Moisturizers -L'Oreal Paris -Revitalift Cica Anti-Aging Cream

on 9/26/2018 3:49:00 AM

This is an excellent and elegant moisturizer that is supposed to enhance the skin's barrier function when it is weakened by weather/cosmetic procedures etc.

It contains a blend of mainly light emollients and a few heavier ones, barrier enhancing emulsifiers along some additives to provide an elegant finish.
It does contain some excellent actives too (Madecassoside, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Centella Asiatica Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Salicyloyl Phytosphingosine).

It feels a bit heavy and rich at application, but absorbs quickly and provides a flattering non-greasy hydrating and finish.

It is actually the same product as the new Lancome Renergie Multi Cica Cream. The only difference, beside the price, is that the one from L'Oreal contains fragrance and Retinyl Palmitate (and the preservative system is slightly different).

It is an excellent choice for 1/3 of the price of the one from Lancome.

The only drawback I have this formula is that it might be too heavy for oilier skin and might clog pores.

PS: The US formula is different from the EU version. This review is for the EU version with the corresponding ingredients list (albeit the actives are the same in both formulas).

Bronzers -L'Oreal Paris -Paris True Match Lumi Bronze It Bronzing Powder

on 9/26/2018 1:43:00 AM

this + butter bronzer + bare minerals invisible bronze are probably the only 3 bronzers i will ever buy now. these three are so beautiful and so user friendly. this one is more pigmented than the other 2 mentioned but im practicing. this like the bare minerals one has a bit of sheen to it and i love that. i much prefer products with some shimmer/has a sheen to it over matte products. ive had the previous version of this as well, the glam bronze, however i much prefer this one bc that one runs way too orange. this one has a neutral to cool undertone. the pan size is huge

Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

on 9/23/2018 6:23:00 AM

I normally prefer waterproof mascara as I have sensitive eyes and my lashes are pretty sparse and doesn’t hold their curls if I use normal mascara. I bought this after trying out the waterproof version and I am surprised that this did the job just as well. A little dry but I guess that’s a positive as the product doesn’t weigh my lashes down. The brush is a little big which causes the mascara to go on my lower lid as I apply it but this gets rectified by having it covered with either eyeliner or dark eyeshadow so it’s not a big deal. It does flake a little but more importantly my eyes actually get through without watering as long as I stick to a minimum two coats. It’s not my HG mascara but I would probably repurchase when the mascara is done. Unfortunately the mascara is marketed as Lash Paradise Extatic here in Australia and it doesn’t have the gold L’Oreal ring at the opening.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal Paris -Colour Riche Eyeshadow Mono

on 9/22/2018 5:49:00 PM

Colours are beauriful and the matte is a soft matte however the shadow is not very pigmented. I payed about 9.00 Canadian for a single shadow should have bought Revlon instead. I gave it to my 15 year old niece. One word: crappy

Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

on 9/22/2018 8:00:00 AM

It’s an ok mascara. It dried out vey quickly and there’s clumps of mascara at the opening of the tube. Mascaras don’t dry out quickly for the way I use them, but this one did. Would probably not repurchase unless it’s almost for free.

Toners -L'Oreal Paris -Hydrafresh Toner

It’s supposed to be alcohol free but it irritates my eyes and no other results from it what so ever. Disappointed.

Lips -L'Oreal Paris -Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick

on 9/21/2018 11:50:00 PM

I picked this up in the shade Box of Chocolates hoping it would look like a warm chocolate brown on my pale skin. This ended up looking like a greyish light brown on me and totally washed me out. I'm cool toned though, so maybe that's the issue.

The formula applies evenly, but it's a bit hard to remove. It also needs some time to dry down. Overall, I think the shade I tried would be better for those with tan or golden toned skin.

Treatments (Face) -L'Oreal Paris -Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal Peel Pads

on 9/21/2018 7:28:00 PM

Good for L’Oreal! They discontinued the Revitalift glycolic peel kit and I was upset about that, but they’ve somewhat redeemed themselves with this.
Knocked off a star because it’s obviously not as strong as the kit, as the directions for these peel pads say rinsing is not necessary.
Seems to make my dry, bumpy skin smoother and softer. My makeup went on more smoothly today. I’ll take the win.
L’Oreal, bring back the glycolic peel kit!

Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

on 9/20/2018 5:21:00 AM

I don't like this. I bought it because it's a tubing formula, but it doesn't look good on my lashes - it's clumpy and doesn't build well. I get spidery lashes - when the lashes look kinda kinky instead on having a smooth curve. When I try to apply a second layer, it looks better, but is still clumpy and is difficult to work with. I also don't like the shape of the wand - it's kinda like a long hourglass shape. I don't understand... who wants the tip of the want to be *wider* than the rest of the wand??? The shape of the wand sometimes pushes random lashes upwards and can make them look wonky, like lash extensions can look when they begin to grow out. Finally: this dries out really fast (under a month). If you for some reason like this mascara, I think you would enjoy the Gigi Hadid for Maybelline one better - at least that one doesn't dry out as fast.

Foundations -L'Oreal Paris -Infallible Total Cover Foundation

on 9/19/2018 10:34:00 PM

Looks good when initially applied with a damp sponge, but it settles in the nose crease unnatractively. The finish of it goes downhill as i wear it throughout the day. I have oily skin. Also if you are going to sweat any, this foundation wont hold up; it will fade on the tzone , separate and cake up everywhere else.

I wore it today topped with Collab Set the stage loose powder. I have many new breakouts. Only new things where those two.

Hair Color -L'Oreal Paris -Frost & Design Dramatic High-Precision Highlights

Very nearly idiot-proof, even on colored hair. They look salon perfect if you follow the instructions, then tone with Manic Panic Virgin Snow. HG highlights.

Liquid -L'Oreal Paris -Nude Magique Cushion Dewy Glow Foundation

on 9/19/2018 1:44:00 PM

This nude magique cushion foundation by L’Oréal was very sticky, very pale and more ££ than I normally spend on products (as I’m a discount makeup freak.)

I did buy it a slight discount from but this didn’t really soften the blow. I didn’t even get as far as using it on my face as I just know it would’ve resulted in an acne breakout, and it has less coverage than a cc cream. I’m sorry but NO!

watch me swatch it in the following video from my YouTube channel:

Just search for Ayish Zone on youtube :)

Moisturizers -L'Oreal Paris -Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Day/Night

on 9/19/2018 10:47:00 AM

This product is amazing along with it's sister product L'oreal age perfect golden balm. I use this during the day and the golden balm at night. I chemically exfoliate my skin quite often and this is the perfect product to use along with the chemical exfoliants. This product heals and soothes areas on my face that are dry/irritated. This product also is very easy to apply, the texture is that of a medium/thick cream consistency. It smooths on easily and leaves your skin hydrated, plumped, dewy and incredibly soft. There is a slight pleasant fragrance that dissipates an hour or so after application. I stock up on this product along with the Golden Balm Cream whenever I find it on sale. I highly recommend giving this product (as well along with the golden balm) a try, it works just as good, if not better than highly-expensive facial creams.
