Lip Treatments -First Aid Beauty -Ultra Repair Lip Therapy

I use this several times a day and it's the only thing that saves me in the cold Canadian winters. I like how I can apply it all I want and it doesn't impact my lips negatively. I recommend this to all of my friends. The only thing is it really expensive... I lost mine last year and was pretty upset I needed to repurchase. If you can get it in a holiday gift set or on sale with a coupon or something I'd do that instead, and hold on tight to it!

This product is described as a priming moisturizer, and that might be the best description of it.

I'd bought it hoping for more of a primer that didn't feel heavy and all that, and this definitely feels light. It smells faintly of coconut, and looks like a foundation for a fair-skinned person when you squeeze it out of the tube. I'm more pale-skinned myself, so it blends in naturally. I'm guessing it's supposed to do that for darker-skinned people, too. Appearance-wise, right out of the tube, the product looks like a BB cream, but I don't notice any real coverage. I think it leaves the barest hint of color and makes my skin look a bit dewier. It leaves my face feeling softer, too, and a bit more primed for makeup. It sets pretty quickly, too, so my face doesn't feel sticky or anything after applying it.

I don't think this is any super amazing product, however. I'm in my mid-forties, and while I think I'm pretty lucky in that I don't have a lot of lines or anything, I do have dark circles under my eyes and the bags are a bit more prominent than what they used to be. I also have some old acne scars and dark spots from some sun damage. This, as a primer, isn't going to cover that, and I don't expect it to. It does blur the under-eye area a bit, however, and makes my skin look a bit more velvety. Concealer and foundation blend well over this.

I was hoping it would do a bit more than it does. It helps my makeup look a bit more polished, however, and it makes my undereye area look a tiny bit smoother without looking cakey, I don't think this does anything more than your standard favorite moisturizer. It's kind of an "if it's on clearance I'll buy it sort of product". (I happened to get this in exchange for 100 beauty insider points from Sephora, so I'm happy in that I got it for "free" for spending enough money, but not wild enough about it to consider dropping actual money on it.

I love this product. I'm nearing 50 and often find myself with dry parched skin. This like a cool drink of water. Once or twice a week I'll apply some of this in the evening after cleansing my skin and then wash it off before I go to bed. My skin feels wonderful and hydrated. Occasionally in the dryest of weather I'll apply some right after I get out of the shower in the morning and then wash it off when I get to the makeup part of my morning routine.

The product is very gentle I don't get any burning, stinging, itching, or redness. Just hydration. Will continue to repurchase.

I bought this last winter looking for a nice neutral cream to use in between retinol and AHA days. It is thick, but sinks in really well. I use it as a night cream and on my neck and hands. I love the texture and feel like it really replenishes my skin so it is more resilient in the cold weather. I just ordered a big new tub for this year!

I wanted to love this primer as I like and use many of the skin care products from FAB. However, it did not work well as a primer and broke me out within a few days of using it.

I purchased a mini sample of this using my point perks at Sephora.
I didn't find it be any different to many other moisturisers out there.

I don't find the fragrance in this product unpleasant, but i do prefer my moisturisers to be fragrance free. The fragrance does linger.
I cannot say exactly what it is i didn't like about this moisturiser, its just not a favourite, and i wouldn't purchase it
in the future.
I will try other products from this brand, as i have heard good things about their hydrating serum.
But for this moisturiser , i wont be re purchasing .

This is really thick and pricey. I feel Vaseline does a better job for dry skin.

I wanted to love this. I have typical dry, sensitive and fair skin. This goes on like a dream and really moisturizes nicely. That being said it caused my typically clear (aside from the occasional hormonal breakout on my chin) skin to break out all over my face with tiny little white heads. Great on my hands and elbows though!

This worked for me for awhile and it just stopped. I guess its a good cleanser thats gentle and didnt break me out but it didnt do much for me anymore. Its a good travel size cleanser for trips but its not something id want for a good deep clean. Its a good cleanser if you are looking into switching it up and its a no harm no foul one i feel that is gentle enough for all skintypes. For me it started to not feel as cleansing as before. I prefer angels on bareskins by lush a lot more since i feel thats a deeper clean but also gentle.

I had high hopes for this and I really wanted to love it. But there is some ingredient in this that made my whole face itch like it was rubbed with poison ivy. I had to take it off within minutes. Its funny because I don't consider myself someone with sensitive skin. Oh well, I'm glad I only got a sample of this before I purchased it.

I got this in the Vanilla Citron as part of a promotion/sale, but I was curious to see how FAB does scented lotion. I like citrus and I like vanilla, so I was hopeful, but it didn't sound super appealing either.

I was surprised, though. First off, the scent is faint, but still there, but it smells a bit like an orange creamsicle, but subtle. I quite enjoy it.

The lotion, however, is really nice. It feels rich when you scoop a bit out and rub it in, but it soaks in nicely. It doesn't leave my skin feeling heavy or coated (so far I mostly use it on my hands and arms) but they do feel moisturized. It lasts a decent while, too, and my hands and arms feel much softer.

I expected this to be a product I'd be "meh" about or even one that I'd give away, but I really like this. It's a bit high in price, but considering it's a product I actually look forward to using, I'd say it's a good investment for me.

Cleansers -First Aid Beauty -Face Cleanser

This is a very good cleanser for people with rosacea, dermatitis or combo/dry skin. It doesn't contain any irritating sulphates. It lathers but with a very creamy feel to it. Rinse well and your skin won't be tight/dry/red. Due to my sensitivities, I have tried thousands of cleansers and this is one of the rare few that I re-purchase. I have combo skin-very oily nose, very dry cheeks. I am mature and have rosacea as well as dermatitis and this is good for me. I follow it with the ultra repair moisturizer and it really helps. If you suffer from any of these issues or are generally sensitive you may like this cleanser a lot.

First off, I do not have the clear version of this, but the tinted one (Rosy Red). I also didn't pay the full $12 for this, but got it on sale for $9 as some clearance offer that coupled this with a small container of the Ultra Repair Cream. So for $9 I got a really nice moisturizer and a decent lip product. I'm happy with that.

For $12 alone, however, no. I have other lip balms that feel nicer -- though this is a nice product -- and for $12 I can get a couple fancier Chapsticks or a couple lipsticks at the drugstore.

What I do like about this: The texture is nice. It's not super waxy and it's not greasy, but a happy medium. It feels nice on my lips, and it's not drying. I really like the Rosy Red color because it's a bit warmer, like a muted red and not really that pink. I happen to like pink, but I prefer it to be muted by a hint of brown, so that this is warmer sheer that doesn't scream pure pink is something I really like. It's also not so sheer as to be nonexistent, but it's easy enough to apply without need for a mirror. I also like the squeeze tube. It screws shut securely and I can carry this in pocket and touch up as needed without the cap coming off and making a mess in a purse or pocket.

What I don't like: It's got a slightly medicinal scent. It's mildly minty and it's mildly suggestive of eucalyptus. It has a slightly medicinal flavor, too. It leaves a tiny bit of a tingle on my lips, which is a bit distracting for me, but it's not bad. After a few seconds I really don't notice it.

If it didn't have that slight tinge of Vicks Vap-o-Rub to it, it would be well worth $12, but I don't know if this stands out enough for me to become a makeup bag staple for me. I should note, however, that I do have more than 100 lipsticks and tinted lip balms, so most things I own rarely get used up in short order.
