I used to swear this was my holy grail! I thought it was the only thing that worked on my face without drying it out too much, but every time I used it I did notice a clogged pore of some sort. I insisted on using this though, since that is what my Dermatologist recommended. However, I recently switched to Dermalogica's Essential Cleanser and it is far superior to this product. I love that cleanser and my skin improved so much within just two days! I prefer Dermalogica! :) It may be more expensive, but you don't even need to use that much and it works like a champ!

I've used this one,the hydrating one, and I have also used the foaming one and I definitely prefer the foaming version. Neither dry my skin out, neither feel hydrating, neither feel like they clean my face very well and neither are good at removing makeup, so what is the point of even using them? Also the pumps clog easily which is annoying. My Philosphy Purity does it all and leaves my face, clean, soft and not stripped of moisture. Yes it's more expensive but the big bottle lasts me about a year. I don't rely on cleansers to moisturize, I want them to clean. The Cerave Hydrating doesn't leave a film like Cetaphil does and it does have better ingredients that are good for your skin, but I doubt those ingredients are on long enough to do much. I don't have dry skin, so maybe those with dry skin appreciate this more. I don't know why this is such a holy grail for many, but so is Cetaphil and I think it's the worst cleanser I ever used, EVER. I just feel neither Cerave formula cleans my skin very well.Information from the website and ingredients:Type of skin:Normal to dryAreas of concern:Dry skin, facial cleansing, itchy skin, National Eczema Association accepted, psoriasis prone skin careDeveloped with dermatologists, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, effectively cleanses and hydrates without disrupting the protective skin barrier. Love it and replace it whenever I run out. This is the PM but I use it in the AM before putting my makeup on because it plays nice under all of my foundations and tinted moisturizers and never makes me oily. It's not the only one I use but it is definitely a staple for me. It never irritates, sinks right in and makes my skin feel wonderful. I do not like the Cerave AM at all. It has SPF 30 and burns and irritates my face and also seems oilier than the PM. It sort of just sits on my face and doesn't absorb as easily as the PM. I also can use this on the under eye area and it never burns, irritates, causes milia, etc. Zero fragrance too. It has a nice pump bottle that always works well. Walgreens always has buy one get one 50% off so I usually order 2 at at time because my husband uses it also.DESCRIPTION FROM THE WEBSITE:Type of skin: Normal to dryAreas of concern: Acne prone skin care, dry skinDeveloped with dermatologists, CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion effectively moisturizes and helps to restore the protective skin barrier of the face and neck. HOLY GRAIL for sensitive skin. Disappears perfectly into my skin without fragrance or residue. I have tried many other moisturizers and always come back to this. Note -- must use the PM. The daytime version with spf is not fragrance free and will sting.

I hesitated for months before trying out this cream, because CeraVe's Renewing SA Cleanser and Skin Renewing Cream Serum were a huge no-no for me. The cleanser made my skin feel rough, and the gel oil broke me out in little tiny whiteheads around my mouth.I've been using the SA cream on my face and body for about a week and so far so good! It stings my face a little upon application, as I currently have a very painful hormonal breakout on both cheeks. The cream sinks in beautifully, though, and doesn't leave me feeling ridiculously oily like other thick skincare products do. My facial skin still feels rough, but I'm not going to give up on it just yet! The fact that the cream is hydrating is what's keeping me going. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy smoother skin soon.As for my body, I've noticed that my feet feel smoother and silkier than ever before. This is remarkable, as no other drugstore cream or lotion has done much for my rough, dry feet in the past (with the exception of AmLactin, but that lotion just doesn't sink in as nicely as this cream does). So if ever I stop using this SA cream on my face, I'll continue using it on my body for sure!

I have been using this cleanser for three months now and will continue, it's my favorite(and I've tried quite a few. Leaves my skin soft, isn't drying at all, and a little goes a long way. My skin loves the ingredients and is noticeably brighter and less oily.

A good cleanser at a very reasonable price point. One squirt in your hands, a little water, friction, and foam. I don't use heavy-duty makeup, so all of my daily wear items(tinted moisturizer, bronzer, eyeshadow, and mascara) wash right off. I find that this doesn't dry me out.The hydrating cleanser is a good value as well; but I prefer foaming cleansers. I have stopped spending $$ on cleansers that really are just washed right off. Product has to stay on to actually do something in my opinion. I choose to spend that money on anti-aging treatments now that I am getting closer to 50. What I have learned about skincare: Wash your face. Try not to pick. Wear sunscreen diligently. I wish my 18 year old self would have listened known about the last two. Alas it was the late 80s and who wore sunscreen? No one.

Ugh, this cream burned/stung my skin. Had to wash it off within 30 seconds. Returned it to Walmart and the lady at the counter said it did the same to her sensitive skin. Had much better luck with Curel Fragrance-Free for a ceramide cream/lotion and it's much less expensive. I also use Vanicream products with no problem. FYI, Cerave is now owned by Loreal.

One of the creams recommended by my Dermatologist.. I buy this in the 16 oz. jar with the pump for around 12.00. I've never used this on my face. If I use Cerave on my face I use the facial lotion PM. This is a very good body moisturizer but it takes a while to show the effects if you have very dry skin. Give it a chance to work. My legs tend to be so dry and this keeps them smooth and silky. It's best to use it right after your bath or shower while your skin is still barely damp. It is good enough on it's own, but I began to add a few drops of NOW Sweet Almond Oil and mix it in my hand then apply and it works MUCH better for me that way. No greasy feeling either. The oil seems to make the Cerave absorb into the skin better. I have no clue why, but t does. About the product: Provides 24-hour hydration and helps restore the protective skin barrier with three essential ceramides (1,3,6-II). Formulated with hyaluronic acid to help retain skin’s natural moisture. Utilizes patented MVE® controlled-release technology to help replenish ceramides and deliver long lasting moisturization. Free of fragrance and oil, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and non-irritating Ideal for normal to dry skin

This has a pretty good ingredients list and I really enjoyed using it until I figured out that this was the culprit for most of my clogged pores and breakouts. I love the lightweight gel texture, perfect for my combination skin with its greasy T-zone. I didn't find that it was hydrating enough for my dehydrated skin, however, so I always layered it on top of other products. Overall, this wasn't meant to be, we have to part ways. It was pretty nice while it lasted though.

This is my foray into micellar waters, I’ve always liked cleansing my face by getting into the sink with cleanser and water and being generous with both. But I am looking for another way to cleanse without getting water everywhere (or on me). I can get away with using a non-foaming cleanser and using a warm damp wash cloth to remove, but this doesn’t work well for eye makeup. Neither do makeup remover cloths, both methods require more rubbing around the eyes than I care for. There are quite a few micellar waters on the market, but not many that are fragrance free. I use CeraVe products, so this new offering seemed to be a good choice. My first try was a bit rough as I over saturated my cotton round and when I pressed it against my eye, the extra liquid came out and got in my eye. It stung just like soap does, so I grabbed a tissue, blotted my eye, and the stinging went away. Error corrected, it removed my eye makeup with ease. I also wiped the rest of my face to remove my bb cream. Since it leaves a wet film, I massaged a pump of CeraVe hydrating cleanser onto my face and wiped it off with a damp warm wash cloth. It left my face clean without feeling tight and thoroughly removed my makeup with no extra rubbing. I have used this method for several nights now and like how clean my face is as I’m basically doing a double cleanse, but adding the pre-cleanse with the micellar water doesn’t seem to be any more drying than the cleanser step alone. I can’t say just yet if there are any benefits to my skin from using micellar water, nor does CeraVe claim anything, other than it’s hydrating and won’t cause any damage. I’m not certain if I will repurchase this when I run out because there are a couple of other micellar waters that I would like to try.

I was looking for something more moisturising than Sebamed Clear Face gel which does not clog my pores or irritate my senstive acne prone skin which is oily with dry patches. I read so many good reviews and wanted so much to like this. This Cerave cream not only clogged my pores but also gave me 2 big pimples on my nose. So disappointed. I quickly switched back to Sebamed which calmed my skin down. Now Im back to looking for a better moisturiser. Thank goodness for my Sebamed gel though.

This is literally the best BODY moisturizer I've ever tried (I would never use this one on my face - it feels too heavy for that, and Cerave has moisturizers specifically for the face). I've tried a pretty huge amount of different moisturizers, and this tops all of those: it has truly great ingredients, and it makes my skin super soft and moisturizes very well. I actually really wanted to have a non-scented moisturizer for my body, as it is simply better for the skin - perfume breaks down collagen over time. However, many non-scented moisturizers have a particular smell, but some have it stronger than others. With this one, the smell dissipates quickly, so I'm not left with it on my clothes. I always use moisturizer after showering, but wen I switched to this one, I almost immediately felt my skin go from soft to even softer - I could feel my skin was softer when I was showering, and it wasn't just product coming off - this moisturizer had actually improved my skin :)BTW, I have this in a pump jar, so, it DOES come in packaging that you don't have to dip your fingers into :)

YESSSSS! I’m on my 2nd bottle of CeraVe PM. I love it! For less than $15 I can get ceramics, niacinqmide, and hyaluronic acid! Seriously? Yes seriously. There still might even be a coupon for $2 on the product website. It’s in a pump, which is super convienent. I use it over Philosphy Help Me every other night to my face and neck and I wake up to buttery soft skin. I’m 50 and let’s just say that’s quite a feat. The nights I don’t use Help Me I just use CeraVe PM. The moisturizer is a white gel. The pump never clogged up but I do use this product every night. I didn’t notice any smell to it either. I’ve tried all sorts of moisturzing concoctions on my very-fair-never-tans-always-burns 50 yo skin. It’s not fun choosing a cystic breakout or dealing with wrinkles/softening my skin. I’ve broken out from quite a few of the serums/overnight treatments but not this one. It’s a keeper. I’ve yet to try the AM moisturizer because it’s winter and I use other sunscreen on my face. Should the sun should ever shine (in 6 months, perhaps?) I’ll try it. And I adore the fact I can go to CVS or Walgreens for it. No special trip to the mall!

I love this stuff and have repurchased countless times! I have dry skin and use Retin A Micro 0.8% so the rest of my skin routine is focused on hydration. This wash is the least drying/irritating cleanser I have ever used (although my skin does still feel a little tight in the winter) and I notice an immediate negative difference when I try different washes. I use an oil cleanser to get off my makeup, so I cannot attest to the cleanser's makeup removing abilities, and then use this morning and night. The pump packaging is great, the size is huge, and the wash doesn't dry my skin or make me break out--will probably keep using this forever!
