With 504 reviews and an 82% repurchase rate, my following review is going against the grain, you've been warned...I had high hopes for this moisturizer after reading the reviews. But the evidence is clear on my face: my face does not like it. It burns when I put it on. And I have red splotches on both my cheeks, which I am currently trying to hide with powder. The first few days, I felt slightly itchy all day wearing this. It's been about a week now, and it's not working for me. It seems OK for my legs, but I was looking for a face moisturizer. It was $24 CAD and I'm going to return it. I look worse for the wear. Continuing the hunt for a good moisturizer...

I highly recommend this cream. Its on the pricey side for a DS baby cream. It applies like a lotion, not full of potential allergenic ingredients and will help with improving skin barrier. Why do mass skincare companies feel the need to offer it for babies only and not everyone. I would choose this over their adult stuff. It always comes down to $$$!

I tried this after trialing Bioderma's Sebium micellar and finding it way too drying in winter for my super oily but dehydrated and sensitive skin. This stuff is wonderfully hydrating w/o clogging my oily skin, which is hard to find for me because my skin clogs w/ everything. Caused no reactions, and I thought the high niacinamide content would be an issue for me but it wasn't at all. As other reviewers have noted, it does sting if it gets into your eyes, so use caution when removing eye makeup. I find that if I wet the cotton pad too heavily, it gets into the eyes and stings. If I don't slop it on, then it does not seep past my eyelashes and causes no problems in that department, so I don't have a problem using it to remove eye mu as long as I don't slosh it on. My other favorite micellar is the regular Simple, which contains SAP, which is great for acne/pigment prone skin like mine, but when I want more hydration due to winter dryness, I use this stuff. The Simple does not seem to cause as much burning to the eyes, even when used as heavily. Sometimes I use the Simple to remove eye mu, then go over around the eyes w/ this stuff for a more hydrating second swipe. My only complaint is that it costs more than the Simple, but they are both easily available in most pharmacies, unlike the Bioderma which I have to order online. I do still plan to try the Bioderma Sensibio misellar to see how it stacks up against my two current faves, Simple and Cerave.

Don't use this on your eyes -- the high amount of niacinamide and propanediol (a relatively irritating solvent) will cause burning, even though this micellar water is a pretty effective cleanser.

This is my go to cleanser for morning and second cleanse. For reference, my skin is sensitive, reactive, and easily irritated, but it's also severely dehydrated and prone to hormonal and inflammatory acne. I love this cleanser because it's gentle, soothing, and effective, but never disturbs the skin's moisture barrier. I don't use it to remove makeup or sunscreen (that's what oil cleansers are for, y'all, get on the double cleansing bandwagon if you're not here already), but it does a good job at removing surface grime and preparing the skin to receive your skincare products. It's easy to find, pH balanced, relatively inexpensive, and comes in a user friendly albeit unattractive pump bottle. I have repurchased many times and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

I think the last reviewer, Juno77 & I have similar skin types. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to give this a try, as am still desperately searching for a sunscreen that agrees with me. I am very prone to clogged pores, all of a sudden, and most products are a hit or miss. I had managed to clear most of my clogs, then within days of using this, I started feeling the texture of my skin is extremely bumpy once again....😪

I've tried a few retinol products in the past & had very bad experiences (cystic acne under thick layers of cracking yet greasy skin...awful!). I started to think my skin simply could not handle a retinol, but after a few years of eyeing this serum, I decided to try it, & I'm glad I did.
I have had very little redness compared to other products (including glycolics), as well as very manageable flaking & purging. For ppl with sensitive, thin but acneic skin, this is an awesome product. My skin tone and texture are noticeably improved, & my skin doesn't feel greasy or parched when I awake.

this is horrible. when you try to rub it in it starts to crumble and peel, its thick and heavy and yet drying, and leave a whitecast. I can't think of a single person that will like this.

I bought this cleanser on recommendation of Dermatologist dr.Dray ( you tube). I used it for three days and developed pimple like rashes around my chin and upper lip. I thought may be it’s too strong for my face so I started using it as a body wash, it broke me out on my chest and back. It’s suppose to be gentle but it’s not. I don’t recommend it for anyone with oily acne prone skin.

I have dry, breakout prone skin and this is HG status for me. I use a rx retinol (cream) that makes my skin extremely dry - prior to this, I was literally using aquaphor on my face before bed. But this leaves my face even smoother and more moisturized, minus all the grease. My skin is so soft when I wash it in the morning. Definite rebuy.

It doesn't have a mate finish sadly, but it's light and non greasy enough I don't mind. It has a lotion consistency. I would apply makeup with a sponge only above this. My foundation didn't look as smooth as usual when I buffed it in.I wore it today for the first time and at the end of the day the sides of my nose were congested/clogged up. It wasn't horrible, but I haven't had that problem for a long time by now. Also this played a number on my makeup, making it more slip and slidey, and textured than it usually is at the middle/end of the day. I blotted my face and applied powder foundation on top to touch up and that mostly camouflaged any issues.Packaging is great, though I think sunscreens should always be AT LEAST 2 oz and this is 1.7 oz for around $17 at Wallgreens. My HG is still Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Spf 30 chemical susncreen/PC for men spf 30.

Best body lotion I have ever used! This is better than Caudalie, better than Clarins or body butters from any brand. I am in my 50s and live in Canada. Our winters are cold and dry and my legs flake. This lotion keeps my skin comfortable for a couple of days with regular use. There is minimal smell, it dries reasonably quickly, it leaves a silky finish. It has ceramides so it actually has skin benefits for anti-ageing. I absolutely recommend this to anyone. I think you could use this on your face without any issues if you followed up with sunscreen. If you are on a budget, this is a great all-purpose lotion and even if price is no object, this is simply the best body lotion. And it has a pump. Yes, the packaging is not fancy or elegant, but it is functional and the product inside is superb.

I've been using this product for years to manage my acne/rosacea/combo/sensitive skin. At times, it's the only thing my skin will tolerate. Can't comment on it's effectiveness at removing makeup.
