I really wanted to like this. It removes makeup well without stripping the skin. However- beware if you have sensitive skin. Something in this made my skin red!!! I don’t get how they can claim it protects against pollutants and defends your skin when it can’t even be used on sensitive skin.

I've always been surprised at how many people like this sunscreen. It has been in the PC lineup for many years and certainly has a following (it's also repackaged in the PC CALM sub-brand). I've bought it several times over the years and every time I'm reminded why I am neutral on repurchasing it. First, the good: The sunscreen works: I've never been burned while using this sunscreen and I haven't developed pigmentation while using it. I have rosacea and it does not irritate my skin. It also feels lightweight on the skin.Second, the bad: I look dead while wearing it. The white cast it imparts on my skin (and I'm fair skinned) gives this 'death warmed over' look that seems very unique to my complexion. It doesn't really moisturize either. Finally, it shifts (by which I mean if you run your finger along your face, this sunscreen is going to slide right off onto it). Ultimately, it doesn't feel tenacious (which is unusual for a mineral sunscreen)Bottom line: the current tube of this will be my last. There are other PC sunscreens (the Resist Ultra Light and the Skin Recovery), plus those from other brands (SkinMedica, EltaMD, SkinCeuticals) that are much better options.

I've been using this moisturizer for about 3 months now, both morning and night. Using it through the summer months was a little strange, as I found this moisturizer felt light weight when applying, but it quickly made my combination, acne prone adult skin look oily by midday. The texture was watery feeling, but seemed to sit on top of my skin instead of being absorbed. However, as a PRO, I would say that this moisturizer did NOT seem to add to my breakouts. I'm 31, but hormonal acne is still a major concern for me. It's nice knowing that this moisturizer didn't make matters worse.I don't mind this moisturizer but I definitely don't love it.

I HAD THE SAMPLEThis product is a booster or an essence. It is designed to give your skin a little bit of "oomph"with extra beneficial ingredients. The star ingredients that it has and wishes to amplify are calledpeptides. In theory peptides work as skin cell communicators (SCC), and these tell the skin to behave better(Like say Vitamin A).There is research for SCC's .. mainly as Vitamin A and Niacin. Peptides are good for the skin, but their role as SCC's only work in theory. Peptides seem to work best as skin barrier repair agents, or disinfectants. In order to do so, they have to be in a hydrophobic stable package. If you want a product that has a lot of peptides this is a god option. There are a lot in this product, and they are mostly listed at the top.SCC:palmitoyl tripeptide-1,palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7,palmitoyl hexapeptide-12,mytistoyl hexapeptide-16 hexanoyl dipeptide-3,arginine,and azelaoyl bis-dipeptide-10.SII:phospholipids,glycine,sodium PCA, valine, lecithin and dextrin.AII:dipotassium glycyrhizzateAntioxidants:euterpe oleracea extract, aspartic acid, alanine, histidine, serine, and hydrolized silk. This has a gel like texture that dries instantly. I would say it is suitable for all skin typesexcept dry skin. My skin type is normal, and it did not give me any problems. After drying it can be used with other products or mixed in your favorite moisturizer.Due to its texture and how quickly it dried it probably will not pill. This is expensive for 0.67 oz it is $52.00! I would definitely try the sample first. If you are thinking about trying it. The sample cost$2.00 for 1ml.This is cruelty free, but not vegan due to the hydrolized silk.

Paula's Choice Cleansing Cloths: These wipes were okay, but left a slight residue the packaging mentions this, but it isn't heavy. To be honest it felt more like a toner. I wasn't wearing much makeup when I used this .Just a tinted moisturizer and some skin toned lipstick. However, I doubt it would remove heavy eye makeup. If you want your skin to feel squeaky clean you may not like this. This may not be suited for oily or combination skin, and if not rinsed off it may interfere with the next lotion or SS you apply ( like pilling for example). It has some good ingredients like humectants, antioxidants, anti-irritants,and skin identicle ingredients. These can be washed off, but rinsing is optional. So, if you want a toner effect it can be left on. However, if your skin is sensitive, or it stings your eyes. I would avoid leaving it on. Due to the sodium hydroxide. AII: chamomilla recutita extract, allantoin, oat mental extract and panthenol.Antioxidants: pomegranate extract.SII: sorbic acid and glycerin.Personally, I disliked this product. Because, the directions were confusing, and I did not like how it felt. This product is cruelty free and the ingredients are vegan. It also advertises itself as oil free and this is true.

Paula's choice clinical ceramide enriched firming moisturizer:SII: Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, ceramide AP, ceramide EOS, ceramics EOP, cholesterol, sodium PCA and squalene.SCC:retinol and carnosine.Antioxidants: Abscorbyl glucoside, tetrahexyl ascorbate, retinol, punica granatum food extract, grape seed extract, tocopheryl acetate.Anti- irritants:licorice root extract and panthenol.I USED THE SAMPLE.First off the bat, this can not firm your skin alone, not even close. Having a gentle skin care routine, daily use of ss, not smoking, eating a healthy diet with a variety of antioxidants and daily exercise ( no yo-yo dieting) is all you can do to prevent that. Paula and her team knows this, so I find the firming creams gimmicky. The sample is 0.05 fl oz for $2.00. The NSP is $58.00 for 1.7 fl oz. The product recommends you apply this twice a day. So, no matter what this product is expensive. This product boasts that it has 5 ceramides and a ton of vitamin c for the skin along with retinol. That is true, there are 5 ceramides and two forms of vitamin c included, and they are all listed pretty high on the ingredient list, so its not just window dressing. This says it is good for all skin types. This is a light weight moisturizer and all skin types might like it. I noticed it dried quickly in most areas. It might be a little too heavy for normal or oily skin types. For those wondering... This is a cruelty free product, but it contains cholesterol. Which is a good moisturizing ingredient. But, it is not vegan.

Paula's Choice Perfect Cleansing oilI HAD 2 SAMPLES.This is a gentle moisturizer with out any harsh detergents . (If you're worried about sulfate it has some but not ' lauryl sulfate'). It has vitamin E and grape seed extract as antioxidants, but they don't get to do much as they're washed down the drain. This is recommended for all skin types. Obviously it would be best for dry skin. My skin is normal. This felt like micellar water. It felt like it already absorbed when I was rinsing my skin. Can this take off makeup in one step? No, it removes a lot, but for heavy eyeliner, mascara or matte lipstick you will need an extra product. The sample is 3.5 ml/0.12 fl. oz. For 0.80 cents and $25.00 for 4 fl. oz.For those wondering this product is cruelty free and vegan.

This review is a difficult one for me as I had been using Skinceuticals CE serum which I absolutely love. I purchased Paula's Choice C15 booster to see if it was the same as, better than, or worse than the Skinceuticals CE Serum. After using this product for 3 months, I really like it a lot. Maybe not as much as the Skinceuticals CE serum, but it is close. But it is the price that makes the Resist C15 Booster my first choice serum. I love Skinceuticals and if you dropped the price to at least $100 then I would return to it, otherwise it is Paula's Choice for me.

I have used this sunscreen forever and it is truly a good product. It is a mineral sunscreen that isn't too heavy or too light. It is a medium weight sunscreen that provides moisture and sun protection. It does not contain fragrance or irritating ingredients. The price is about $29 for 2 ounces and a tube lasts me about one month. There is no tint and although I am very fair, I do not notice a white cast. I have very sensitive skin and this does not irritate me. This is an excellent product however, the manufacturer of this product, Paula's Choice, has recently been sending me older tubes that are about to expire. This makes me wonder if they are getting ready to discontinue the product. I have ordered three times and each time I receive a product that is weeks away from expiring. This is the only sunscreen that my skin can tolerate and I would like to continue ordering it if I can get a tube that is not old.

A god-send! Whenever I wash my hair on an evening my face becomes dry and tight shortly after, possibly due to the shampoo suds and how hot I like to run the water. All I need is to slather a thick layer over this over my face and throat and immediately any feeling of tightness or discomfort is erased. It's never broken me out or caused acne, despite the fact that it is made of oils. Yes it does contain silicones but at a much lower level than in other PC products, and never gives me any problems. I leave this to absorb into my skin, which usually takes a few minutes, and then I go to sleep, no need to wash off as it's basically like a thick night cream or sleeping mask. I also have this in sample sizes which I purchased from the website to take with me when travelling and cabin air dries my skin out. As with all soft tube products I just cut in half to get to the bottom and push the top half down over the pliable bottom half to keep it reasonably sealed and prevent it drying out. One of my fave PC products. Selena x~ My HG list ~(As I've sampled many 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I used to really love this, but now it's given me a burn under my eye that hurts so badly. It's stung before but this is unbearable. I don't understand what's wrong.

It was a bit of a journey for me with this one. The first time I tried it it dried my skin and oxidized my mineral powder foundation and turned my face orange. So if you use heavy-ish foundation that will probably be an issue with this moisturizer. I am very very acne prone and surprisingly I had no problems with this silicone-full formula, which encouraged me to look for ways to use the product. The ultimate solution was to use an Asian-style toner/lotion like Hada Labo first (plus a doze of mist) and seal it with this moisturizer. This left my skin both hydrated and protected throughout the day. I don't use foundation any more, just some concealer and light powder on top and this way makeup oxidization in not an issue any more. The ultimate test will be how this product fares in cold windy winter. PS. I use this moisturizer and the Hada Labo lotion around my eyes as well instead of a separate eye cream and the results are amazing: concealer doesn't crease as much and my milia was also reduced.

Paula's Choice Skincare is a line of cosmetics that I have really grown to love. That said, I am a little confused by the release of the new Defense line from the brand. That being said, I can see if you are someone that is younger who doesn't need an anti-aging regimen, or an acne routine, that some these products might be a good beginner routine for someone just looking for the basic products or very very mild exfoliants, moisturizers, and cleansers. The Paula's Choice Defense Nightly Reconditioning Moisturizer is more of a gel textured moisturizer that provides light hydration. My skin it too dry to use this on its own so I simply just added this to my routine. This does contain many beneficial ingredients and I love that it is fragrance free. I tried using this in the morning but this just didn't play well with my other makeup. I'm going to save this for the winter when my skin always needs just an extra boost of moisture. That said, unless I find it helpful during the long Minnesota winter, I probably wouldn't purchase this again. My video review can be seen here:

I think this is a good cleansing product. The cleanser is creamy but surprisingly removes the dirt and grimes of the day. It also rinses easily. My skin felt soft after washing but it did feel as if there's something on my face and I would guess that's the hyaluronic acid and ceramides. It didn't leave my skin squeaky clean like other products. My confusion with this product is that according to Paula Begoun, anti-aging ingredients in a facewash are useless because they're just washed away. I'm not sure why then did she load up this cleanser with anti-aging ingredients that made it expensive. Are customers just washing aways their money down the drain with this product? There seems to be many contradicting statements coming from Paula's Choice that leaves the consumers confused.

Update: It's interesting that some hard core fans of Paula's Choice can't stand to read negative but truthful reviews about their products. From what I've read, the negative reviews are powerful reflection of Paula's Choice products and strategy in the marketpalce.A reviewer seems to be getting paranoid and delusional about the reviews and about the status being downgraded. This reviewer haven't wrote a review in a long time but just wrote one to defend this product for whatever agenda that might come with it.Read the other reviews carefully, it reflects both the product and the company as a whole and both go hand in hand. If you can't stand these negative reviews then you have no place in a forum like this. Reviews, whether positive or negative, are guides for the general public. This is what MUA is all about.____________________________________________________________________________________________________I'm having a buyer's remorse after a week of using this. I wish I read the first reviewer (jinbox) before purchasing and I would have not purchased this at all. While I read the product description multiple times and knowing that it has weak salicylic acid and the derivate azelaic acid might not do anything major, I still went ahead and bought it thinking that Paula's Choice wouldn't make a product that did not produce any results. After a week of use, it didn't really produce anything remarkable. I could have just continued with BHA, niacinamide and others since they're more potent on their own.I think jinbox's review made a lot of sense and other reviews mirrored the same sentiment. Why indeed repeat something when you can stick with the more potent versions?
