Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane -25% shea butter ultra rich body cream

L’Occitane’s Ultra Rich Body Cream is a very hydrating body cream, with 25% Shea Butter. The Shea Butter makes it very hydrating on the skin, and gives the product a gentle scent. To me, the scent is a slightly nutty, clean scent - a fresh from the shower scent. It is a good scent to use if you use other scented products such as perfume and don’t want to clash. I find this to be very hydrating, it is great to use during winter when my skin is a bit drier. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and very soft. I like that the cream absorbs quickly, meaning it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on my skin. This is good for sensitive skin too as it is quite natural and not heavily fragrances. I really enjoy this product and would recommend it to anyone - it really is a great, basic product to have on hand. It comes in a large size tub, so it’s not the most convenient product to have if you are traveling, but it is excellent for home use.

Fragrances -L'Occitane -Cherry Blossom EDT

I am a huge fan of L’Occitane fragrances and Cherry Blossom is one of my favourites. It is a light floral scent, with a sweet hint of fruity cherry. To me, this is a very clean and delicate fragrance. It is not at all overpowering and is suitable for daily wear, and to wear in a work or office environment. It is a great summer fragrance as it doesn’t feel to heavy to wear on hot days. It has decent staying power, lasting around 4 hours on my skin and even longer when sprayed onto my clothes. It doesn’t have too much projection, it is more of a skin scent. This is a good one for people who are not looking for a loud or bold fragrance. It comes in a pretty glass bottle engraved with cherry blossom flowers which is very pretty to have out on display. This is my favourite summer perfume and I would recommend to anyone who wants a light and clean floral perfume. A+

Moisturizers -L'Occitane -Pivoine Sublime Skin Perfecting Cream

on 11/8/2017 12:06:00 AM

This Peony face cream is really good for young, combination skin. It hydrated the drier areas on my face without being too heavy or greasy on the more oily areas. It didn’t clog my pores, cause any redness/irritation or breakouts. I found that a little goes a long way, which is good as this cream is quite pricey. It comes in a jar, rather than a pump, so I always use clean hands or a spatula to prevent the cream from becoming unhygenic. I found this did help with evening out my skin tone. It helped red patches fade and my complexion did look more even when I used this cream. It also had pretty packaging - a cute pink jar - and a pretty floral scent, which for me was a bonus but may not matter to some people. Overall I really enjoyed using this product and would recommend it to those with combination skin, those who want to even their complexion and those with more youthful skin.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane -Almond - AMANDE Concentre De Lait Milk Concentrate Body Cream - Almond Line

L’occitane’s Almond Milk Concentrate is a gorgeous body cream. It has a thick, rich texture which means that a little goes a long way. It leaves your skin feeling soft, plump and hydrated. The cream absorbs very quickly, which is great for a product so thick. My skin does not feel at all greasy, oily or sticky after using this. It is very hydrating and helps get rid of dry patches on the skin. The scent is a gorgeous sweet almond scent, with a touch of vanilla which to me is reminiscent of marzipan. The scent lasts for a long time on the skin, but is gentle enough that it won’t clash with any perfume you apply afterwards. I love this lotion, it is very expensive but it is honestly worth the money. A+

Gels/Soaps -L'Occitane -Amande Cleansing and Soothing Shower Oil

I cannot be without this product. It is amazing, and absolutely my favourite shower product. The Almond Shower Oil has a gorgeous smell, almond and vanilla, and is nice and sweet without being sickly. It lasts a long time on the skin as well and will make your shower/bathroom smell nice. This product comes out of the bottle as an oil, but when rubbed into the skin in the shower, it thickens up and becomes a white, milky product. I use my hands to apply this to my body in the shower. A little goes a long way, so a bottle will last a long time - which is a huge plus seeing as it is quite pricey. It leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft, hydrated and clean. I like to follow up with the Almond Milk Concentrate lotion, as it is a lotion which pairs perfectly with this product! I cannot rave about this Almond Shower Oil enough, I highly recommend it! It will change your life!

Fragrances -L'Occitane -Terre de Lumiere

The scent of this perfume is really nice, I like warm spicy scents. Other reviews I've read call it "Lavender Honey" - I smell no lavender but honey sounds right. My biggest gripe, aside from the expense, is that the scent doesn't last at all. Within an hour I couldn't even smell it on my wrist.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane -20% Shea Butter Hand Cream

I actually like the packaging- it's unique and looks nice. I like that it's opaque and protects the ingredients. But I can't stand the smell! Too bad, because I liked the idea of shea cream in the hand lotion, mixed with other beneficial ingredients. But something about the smell reminds me of changing a baby's diaper.... something I don't really want in a lotion. Reading the reviews just now, I find it really interesting how each of us is so unique- some people love the smell and others don't like it. Wish I could give my tube to someone who had enjoyed it. I personally would not buy again.

Moisturizers -L'Occitane -Immortelle Divine Cream

This is a gorgeous moisturiser, I have combination skin and it leaves me feeling hydrated but not at all greasy. It has a lovely, creamy texture but it absorbs easily into the skin. A little goes a long way with this product, which is good as it is quite a spendy product. It has a strong scent, but to me it smells natural and herbally rather than synthetic or perfumey. While I personally enjoy the scent, it is strong enough that it may not be to everyone's tastes. I believe this is suitable for both day and night use due to its intense hydration and fast absorption. It is a luxurious product which is a lovely addition to any skincare routine. It also has excellent anti-aging properties which are essential in a skincare regime, and it is also available with spf 20 which is great for those of us who live in sunny places, like Australia. This is a must-have product in my opinion! A classic for a good reason.

I realized I hadn't written reviews for my love-affair for all L'Occitane Almond products. I use this or the oil everyday. Good moisturizing and a smell that people compliment me on. I'm crazy for it!

I can't find superlatives to tell you how much I love this stuff! It's an oil, so keep that in mind....not a dry oil. It moisturizes fantastically and smells so, so good. A friend gave it to me for Christmas over 3 years ago, and I haven't been without ever since.

I've been using this a few years and love how it moisturizes with a pleasant scent. Usually, I hate scents or they irritate my skin, but none of L'Occitane products cause me any problems. This is the thickest of the available lotions, and I use the lotion and shower gel too. Like I said, I've been using since 2014 and don't see changing at the time.

I love this stuff - love how it makes my hands feel and I really love the scent. I "discovered" this via a mini that came in a L'Occitane GWP and I was looking through all my travel and mini sizes for a hand cream to pack for a vacation. I grabbed this and immediately was smitten by how soft it make my hands (which take quite a beating) and with the appealing fragrance. I've since purchased the large sized tube of this. I'm not wild about the metal tube packaging (like "old school" toothpaste tubes) as I feel a lot of product gets left behind when the tube is almost empty but that's my only complaint.

Cleansers -L'Occitane -Shea Butter Cleansing Oil

on 9/30/2017 12:37:00 PM

I have combo skin that can be really dehydrated, tight, and uncomfortable. While not prone to breakouts, I'm constantly battling clogged pores. I wear a physical tinted sunscreen and need an oil to take it off completely. I used avocado oil for years and was very happy with it, but got a sample of this and the Immortelle version with my last L'Occitane order...enough for about 10 uses. I tried the Immortelle version first since I'm a forever user of their Divine Creme, and liked it enough, but not enough to switch from avocado. Then I used this version and was an immediate convert after just one use. The scent alone is so soft and soothing. Using it to clean my face before bedtime is so relaxing. Its a medium thickness (compared to refined avocado which is pretty thin) with a super silky feel. One pump into my palm, rub palms together, breathe in the scent, then spread over face and neck and massage in. I use a washcloth in warm water to remove it all, then a toner to make sure its all off. It always is. Before with avocado oil, a toner was necessary as it left some remnants of mu behind, but with this a toner really isn't necessary. I just enjoy using one. It leaves my dehydrated skin feeling clean but not tight and drawn and I've actually had less clogs since using this and zero breakouts. The packaging (pump bottle) is ok for dispensing, but a pain for travel. You can push down, rotate, and lock the nozzle, but its a 6.7oz so no carry on so I have to transfer to another bottle. It would be great if they made travel sized bottles. Its pretty expensive ($24) compared to avocado oil (about $5 for 6 ounces), but I think it works better for my skin and its so relaxing using it I'll continue to buy until something better comes along.

Conditioner -L'Occitane -Repairing Conditioner (Dry & Damaged Hair)

This conditioner smells like insect repellent and leaves your hair with a waxy finish. The shampoo oddly enough is pretty scent-free. I could smell this in my hair all day, and my hair just progressively got more tangled throughout the day. I can't remember ever hating a hair care product this much in my life. I've been experimenting with new lines of shampoo/conditioners, and only purchased the travel size to try this out. I would never recommend this for anyone. This smells gross, does not condition your hair, and you just want to wash this out of your hair as soon as possible.
