From the moment Fantasy burst onto the scene in 2005 with its hilariously gaudy bottle and psychedelic packaging, it has won a permanent place on my dresser because the juice inside is just...everything right with the world. The initial burst of tangy fruit quickly gives way to a luscious velvety cloud of cupcakes, white chocolate and vanilla that makes your inner child squeal. The drydown has just enough orchid, powdery orris root, and musk to smooth out the composition, make it a proper perfume, and prevent diabetic overload. Forget about age limits and wearing “serious perfume.” Fantasy is just super-yummy and super-fun, from first sniff to drydown. I do think something happened to the formula (and strength) of this perfume from 2005 to 2018, and I prefer my older bottle just a bit more because it smells richer and two sprays last literally 24 hours on my skin However, the difference isn’t drastic and I’m happy with the newer bottle I keep in my purse as well.If you can’t wear it seriously, then wear it ironically. Just wear it. It’s Britney, b****! ;^)

I absolutely love Red Door but the new formula smells cheap. I understand the company tried to modernize it, but what they have ended up with is a harsh cheap scent. Why not leave Red Door alone? This is a fragrance with a huge following by more mature women, and not you g girls. By modernizing the fragrance, the company lost Red Door's clientele, who are more mature and do not wear the new samey cheap scents. And also but modernizing it, this scent will never be a very young woman or young girl fragrance, so they won't get the youth clientele. So what was the purpose of the company by ruining what their original clientele loved, so they lost them, but will never be a young modern fragrance, because there are many many more hip and cool fragrances that smell modern, so that crown will not reach for Red Door. What a stupid business decision. It is a shame they couldn't think this.

For those who for their own reasons despise this product it's worth explaining the history. This was developed by a physician for burn victims needing a barrier balm to seal in hydration while soothing damaged skin and protecting new forming skin. It worked for that and beyond. Also, at one time many years ago we did not have as many lovely skincare options as we do today. As much as I am sure there are more elegant options this still remains my one old school reliable option for maintaining crack free lips and cuticles. I am never far from a tube of this magical goo.I will add I bloody despise Vaseline. I hate the color, the scent and the insipid tub in which it is contained. But, I know there are people for whom it is their holy grail. Not me. No, no, no. EA 8 Hour Cream is my grail. I will use this as long as I have skin on which to apply.I wear this as an outer eye cream and during cold weather there is a layer of this on my face, hands and feet.I also love A & D ointment but rarely use because whatever body part I apply this to several of my cats cannot stop licking me! I've been using EA 8 Hour Cream since 1985. When I see a tube at HomeGoods it is purchased. I keep one in my bathroom, nightstand and car. I give it for gifts.Truly a classic product that I pray is never given the boot.

I noticed that Elizabeth Arden had released a fragrance free... well almost.... version of the brand's Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant so I thought I would give it a try. I remember my mom using this when I was little and I almost even remember the scent. The Fragrance Free Version has a very very light vanilla scent from the addition of Vanillin, the scent dissipates almost immediately. The formula is pretty basic, petroleum, lanolin, mineral oil, and salicylic acid. This does a decent job of protecting skin from weather and coats skin to keep moisture in. I've been using this on my neck which gets very dry, especially during the nighttime. I'm not really certain that this does much more than petroleum or vaseline, but I do like the squeeze tube and a few more emollients. If you have acne prone (even if you don't) I would be careful applying the Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant to your face because it has quite the potential to cause breakouts. The first notes are fresh, then it turns into a comfortable fragrance, a little bit sweeter than in the first spray. Nice fragrance that can use every day.
It's a lovely soft floral scent. Too bad I dropped and the bottle broke.

The new Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum was a product I was very excited to purchase. I really like the packaging of the ingredients since you can travel lightly with as many capsules as you need. Also the packaging protects the ingredients from exposure to light and air. That is also why I wonder that they chose to include a controversial preservative, BHT, which is only recommended to be used in small amounts, although it is high on the ingredient list. The Retinol Ceramide Capsules release a very pleasing serum which absorbs quick and leaves skin with a beautiful silky matte finish. I do wonder what the percentage of Retinol is since it is low on the ingredient list. The first time I used this it broke me out, but I haven't had any issues after the initial breakout. If you have acne prone skin I would recommend checking the full ingredient list out before purchasing it. I love that this is fragrance free and doesn't contain denatured alcohol. Not sure if in the long run this would replace my Paula's Choice 1% Retinol Treatment, but in the future when I travel I would definitely bring this with. This is a review for the Pure Finish MINERAL tinted Moisturizer....I should have known better than to purchase it, but was hoping, beyond hope, that I would like this tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately I hated it. The colors are off by at least 2 shades. I got "Fair" and it is about an NC/NW25-30, no where near my NW18 and it is orange to boot. :-( It also has a very strong smell of SPF, so even if the color was a match, I never could use this. Now IF you can get a match and you can tolerate the smell, this is very nice texture wise, much better than the chauky Laura Mercier in my opinion. Unfortunately I did not wear this for longer than a few minutes so I can not comment on wear and finish over time.

I do like this fragrance and the price of $20.00. But like someone else said on here, I remember a scent like this from childhood. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it finally came to me. White Linen by Estee Lauder

I think the bottle of this perfume is cute and if you smell it from the bottle it doesn’t smell half bad but the actual scent on me is so musky and too strong and this was gifted but unfortunately, I don’t like it and now I’m trying to use it up.

I've received the original Green tea EDT many years ago and really enjoyed that. Yuzu is what I had expected - more citrusy.I like it that it is less floral than the original Green tea. But I would appreciate more of the green-ness of green tea in this EDT.This EDT was advertised to have the top notes of Yuzu zest, sheer Bergamot, sparkling Lemon, Green tea vapors, and Lemon tree Petitgrain. Yes, it did begin that way - citrusy. The middle notes were Green tea leaves, Yuzu pulp accord, wild Thyme, Spearmint, Blackcurrant buds, Tunisian Neroli.I did detect a mixture of the middle notes. It was a well-balanced mix of the above. Finally, it ends off with the base notes of Musk, White Birch, Ambrette seed. Musk definitely came through although I would have loved the EDT better if it ended off in a greener manner. I appreciate this EDT the way it is. I had been looking for something with a mix of citrus, green tea and neroli, and this one has it all. I'm not giving this 5 lippies as the EDT is not long-lasting, and the I think the formulation could be enhanced further to give it that quality and sophisticated feel. The company have changed the formula dramatically and the packaging. I have been using for 30 years and will not buy again as it just doesn't smell the same. I wrote to the company and have not heard back. Very sad.
