This will be a short review because I feel bad writing it but it’s the truth. I used the Phyto Phytolium 4 to help with my naturally thinning hair. I used an entire box and then repurchased and almost finished the second box. I stopped because I noticed my hair was falling out and had become significantly thinner. This product was the only change I made in my hair care. Also I had no other life events or issues that would have caused such drastic hair loss. This happened to me about 6 months ago and I’m still working to improve my hair with micro needling. Obviously there is no proof this product caused my thinning but it was the only change I made to my hair in over 2 years. I wish I had just been content with my hair before I used this product because I would have a lot more then I do now :-(

I have just finished using the third box of Phyto. Although it is pricey, it works. Used it twice a week on damp hair. It's got a herby-woody smell, but not too bad.

The stuff is easy to apply because of the screw top applicator. In fact I found that my hair fall decreased after the third application, which is pretty amazing.

I could tell that hair fall had decreased significantly because there was much less hair in the shower drain and on the end of the hoover brush. Well worth trying despite the price.

Hair Treatments -Phyto -Phytophanere Food Supplement for Hair and Nails

I read these are excellent for hair loss & strengthening hair as well as nails. Absolutely had to try it out! Well...as much as I was looking forward to seeing some benefits from these after reading all the positive reviews, I started developing cystic acne and had to stop within a week. Not seen acne that bad in many years. I didn't understand at first what I had changed, whether something in my diet or stress or a skincare product. I had a hunch it could have been this as it was the only thing different during that time. I realized that just after I took the 2 tablet dose for the day and then stashed the bottle away so that I don't take any more out of habit. In the next couple of days my skin cleared up to its normal state which can't just be a coincidence. A shame as I love the brands products in general, especially their 'Phytopolleine scalp treatment' which I use regularly and swear by.

As these are quite pricey (I got mine for $60 from Ulta) I gave them to my mum who didn't have any adverse reaction nor anything positive to say about them. Could be that she needed to take them for longer to see something? In any case she didn't purchase anymore once the bottle ran out so I guess we'll never know...

Hair Color -Phyto -phytocolor

EDIT:
It has been a month since dying my hair. The color is still going on strong! I love it. The warm neutral sheen is still present from my roots all down to the ends.
Recommend the dye!

OLD REVIEW:
It’s a shame there aren’t many reviews for this color. I am on my day 8 since coloring my hair.

I bought the shade 7; my natural hair is between 6 and 7 (dark blond/light brown). I colored my hair for 2 years now every 1-3 months using the L’Oreal 7.1 Excellence.
Prior I was doing every three months highlights for two years at hairdressers. After those two years I noticed my hair got dried out and overly blond at the ends; starting from my shin to the middle of my back. It looked although like an ombré really unkept.
I decided to use Phyto since I couldn’t find a semi-perm at my local drugstore departments and didn’t want to cash out too much money every few months at the hairdressers.
I have long hair, middle of my back. I’m 28 years. No greys yet.

What I didn’t like about the Excellence line:
Whilst I loved the color and the conditener that comes with it it felt like it was heavily drying for my hair. It didn’t last long (~2 months; then my lower part of hair started getting the ombré look).
Even worse results I received with 7.1 Preference which lasted for just a month when it got back to square one.

What I like about Phyto:
It’s not that I was into the all natural thing I thought it may be more conditioning for the hair, even if I had to recolor it every 1-2 months. Sadly the price is 2x of Excelence.
The color ended up being the color I wanted. Although it doesn’t have that pear finish I usually was into (.1) the natural undertone didn’t pick up my red pigment that is present in my natural hair.
After keeping it for a little bit longer on my hair, my hair didn’t feel like straw.
The bottle is ok but I had to cut it since there is 20 ml less that in L’Oreal dyes. I bought one packaging as per usual.
The conditioner is not worth mentioning as it comes in sample size so I used my L’Oreal conditioner which I had still left from my previous dying. I used the conditioner as a mask for 30 mins.
I washed it only once with Plant 21 since coloring. I have itchy scalp with thinning hair. It didn’t wash our the color which seems to be the problem with this shampoo.

For now I would recommend the dye since it was pleasant to use (no teary eyes, semi-silky outcome, desired look and color).
I added the photo of my hair - sorry for the picture not being perfect. This is the color / photo taken next morning after the application. One picture is how my colored hair used to look, how it looked after the application and wash, and how it looked dry.

I used to like Casting but they do not offer the shade which may be internationally sold: cold dark blond.

Styling Products -Phyto -Phytokeratine Extreme Exceptional Cream

I must be in the minority because this did nothing more than Elvive Cica cream on my overprocessed hair. It probably achieved this effect through more natural ingredients but ultimately I did not experience stronger, better hair although I used more than one bottle. It made my hair very soft, yes. However, it caused flyways and I found my hair always a bit matte after using it. I love the smell, the sturdy glass bottle and the concept but I expect better effects on my overprocessed hair at this price point.

My hair likes silicones but I prefer using them with leave-in products. I bought this mask both because it is not loaded with silicones (it had polyquat- 10 though) and it claims to restore hair with phyto keratines. It was amazing at first (my hair had good volume, hold and shine) but then I stopped noticing the effects. It may be very good on hair that is healthier than mine and needs less protein. However, for overprocessed hair like mine that is in need of lots of protein, this mask does not surprass my HG protein (Redken CAT), which ends up more affordable than this.

Shampoo -Phyto -Phytokeratine Reparative Shampoo

on 10/28/2018 12:37:00 PM

foto

A good no-sulfate, no silicone shampoo (it has polyquat- 10 though) that eliminates the need for conditioner for my overprocessed, britte hair. It is on the thicker side. It may feel a bit sticky on thinner or healthier hair (it was on my cousin's hair), but I never felt any residue on my hair after it was dry. Although it did soften my hairshaft without making my hair flat, it necessitated use of other things on my very dry ends. The smell is light and natural, like wheat or oats.

It's not HG for me because:

1. Phyto says we need to use this shampoo twice, probably first time for cleaning and second time for hair care. I don't want to do it because my hair is dyed red and double shampooing like this affects my hair colour.

2. The shampoo is a bit wasteful because of the procedure above and the hard bottle, which makes it hard to control the amount.

3. Despite how much I like it, I haven't noticed better hair and I have used more than one bottle. It is pleasant but nothing super special or HG. I may buy it again though.

Everything about this product, from the bottle to the scent to the texture, is pure luxe.
The oil in cream formula gives it a truly elegant feel, and allows it to penetrate in to your hair more quickly and completely. There’s virtually no residue, and your hair is instantly made silky and shiny.
I couldn’t continue to bleach my fine, straight hair without it.

Hair Treatments -Phyto -Phyto 9

This product has a long list of promises: Moisturizes nourishes and smoothes / Prevents split ends / Tames frizz and static / Provides ultimate softness, suppleness and shine without weighing hair down.
It is designed for medium to coarse hair. My hair: fine, wavy (2A), frizzy, medium brown with blond highlights.
Not having medium or coarse hair didn't stop me from purchasing this product since Matrix Biolage conditioning balm that is made for the same hair type is my favorite hair product ever.
Phyto 9 isn't going to be my holy grail.
It gives my hair ultimate shine, it smoothes, tames static (but not the frizz). It doesn't weight my hair down no matter how much product do I use. I also don't feel it's residue on my hands.
My hair definitely looks healthier when I use it, but it also feels stiff.
I can't use it on dry hair because it makes my hair very stiff + on dry hair, the herbal smell of this product that I personally don't like at all lingers for hours. I can use the only couple of drops of Phyto 9 on a wet hair, anything more makes my hair stiff. What ultimate softness are they talking about?
I'm also not a fan of the packaging. It is an aluminum tube that gives way too much product when I'm not very carefully pressing on it. If traveling by airplane the product leaks.
After using it for about a month I noticed that ends got drier. The shine is definitely there, but there are no long-term benefits.

Hair Treatments -Phyto -Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment (Universal Elixir Scalp Stimulant)

foto

I may be in the minority here but I LOVE this product! Although I didn't notice any results on hair loss I do find it incredibly stimulating and at the same time soothing to my scalp - and it feels a lot healthier too afterwards. I actually adore the aroma, yes it's volatile, very green and citrusy and although highly concentrated it doesn't bother me in the least as I like essential oils in general and this is like a combination of all my favorite ones!

I use this about 30 minutes before washing my hair. I do find the glass bottle a bit difficult as you cannot squeeze the product out, you have to shake it over your head to dispense anything and just hope to god it's not half the contents!

I tend to use this at least once per month and this is one of those rare products that I actually start to miss if I don't apply it every so often. The aroma, the soothing and tingling sensations combined feel amazing on my scalp, especially after a hot, muggy day when your head needs clearing. The powerful nature of essential oils means this may not be suited to those with very sensitive or irritated scalps, but other than that and the fact that some may not like the aroma, it is definitely worth a try. If unsure, it's perhaps worth trying out the sample size that sometimes becomes available.

Hair Treatments -Phyto -Phytocyane revitalizing serum ampoules

Hair loss....that dreaded moment we all face at some point when our hair brush seems to be carrying off most of our hair with it. I purchased a box of this at Sephora as an SA recommended to try this (having run out of my usual hair loss treatment). What I liked about Phytocyane is that it wasn't greasy in any way, however it was slightly harsh on my scalp, probably due to the high alcohol content which made my scalp itch slightly. I applied this 3 times every week to my hair after washing and towel drying. I think this step is very important as it clears the scalp of sebum and debris, allowing the product to work better. I think some of the negative reviews could be due to scalp build-up not letting the product penetrate properly. But I'm just guessing to be fair. Not every product works for every person who uses it.

During the time that I used it, I did notice a slight difference in the amount of visible hair shedding, however at the expense of a slightly irritated scalp. I understand the alcohols function as a carrier for the botanicals but it would be good if Phyto could find a suitable and gentler replacement. In general I love this brand and their ingredients/philosophy but this product wouldn't be a re-purchase for me unfortunately.

I am a 34 year old male. I have experienced hair thinning for a while and decided to try both the Phyto PHYTOLIUM 4 and PHYTOCYANE SERUMS.

First I used the PHYTOLIUM 4, I followed the instructions and found the packaging was easy to use. I didn't see any significant results however. I perhaps noticed less fall out but no new growth. I finished the entire box but I don't think I will repurchase.

I decided to try the PHYTOCYANE SERUM next because I thought perhaps my thinning was increased by stress. I absolutely hated the packaging. The little ampules were difficult to. break open and the tip attachment did not stay on tight causing the product to leak everywhere. I also did not see any improvements to my hair. I finished the entire box, I will not repurchase.

Shampoo -Phyto -Phytodensia Plumping Shampoo

on 5/10/2018 2:26:00 AM

The smell. THE SMELL! The smell is SO overwhelming..! Prepare for a rant please--my apologies in advance. I am a lover of all things Phyto, and this shampoo is a huge disappointment. I'm not sensitive to smell, so that's not it. I looked up some reviews on Amazon first, and many mentioned the "light" fragrance of this shampoo. On the contrary, this shampoo is more heavily scented than ANY other personal care product I have ever used. It's like washing your hair with actual perfume that happens to also foam up with water. In fact, it was so intense it gave me a sharp headache, and made it hard to sleep that night (I shower in the morning) because the smell of my own hair was so strong. The scent never fades, not all day, not at all, and here is the kicker: I washed it out the next day with a different shampoo, TWICE, and a conditioner...AND THE SCENT OF THIS SHAMPOO IS STILL IN MY HAIR. :0 What in the hell?! It's like that Seinfeld episode where Elaine picks up a bad odor in her hair from Jerry's car and nothing she does can wash the smell out. This fragrance WILL NOT die...like this fragrance ain't leaving you for love or for money...and it's not a pleasant, natural fragrance. It's like one of those strong synthetic-y perfumes from the 80's--like Giorgio or Red Door, etc. Furthermore, whatever is in the formula (I'm guessing it's the freakish amount of fragrance) caused my neck to feel coated and kind of like I had a sunburn. After showering the skin on my hands and arms was abnormally dry...it even made my cuticles dry out completely the way dishwashing liquid can. And strangest of all (and I had read an Amazon review that said the same thing, and just assumed they were crazy), it made my scalp "sore". Like not allergic sore, but a strange ache, like how a sore muscle feels. But...my scalp. So yeah, a headache, burning neck, and sore scalp--which I didn't know could even be a thing. In the meantime, my roots didn't get very clean after 2 full washes, and my hair looked...not great. No special shine or volume or any of that Phyto magic I've come to love over the years. Just kind of fuzzy and crunchy. Probably because I basically washed my hair with A BOTTLE OF FOAMING PERFUME. Phyto, I love you, I love your products, but this one really needs a revamp. :( If you can use this shampoo without being driven to insanity by the scent, God bless because you are a gifted and special individual. PS-This shampoo also gave me a lot of fall-out in the shower, probably because: Perfume.

Hair Treatments -Phyto -Huile Soyeuse - Lightweight Hydrating Oil

This is a really nice leave-in product that would work great for fine or easily weighed down hair. It's called a lightweight oil but the texture feels more like a light gel-cream moisturizer that you might use on your face. I have fine, 2B frizzy waves and I've been using this over the past few months. I love that it gives me moisture without weighing my waves down. It also layers well with other styling products. I typically apply it too damp hair (before my usual styling products) but I have also applied it dry hair to tame frizz. It works well both ways. I also like that this is free of heavy silicones. My one complaint is that this contains sunflower seed oil, which can be drying for some hair types. My hair can't handle pure sunflower seed oil but it does alright with it in this base. However if Phyto decided to take it out and swap it with a different oil, I wouldn't complain :) otherwise, I think it's a great product. It's pricey at $40, but my bottle has lasted a long time.
