To me, Red Door is a rich, deep, wonderful olfactory experience. It's what perfume expert Luca Turin calls a "handsome bludgeoner" from the '80s, and it MUST be applied with extreme restraint (1-2 sprays only, please!). The best way to describe this is "YSL Paris had a baby with Vanderbilt and Opium." It's rosy, violetty, spicy, woodsy, powdery, and clean. Unfortunately, it's often overapplied by its users and becomes a nauseating hot mess! For the love of God do not use the body lotion AND the powder AND then spray yourself from crown to coochie in this!!! I just LOOOOVEEEE this thing when applied delicately! It's gorgeously retro. Totally fits my style of nipped-waist dresses, pearls, and matte red lips.PSA: Elizabeth Arden reformulated this about 5-10 years ago and put it in a new red-tinted glass bottle shaped like a door. This reformulation is horrible, an absolute chemical-toilet bomb! Instead, go on eBay and get the bottle pictured at the top of this page. It's cheap and you'll be so glad you did :)

Wanting a long-lasting, non-dewy formula foundation for the humid summer, I purchased EA Intervene in 'Soft Toffee' at a steep discount after watching a YouTube-r who demo'd it 'Soft Cocoa'. She appears to have a red undertone and 'Soft Cocoa' seemed to match, but it appeared a bit grey on her when photographed with a flash. I figured since I am about a shade lighter than she is, have a yellow/olive undertone, and it only has an SPF of 15, I could get away with the Soft Toffee. Wow, was I wrong --- It is perfect if you want a milk chocolate + Oompa Loompa look! EA's color charts are waaay off. Oh, the perils of buying foundation online, sight unseen and w/o pretesting... The color was just so wrong, I had to use my Temptu Pro color adjuster kit to correct both the undertone and shade (they worked), but find that the formula settles into lines I did not even know I had, and I have very few. It just looks dry and unflattering on my skin. You also need to work fast to spread it because it drys quickly. I used a damp beauty blender and that made the color and texture a little better, but not good enough. You need a really good moisturizer under this foundation. I am glad I spent minimal bucks on this 'experiment' as it will soon be discarded. I will save the pump from the bottle because it is a good one. Color References:Lately, I do not often wear foundation and my last splurge was a Prescriptives Custom Blend that matched my undertone and skin color perfectly. The problem with the Prescriptives CB is it is a bit too dewy. For light wear, I still use Stila Perfect and Correct in 'Warm', but it doesn't do much to cover flaws, and Becca Multi-tasking Perfecting Powder in 'Warm Honey' (a perfect match). I was matched to Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in 'Macao', but have not yet purchased it. Wear:Maybe EA Intervene in Soft Toffee could work for you if you have oily skin, but be prepared as you may need to 'fix' the color. It seems as if it would wear well and it does not transfer, but for me, the dryness on my combo skin and poor color match are not worth the hassle of color adjusting every time. Who has an orange skin tone? Not sure how this color was approved by sales and marketing?!? Why can't these companies produce foundations that work with actual skin tones? This is especially a problem for women of color and for anyone who deviates from the standard color chart/scale companies use, as many of us still need to mix colors or simply give up on finding a near-perfect match. Why is it so difficult to find a foundation that has a finish between dewy and matte in a medium brown with a yellow/olive undertone?

This is a definite spring/summer favorite. Fresh herbal citrus, light and inoffensive. Refreshing if refrigerated.Always a repurchase. In search of similar fragrances...

This reminds me more of a more floral heavy Pink Sugar than a darker Fantasy. This will be great in fall/winter but a bit too heavy for summer use.If you like this, you should try: ~Pink Sugar~Good Chemistry Sugar Berry~

The fragrance features sweet orange, tangerine, grapefruit blossom, verbena, clove, Napolitano cake, Stargazer lily, Sambac jasmine, vanilla bean, Jacaranda wood, sandalwood and amber...or at least, that's the description given by Fragrantica. I however, get a quick, sweet blast of citrus that fades into a clean scent very much like a much fainter Jean Paul Gaultier Classique. It is very well done and appealing but...not what I was expecting.I get NO spice, NO cake, NO vanilla, NO sugar. The overall freshness makes this seems to be a spring/summer scent. If you like this, you should try:~Tocca Brigitte~JPG Classique~

This doesn't remind me of Bonbon, I think it smells like a blend of Britney Spears Private Show and maybe Atelier Vanille Insensee. The cedar that I pick up here and there almost puts this in the same category with Shawn Mendes Signature, which is a little too masculine and unwearable. Almost but not quite. It can be saved by layering with something fresher. A possible repurchase.Update: 6-5-18 I do like it even though it smells strong and stale at the same time. My husband recently admitted that he really likes this scent so I will keep it around for him.Update: 6-8-18 I think that this smells/wears better when application is dabbed rather than sprayed. I have decanted some of this into an empty mini rollerball to ensure perfect application. If you like this, you should try: ~Shawn Mendes Signature~Aquolina Gold Sugar~

I LOVE this scent! 💖 It would be HG if sillage and longevity were better. Nonetheless, I still love this scent so much I will always keep on hand and reapply often. Could be worn year round. Light but creamy, sweet yet clean. Never overpowering. I'm hoping to find a tester as I've heard they can be stronger in scent. If you like this, you should try: ~Pinrose Secret Genius~Lavanila Vanilla Coconut~CSP Vanilla Coco~

This is hands down the best mineral powder foundation I ever tried, yet I won’t buy it again. Pros:- doesn’t oxidize. All other mineral foundations oxidize on my face 1.5 to 3 shades. This one doesn’t change the color at all.- doesn’t cake and doesn’t settle in fine lines;- nondrying;- it scented (the scent doesn’t linger) and surprisingly it doesn’t mess up my sensitive skin. The scent reminds me of the powder my grandma used to have. I love it for the sentimental reasons;- the packaging is very cool for a ‘loose’ powder, but the puff provided with it is too small, too soft, and too fluffy to use.Cons:- The coverage is barely there. Very very light even if layered in three layers using a full coverage brush;- it doesn’t give my skin a beautiful ‘no makeup look’, the look I expect from light coverage foundations. My skin is more matte and that’s all. Counting that my skin is already normal to dry it’s not something I’m looking for.Overall with it or without it, my skin is looking the same. I will use it over greasy sunscreens or on particularly hot humid days.

Perfect refreshing daytime summer fragrance ( when it’s hot/humid) or for a vacay! It smells like a spa, very cucumber-y and aquatic on me. Just like the original green yes but much more crisp and fresh. Cucumber is prominent. I got it for 14.99 at winners. 4 sprays lasts the whole day on me.

I really wanted to like this product, given the money I had to pay (it is quite expensive) and that it claims that it is non-drying, but no, this mineral powder foundation does not work on me. Why? Well, firstly, while it is correctly non-drying, it is so because of the very long list of ingredients, which probably why my skin actually got irritated and red by this product. Secondly, the coverage is sheer to medium, and not full, as claimed. To get full coverage, one needs to use a lot, lot LOT of product to get results, and although this mineral powder foundation does not cake easily on your face, by the time you get the coverage you want, you feel like you have a powder cake in your face because the huge amount needed.I really don't understand the ravings about this mineral powder foundation. Yes, the packaging is clever, but if the product it contains doesn't work - why the cheers? Won't be buying it again.

I couldn't agree more with the five star reviews.I'm 62 years old and battled acne in my younger days. This product perfects some larger pores that I was left with in the t-zone. A little goes a long way. It's light velvety nude color pairs well with my Mac Studio Fix over it.Hopefully younger women won't disregard this amazing primer because it's Elizabeth Arden. At my age , I still stay current with skin care and makeup. I've had many primers, and none compare to this.

This Elizabeth Arden mask has been discontinued many years but I did get myself a tube of this for $6 dollars in marshals! In fact I got to try the entire line up of Elizabeth Arden masks 🎭 from marshals Bc their entire skincare line was discontinued ! This mask was decent for my oily skin & was fragrance free! It has these exfoliating particles inside it ! So you first scrub & let it dry down like a clay mask! So it's a scrub mask hybrid! My skin felt very clean afterwards!

I actually stumbled upon this by accident while browsing through a Ross store one afternoon. I saw it was an Elizabeth Arden fragrance and it was a green/citrus scent so for $10 I purchased without testing. Boy am I glad I did! My bottle is almost gone, and I got online to purchase another and saw it was $25 for 1.7 ounces. Ouch. I LOVE the scent, cut green grass on a southern summer afternoon, obviously there is a bitter tea note, but crisp clean lemon is the star of the fragrance. It's not unisex, it's feminine. Maybe a tiny hint of white floral and pepper. It's not artificial, antiseptic or chemical. Not sweet at all. It's a glass of lemonade on a hot summer afternoon in a garden. Feminine citrus and clean fragrances are very hard to find. I wish this came as an eu de parfum. The glass bottle looks like the other fragrances in the Green Tea line. I'm not a fan of the cap, it looks cheap and bulky for how elegant and expensive Elizabeth Arden is. But it's simple and sporty and the cute illustrations of sliced lemons on the bottle are great. As for it's endurance, most green and citrus fragrances don't last long. Initially, it is powerful. It burns down pretty quickly, but can be smelt slightly on the clothes the day after. I take marks off for that, considering the price. I didn't know about the Green Tea line, but have already ordered the Green Tea- Mimosa spray along with another bottle of this and will try the others too.

I found this on clearance at Marshalls for $10. I don't really use Elizabeth Arden but my grandmother loved and swore by this brand and she never looked her age, right up until she passed. When I saw how cheap it was I couldn't help but try it. My skin is beginning to show the first signs of aging and at night I like a heavier moisturizer, this one fits the bill.It only takes a tiny amount or I feel like it's too heavy for my oily skin, so that's something you might want to consider. As long as I don't over apply it doesn't make me any oilier, I just wash my face as usual the next morning and continue with my routine. It makes my skin soft and smooth and if I have dry patches a little of this always fixes them right up.I only gave it 4 stars because I really dislike the smell and the fact that it comes in a jar. I use a sanitized cosmetic spatula to scoop a bit out and apply that way. Also the smell does fade away and it isn't enough to keep me from buying it.
