I absolutely adore the new re-formulated version of this moisturiser!I had tried the old version a year or two ago and it made my combo-oily skin red, dry and a bit irritated ; so I was skeptical to try it again! I am soo glad I did though, because it now works with my skin perfectly! The texture of the moisturiser is a thickish cream-gel that is a similar consistency to the skin balancing moisture gel from Paula's Choice but less siliconey than that one. It feels really soothing on the skin and almost cooling. It is a pleasure to use and offers just the right level of moisture for my oily T zone and normal cheeks. The product is packed full of fantastic ingredients like niacinamide and vitamin c , it absorbs quickly to a matte finish and feels like nothing on the skin once it sinks in. I have noticed that red marks on my skin have faded dramatically since I started using this and I havent experienced any breakouts or irritation at all. I am so pleased that I have fiiinally found my perfect lightweight moisturiser!!! The old formula used to ball up on the skin and had a weird smell - this new version does not - its freaking perfect!!!

As in all Paula’s choice toner that I have tried, there are something in this toner that irritates my skin slightly. Finished the whole bottle and will not repurchase. Toner is definitely hydrating, such a shame.

The one I tried doesn’t have the writing “Skin Remodeling Complex”. Anyhow, as in other Paula’s choice toners I have tried, there are something in this toner that irritates my skin slightly. If it wasn’t for that, I would have given this toner 5/5 as it feels hydrating. Such a shame, not sure what ingredient it is that irritate my sensitive skin.

I finally found my HG SPF lip balm! Doesn't leave a white cast or bad taste in my mouth and moisturizes my lips very well.

I read the reviews and I see I wasn't the only one this product was too strong for. My reactions were: skin peeling, burning/tingling sensation, some redness, especially around my eyes. At first I thought it was because I used the BHA exfoliant in the morning, followed by this. So I skipped the BHA and tried it alone, with only one drop. Same thing happened again but to a milder degree. I use PC's 1% retinol at night. Don't have sensitive skin as such. Gonna have to stop using and slap on some la mer to rescue my face now, alas.

I bought this in liquid and in the cream form. Firstly, texture wise definitely preferred the cream one. Although both makes my face feel clogged and feels like my skin cant rly breathe.
Like another review i read, this doesnt seem to work on me. Dont think it reduced redness or pores or made my skintone radiant/even. It's just mild and i start to think if it's just a placebo.
I would give it an average review though, because i remember i had a fresh pimple scar that dents into my skin and i was very worried as it was the first scar that ever happened to my face. I used this religiously on it and it rly disappeared.
Likely Wont repurchase - for the reason that theres so many skincare products that have bha in them now, and with the ineffectiveness of paula's choice, i dont rly think theres a need to purchase a separate bha just to exfoliate.

The Paula's Choice RESIST Skin Restoring Moisturizer with SPF 50 is a good sunscreen for people with dry skin that hate sunscreens and how either very drying they can be, or how some sunscreens can leave your face looking super greasy. This moisturizer does a great job hydrating skin and protecting it from UVA and UVB rays. Since this is a chemical sunscreen this does not have any white cast but it does have a strong "sunscreen scent" that dissipates throughout the day. I do like that this has much more antioxidants and beneficial ingredients than the average sunscreen does. This is also fragrance free which is a bonus. I would say if you have oily or normal skin this is probably going to be too emollient for you, but those with dry skin will probably have better results. My video review can be seen here:

I've suffered acne for years and this is just.... saviour. the first time i used this, my face looked like the moon with a lot of cystic acne. i tried a lot of products but it was really hard, my face just keep getting angrier at me. this one really changed everything. after i used this every night, my acne started to disappear. this is probably the only product which is I'm really loyal of: i used this for 6 months and not even on half bottle yet.after 6 months, people keep saying my face has been cleared, and if i can give all the credits to one product i used: this is it. it makes my face looks wayyyy better. clear, radiant, and the most important thing: less acne. i only get hormonal ones sometimes, but no more cystic. most of my scars also got healed. i really can't tell how glad i am because i tried this one. don't use it too often though, my face got over exfoliated once because i used it too much. just use it every night or once in 2 days. the price isn't cheap so i recommend to try the trial one since this product probably isn't for everyone. i'll definitely keep repurchasing this, seeing at how much this changed me and how long it lasts, the price is really worth it.

In the early days of having severe acne, at wit's end because my face was always in pain due to acne of every sort - pimples, cystic acne, blackheads, white heads - this was a game changer. Salicylic acid was essential to improving my skin and reducing the severity of my acne. While I still had acne, this product was influential in reducing it a great amount. I've been using this product for almost over four years. (Acne for over 7 years.) Initially I used this product day and night but because there was a short time in college that I did not use sunblock, I decided to only use it at night after several months. (However, there are papers that cite BHA affecting skin during the day even with night usage, so I highly recommend using sunblock to be safe!) As my acne improved, I continued to use this product daily at night. Now, four years into using this product, with my acne skin better than ever, I only use this product a few times a week at night. Although I don't use it as much now, I'll definitely be buying another bottle.A plus is that it lasts you a long time! I bought two bottles at one time and it honestly took forever to finish. Just be sure to keep in mind the expiration (efficiency) date. Would I recommend this to anyone looking for something to help with acne? Yes! However, if you have sensitive or dry skin, I recommend trying AHA instead. If BHA doesn't work for you, try AHA. And if AHA doesn't work for you, consider PHA. Need exfoliation? The turnover rate for my skin is so quick that this product helped me realize I needed gentle exfoliation that I could use more often than physical exfoliation scrubs (which are much to rough on my skin and was grating on my acne!)I have also use Paula's Choice Clear Regular Strength Anti-redness Exfoliating Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid ($27) as well but personally found no difference between this product and the other. Take a look at the ingredients if you will to be sure there aren't any sensitizing ingredients for yourself, but I found no difference. Thus, I'm sticking with this 2% BHA liquid ($29).Other BHA/AHA products I'd recommend looking into, though I personally haven't tried myself but have on my list are:- The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% solution ($5)- Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid ($15)- Cosrx AHA Whitehead Power Liquid ($15)- Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner ($14)- Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner ($18)These are all skincare brands that have worked for me and that I trust with my skin.I hope you find a product that works for you!

OMG. THIS PRODUCT NEEDS TO BE SENT BACK TO HELL WHERE IT CAME FROM. Though I suffer from cystic acne, my skin has more or less been under control by a combo or tret 0.025, Aczone, Doxy 100mg, and Borage oil/Black Current Oil (I CANNOT PRAISE ENOUGH about the amazing effects of both, though Black Currant and Evening primrose are a better combo because some Borage oil can naturally contain awful liver toxins called PA, look it up). I can honestly say that I hadn't gotten a big awful cyst in 2 plus months, and that's a win. within 3 days of trying this, my chin is currently covered in seven angry swollen, raised, unpopable, cysts, and because each cysts is so big, my entire chin is basically covered. there are also 2 on my cheeks. I am cutting this out and pray that my face would calm down. :( this is the worst ever.... I wish I had listen to others' warnings.

Beautypedia is a great resource for information. Having said that it is always best to look at multiple sources. There are many ingredients that experts can't agree on, or studies show different results. This means that you have to reasarch both sides & make your own decision. Personally I hate that & wish it was easier but what can you do. Even though I don't agree with every review on beautypedia I am happy to have it as one source of information. Also keep in mind that Paula no longer does reviews for beautipedia. Suposedly the reviews are still using the same criteria established by Paula.

I give this site 5 stars because The Beauty Brains (actual cosmetic chemists for the leading cosmetic company in the United States) agrees with a lot of the stuff that Paula Begoun says, sites a lot of the same studies, explains a lot of the same studies, etc. Cosdna.net is not accurate, is operated by Chinese based cosmetic companies and also allows for users to upload any information they want. Because Cosdna has no way to verify that the ingredients in the product are accurate, a lot of the information is not usable or verifiable. Beautypedia, The Beauty Brains website and podcast, Chemist Corner and Futurederm - The Science of Beauty are probably the best resources to go to. And remember, just because you don't have a reaction to a product doesn't mean its not bad. Like Paula says, you don't see sun damage until later in life and the same goes for a bad product. I don't rely on anything doctors or dermatologists say (about beauty products) because like The Beauty Brains tells us, doctors are not Cosmetic Chemists. They're not trained to know how cosmetics and skin interact. They treat skin DISORDERS, burns, psoriasis, etc. It's completely different.

I keep finding myself coming back to this moisturiser. It's soothing, even for my sensitive skin, blends in naturally and has a great SPF.My only complaint is that it really is light, and I usually need to apply a moisturiser underneath.

When I got into my 40's, I started to notice a flush - like color covering my cheeks. I've used PC before, and I keep coming back to it. This serum is light - perfect for my "ridiculously oily skin that looks like it will stay that way to my death." The serum took away the redness in minutes, and my foundation went on much smoother than with a regular primer.

This is a great sunscreen for my oily summer skin. It truly is light--not thick, easy to blend and no white cast after blending, does not feel greasy on skin.In winter, I use her slightly heavier, more moisturizing Redness Relief moisturizer for oily skin, which is great too.
