I was blown away by this hand cream within the first day. The summary: This hand cream is highly moisturizing and absorbs VERY QUICKLY into the skin without leaving a film or sticky residue. If you're up for a bit more reading, let me give you a bit of a background. I'm a student studying and volunteering in the health field. So throughout the day I'm constantly washing my hands in the bathroom AND killing the skin with alcohol-based hand sanitizers. I did make an effort to moisturize and salvage my hands, but basically I had to use super sticky body lotion that actually left so much grease on my fingers that my laptop keyboards looked disgusting everyday. Any hand lotion that absorbed well and didn't leave a residue, basically didn't do anything for my damaged hands.I got the Shea Butter as a gift from a friend. I figured that I could use it in combination with the sticky lotion I was stuck with and tried it. Loved it. Ditched the super greasy lotion. I ended up buying 2 more types as well. I have the Cherry Blossom (my current favourite; love the scent and it's still really moisturizing), and Delightful Rose (the scent is a bit strong for my tastes with constant use).I do have to reapply it several times throughout the day, but honestly that isn't a surprise considering what I do to my hands. I love how I can apply this, feel how soft my skin is, then not have to worry about it getting all over the place. Love it.

I love how moisturizing this is, really did wonders on my cuticles, but could not stand the strong baby powder scent. Would not repurchase due to the headache inducing scent.

I’ll get right to the point: This does nothing for my hands. I really like the packaging, and some of the scents are quite nice, but this is about as effective for me as the sample-size body lotion you get for free in a hotel bathroom. If my hands are in great shape (not chapped or dried out), then this cream is a nice, lightweight product to have in my purse. I basically carry it around because it looks cute in my bag, and it’s not a bad hand cream to put on “just because”. It dries down quickly and isn’t greasy. It smells nice and isn’t irritating to my hands. However, it just doesn’t protect my hands, prevent drying/chapping, or even moisturize my hands effectively, which is why I won’t repurchase it again. For the price point, you’re better off with the Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream, which still has the luxury packaging and feel, but IMO works better than L’occitane. I don’t think the Caudalie version is “amazing”, but at least it does more for me than look nice in my purse. I’ve also compared L’occitane to the 20% shea butter almond hand cream from The Body Shop (which is around the same price point as full-sized L’occitane), and I think it’s the best out of the 3 hand creams I mentioned here. Truthfully, the best hand creams I’ve ever used were extremely basic, boring, and cheap - Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture; Eucerin Advanced Repair Hand Cream; MedLine Remedy with Olivamine...even Aquaphor applied to damp hands and covered with a pair of socks. I just keep trying “nicer” hand creams that are more enjoyable to use in the hopes that one will actually work. The hunt continues...

Pros:Huge bar - will last you months even with daily usagePleasant, inoffensive fragranceEco-friendly packagingCons:Extremely dryingThis gave me incredibly flaky, dry, itchy skin all over my body. I now use this occasionally - like if I've been out camping all weekend and need a good scrub down/have built up enough oil on my skin to protect against this soap, or am doing an oil massage prior to showering. For a normal quick shower, however, this doesn't work for me - no amount of lotion applied afterward can counter its effects.

have been looking for a really great moisturizer forever! I've tried literally dozens of lotions, creams, serums, treatments, medicated gels...from expensive to cheap all came recommended by various people, even my dermatologist.Nothing, absolutely nothing ever worked as good as this Milk Concentrate on my body. The cream is so light and fluffy, it feels amazing going on and absorbs right before your eyes. I'm left with smooth, soft, ultra hydrated skin that lasts DAYS.Yes, the price is high but it's so worth it. Not only do I find that each application lasts so long I really only need a small amount to adequately hydrate my entire body. You can even apply extra on problem areas, I had the dreaded kp on my arms. It's a synch to treat, I just apply the Milk Concentrate, work on other parts of my body and come back to reapply. The result? No more kp!!! Seriously, in a week it was just gone after applying the cream at night and morning. My arms are the only place that needed serious hydration, every part of my body is so soft and touchable with applying the cream only *once* every three days. This stuff is amazing, I was blown away by it when I was lucky enough to get a small sample with a Sephora order. The smell is nice and light, I really love it! It reminds me of sweet milk, the scent is quite subtle and is never over powering no matter how much you put on.My only complaint? It really doesn't work well on my face, it's somehow too heavy.

I got this as a free sample at Sephora and used it before bed on my upper and lower arms two nights ago. I woke up yesterday with an angry, red, fine bumpy rash covering my arms. Today the rash is worse, spreading out into giant welts instead of the fine bumpy rash, and my arms are even swollen!! Its miserably itchy and ive had to be put on steroids because the reaction was so severe. I am fair skinned but my skin is not sensitve to lotions, body washes, etc. I’d love to know what ingredient caused my reaction because another woman who write a review here before me had the same exoerience. Proceed with caution...

Such an absolutely beautiful and effective creme. It is super hydrating, yet non clogging, but rather nourishing and light feeling... very comfortable. Radiance is improved instantly. My skin appeared more rosey and glowing... healthier looking. My sensitive and easily breakout prone skin really loved this creme, even in spring/summer weather and high humidity (lightly applied). I used this over my typical Darphin face oil and it was a perfect combination. The natural scent is so lovely and not at al overwhelming. If it were not so pricey, I would certainly purchase it and include it in my daily routine, however, I find the price really quite too high. It does include such lovely ingredients (Corsican sea algae and immortelle flower, oil, etc), so I understand the price premium. I highly recommend for someone without price constraints. Super lovely and effective.

My favorite conditioner of all time was L'Occitane Volumizing conditioner. Unfortunately, it discontinued. I loved its scent but more importantly, it did the best job at giving volume to my hair and made the waves in my hair look so much better. L'Occitane's consultant told me this 1-Minute Intensive Care would be the best for the same goal so I got one. Volumizing conditioner didn't really get my hair softer but as I said, it was excellent for giving volume. This Intensive Care conditioner gets hair softer but isn't as good at giving volume. Which sucks, I care about volume sooooooo much more than softness personally. Hard to understand why they discontinued Volumizing conditioner too. L'Occitane has other wonderful conditioners that provide softness. While Intensive Care's scent is lovely too, I liked Volumizing's scent better personally. In the end, this is a good conditioner. It helps to get rid of tangles. Only a little amount is enough so it goes a long way. It has a lovely scent that stays on. I just wish L'Occitane still had Volumizing conditioner as I found the result of that better. I generally find L'Occitane hair products great and will try their Citrus conditioner next. If I like it more, I will go with it. If not, I will repurchase this one.

I'm too health anxious about ingredients on the body products as body is obviously a much larger area than face. Thus I always go with super simple formulas like just a natural oil, mixing multiple natural oils, cocoa butter/shea butter, etc Also I avoid fragrance in all kinds of skin care products except for hair. And I avoid jar packaging as it's not hygienic enough. So I will personally not purchase this but I understand these are not dealbreakers for everyone and my review if I were to avoid my dealbreakers...The shea butter amount is very high and shea butter alone hydrates the skin well. As this cream did too. I got a bunch of samples and used them on my legs, feet, hands, and arms. These are all normal to slightly dry areas for me and the cream hydrated all of them well. In addition to shea butter it has some oils, one of which is apricot oil and it's always good to see in skin care products. The texture is on the thick side but with the body's heat it melts and absorbs quickly. I saw in another review "nutty smell," I completely agree. The scent reminded me of hazelnut scent.

I could not justify buying this again because of the price. It's too expensive for what it actually does. This is simply just a foaming cleanser and I get the same results with any foaming cleanser even drugstore ones. My skin doesn't feel "plump" or "brightened" like it claims to do, it just cleanses the face well which is good but you can get the same results from a drugstore cleanser half the price. This didn't really do anything special for me anyway.

I'm not usually picky with these kind of products but with this one being pretty expensive, I feel like this isn't THAT amazing for it's price. Yes it moisturises my skin pretty well but that's about it. It doesn't "protect" the skin like it claims and it says this is for sensitive skin types, I disagree because a few times after I've put this on I felt a burning sensation and my face turned red. For me this is not a suitable moisturiser for the mornings because it's a bit too heavy and doesn't really make my skin feel like it can breathe (although I do not get breakouts with this). I use this in the night time only. I like the scent but if you don't like the smell of baby detergent/powder then I'd pass this one.I won't be buying this again just because I find that all this does is moisturise my face and I get the same results with a drugstore face cream half the price. Nothing really special.

I'm surprised the other review says this perfume doesn't stay long, my experience isn't like that at all. I first got a tester size of this with a L'Occitane purchase. It has a sweet spicy scent. I have a very sensitive nose for me the scent was too much - that's why I don't use perfume. Even the next day I could still smell it on my wrist where I tried the day before. I gave the tester to my mom and she liked it so much we purchased a full size. She says it lasts for a full day but I can still smell it on her neck when I give a hug the next day. (Again, I might not be a good example as I have a sensitive nose. But at the least it's fair to say it lasts for minimum a day.)
Are you sure this product is discontinued?
