A mind blower. Before starting to use makeup like crazy :)... I used to look at models and wonder how they get this flawless, wax like skin... I only experienced that same look after I got the double wear. First when I wanted a foundation I got the Lancome one, but than I read all the reviews and watched reviews on YouTube. It is almost at 5 stars rating by thousands of people. I thought I must try it. I had a 20% coupon from Estee Lauder so I used it for a foundation and a concealer. From the first time I applied it I fell in love with it. It has a super full coverage. It looks flawless but not like skin. So you can tell that someone is wearing foundation. It doesn't get cakey and is very long lasting. It stays the same from morning till you take it off with makeup remover. It does NOT oxidize at all nor change its color. The only con would be getting too close to a mirror.. like 10 centimeters :) you will start seeing the foundation and some pores. I think this might go away with a good hi end primer. I don't have one in the mean time and tired it with my infallible from L'oreal. MM... also the shade was a bit orangy on me. I have warm undertone and medium skin tone so I got the Tawny as the Cashew and the one before didn't match my skin when I tested them in the beauty boutique so I got the Tawny which is also the shade I've been using in my compressed powder years and years long. I would say 10 years ago I started getting the compressed powder and would purchase a new one whenever I go through it until now it's been my absolute favorite. It is lightweight and gives a very light coverage not even medium but brightens my skin a lot making me look good :) so I thought it is safe to get the same shade in the liquid double wear... I still love it and am not complaining but I wish there are more shades for warm undertones. The package is very cute the bottle is glass with this gorgeous golden lid. I find it the best foundation for looks like cleopatra or any character as it totally changes the skin tone to the shade you pick. You don't need to build it up as one small hint of it would cover everything and tone up your skin tone. Other makeup products blend well with it. I tried the tarte amazonian clay blush with it and it blended really cool and also the tarte slenderizer blended very smoothly as my contouring stick. I used a powder highlighter by Maybelline as well and it looked so shiny and lovely. I love this stuff so much and highly recommend it. Don't waste your money trying to find a perfect foundation, this is the BEST. I hope you find my review helpful. If so, Please hit the helpful button. xoxoxoHere is a link to my YouTube video where I used this foundation as mentioned above... Thanks so much for reading....

I just watch another demo of this foundation, so I pulled it out of the box and retried it with Tarte primer. I do not like this!! this is the cakey, settles is pores and wrinkles and dries to a weird finish that looks dry, powdery and more cakey. I have tried this multiple times with numerous primers and numerous application techniques and the results are always the same. Very unflattering to mature skin. Reminds me of house paint. I had to take it off and start over, which is time consuming. This time I put it in the trash so I will not be tempted to try to make this work. 5 times is enough

I have been wearing this foundation everyday for about 6 months (minus some weekends) and I don't need any other. I have yet to find another full coverage foundation that doesn't look masky/heavy. This just works. No matter if I use a brush or beautyblender lighter coverage.Price: $42. So yeah. It's not as expensive as some "luxury brands" but still on the high end. But I think they're worth it honestly. Coverage: It's Med to Full Coverage depending on what you're trying to cover and what technique you're using. I've got some hyperpigmentation which is fading and it does a good job of covering but if it doesn't that's what concealer is for.Shades: Has a pretty impressive shade range. Color matching is where you might run into some difficulty. I've been matched horribly by a sales associate with Rich Ginger. Uh...I looked like Casper. Their machine matched me with Amber Honey 5N2 one of their neutral shades. It still has a slight reddish undertone (I'm yellow) but it was the closest I was going to get to this highly coveted foundation and it was doable. I mixed my Mufe custom drops in yellow to make it less red. Now just recently Estee Lauder released some in between shades and I am happy to report that Cinnamon 5w1.5 is dang near perfect. I mix it with my Amber honey. Hello Perfection. I don't know how to swing the cost of both but ya girl will figure something out.Wear Time: Surprisingly as advertised although most times I do wear a setting spray and tend to powder my tzone ALWAYS when I'm going out. So that does effect wear for us oily girls. I tend to get a bit drier in winter but haven't had any issues. Also doesn't transfer. Texture: Seems kind of runny when you pour it or use your finger to place over the top and dispense it that way like they recommend. A little goes along way. I usually stipple mine on for more coverage. You can buy a separate pump for the jar if that bothers you. Personally I worry how pumping air into it will effect the product. So major pros are that it does what it claims. I have yet to experience any foundation that gives me this kind of coverage without feeling heavy or looking masky. It's buildable. They are slowly but surely increasing the in between shades. Cons would be price if you're on a budget. I can't think of any dupes. This is NOT the same as Smashbox studio Fix. I don't know why people keep saying that. That foundation was horrible for me. If you fall into the very fair to the in between brown and dark shades you might have some trouble finding ONE shade that works. I would recommend getting a sample. Wear it outside. Try the machine and matching yourself. Purchase from a department store with a friendly return policy.

Best foundation for my skin. Covers all shine which is great! Don’t need a lot to cover whole face so bottle lasts a good 3/4 months (if you use foundation everyday). A tad expensive but totally worth it. Will definitely repurchase.

I worked for Lauder almost 20 years ago and before that, my grandmother had used it since the 60s, so I have a Lauder soft spot and have seen a number of products come and go, as well as reformulations. I believe this is a reformulation, perhaps the fourth or fifth iteration of this product. The website makes no mention of sirtuins, which this product used to claim to contain, and it's not quite the stiff product it used to be. It was spreadable, but with a resistance, somehow. This is a plush cream of palest lavender. It definitely has a fragrance, one of orchid flowers and tropical fruit, with the faintest whiff of grape. It should not be in here, but oh my lord, it is the best fragrance and I wish it came in a body product so I could fully douse myself in it, but do smell it before buying because it's somehow gentle yet strong and I can smell it on my pillow. It’s definitely a rich moisturizer- there's good old petroleum jelly in here along with a dozen fruit and plant extracts, all of the good gentle ones, vitamins and peptides, too (higher on the ingredient list than it is in their new Perfectionist serum!). It soaks in very well and I don’t stick to my silk pillowcase, nor do I have that excess shine I get with a lot of moisturizers. It’s very comfortable and I wake up pleasantly dewy. The main downsides to this product are the fragrance (I love it, but c'mon, we all know fragrance isn’t great for our skin), the price (it is very expensive. Lauder used to be an affordable luxury, but at this point it’s as if they want to alienate their middle class customers), and the jar packaging. Holy lord, Estēe, what I wouldn’t do for a flipcap, squeezable tube package with a delicate tip so I can control exactly how much product comes out. I love this formulation and it has so much great stuff in it, but it degrades in the air! Still, it’s a delicious treat to apply.

I’ve been using this product since December and I’ve had the worst acne of my life. My face was virtually flawless before I started using this product. It has basically ruined my face! I remember thinking what the hell could be breaking my face also bad? I have a good diet, I drink nothing but water, I exercise, the only thing that I could think of was me changing up my foundation. So I did a little digging on the Internet and found out that Estee Lauder double wear did a formula change a couple years ago and with that formula change, they now use 3 to 4 ingredients that are extremely pore clogging. my face is covered with acne scars now. I just figured out what was going on with my face yesterday, so I’m starting the journey to get my skin back to what it used to be. I was using color stay by Revlon before this high-end make up brands and my face was absolutely fine. Looks like I’ll be going back to the cheap stuff. My face and my wallet will thank me !!

The best foundation I ever tried. My skin is combination, acne prone with a few acne scars. T zone tends to get oily while other parts of my face are normal. Usually foundations look terrible after two hours on my skin. Not this one. Eldw light has a medium coverage, blends like a dream and has a nice semi matte finish. My skin looks even and healthy. It stays put for 8+ hours (15 h was maximum ans it looked decent). Shade range is a little limited. In the winter I'm nc25 in mac and wear 2.0.

I love barbie pink toned blushes, they look potentially intimidating in the pan but beautiful and subtle on the face! I love doing blush in "Igari" style (under the eyes to give a sunburn/flushed look) and this is lovely for that. At the moment it's my favorite blush, won't bother repeating what the other reviewers said.

This is my GO-TO foundation - every time I find myself trying different foundations to find something better, I come back to this one because there is nothing better. In a foundation, I like medium to full coverage, non transferable, does not go into fine lines, and swear proof. This foundation covers all the requirements! I went to Cali last year and I have a sweating problem on my nose which ruins my foundation most of the time. The sweat did initially break through from the foundation and I had dots of foundation missing but once I was indoors, the foundation just settled back into place again!!!! I been using this for so many years and will continue doing so.

I seriously wish EL would bring this back! It was the best powder I have ever laid my hands on. Light. Reflective. Easy to use / touch up. But of course they discontinued it. The two new pressed powders they released in the past 4 months are chalky, heavy, matronly. I will look for a replacement. But I hate to since I adored this. Pout!!!

I wanted to try this foundation after seeing it used on youtube, so I got a sample. After reading some reviews I decided to patch test it first on my arm, and after a few hours my skin turned red and bumpy. Really happy I read these reviews and didn't put it straight on my face!!!
I'm sure it could work for other people put my advice would be to patch test first to see if you react.

Got this as a sample. Does not break me out (I have combo to oily skin). Plumps and hydrates very well the face. Used it about 5-6 times (got multiple samples) and did not see any difference in fine lines or something like that. It is an expensive product but I've got to admit this is a good moisturizer if you want that velvety feeling in your skin, without feeling oily. I use this as a night cream and I like it because sometimes, when I use other more light weight moisturizers my skin feels thirsty after a couple of hours or two. This is not the case with this cream. The skin feels very hydrated. This product is fragranced and in case you don't like fragranced moisturizers, you would not like this product. But I like the specific fragrance. I would not buy the full size though because it's expensive for what you get.
Are you sure this product is discontinued?
