticeable but it wasn't off-putting for me. Even though I used the Normal to Dry skin version it made my skin dry. With the low price point it was worth trying but I won't be buying it again.

Pros - Amazing at removing make-up and sunscreen- Definitely made me feel very retro/cool using this- I don't need to use water to clean my face- My face feels super moisturized afterwards and the next morning! Cons- Not for someone who prefers "squeaky-clean" skin- I am SUPER sensitive to fragranced products and cannot stand the smell of this (apparently this was recently reformulated, the smell is super chemical-y)- The way I've used it (putting a layer over my face and wiping clean) is the most effective way, but you need a lot of product to clean your skin- I dislike the open top and the fact you need a spoon scoopTbh I've only used the cold cream a couple times, but every time I get headaches from the strong smell. Again, I am someone who is very sensitive to fragrance. But, if you are okay with fragranced products, I really recommend this! I wish I could keep using Pond's cold cream cleanser because my skin loved it, but unfortunately my nose did not...
