Blush -e.l.f. -Powder Blush Palette - Light

foto

Such a good product for the price. Easy to blend and build, my first Elf product and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The range of colours are nice too though the darker bottom pinks I tend to go for the most. I sometimes use the top right blush to shape and warm up my face as I’m fair. The packaging I don’t mind at all, very sleek. Love.

Brows -e.l.f. -Instant Lift Brow Pencil

Cheap and doesn’t pull red. I wear the neutral brown. Bummer is the point goes away after two uses. It’s soft. Oh well. It still works if you don’t draw super sharp brows. Stays on decently too !

Listen y'all. This thing is $2! Two dollars!! I know this ain't no Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade but it's better than having no brows on yah face. From the e.l.f. site you can get 3 for $5. Helloo what are you waiting for? This gives you the perfect natural brows. You can fill in your brows with this and if you make a mistake just wipe it away. Yeah that nice tip goes away so what.. You know you're not trying to draw no 90's brows. The only thing about this is that the clear cap tends to fall off easily and gets lost in Neverland, but the white cap stays on. The only downside is the spoolie gets dirty and you might get breakouts in your brows if you don't keep the spoolie clean. Light strokes is the key here! If you've found yourself with a harsh line just spoolie it out~ you really can't go wrong with this product.

Foundations -e.l.f. -Cosmetics Acne Fighting Foundation

My new fave! So inexpensive. Coverage is full and covers up mostly all of my redness and angry acne. If my skin is extra bad, I just conceal first and the coverage is still great! I love the consistency, it is a liquid, however it's denser, and creamy. I use it with a not so awesome foundation brush but prefer the coverage I get with that over a beauty blender. A little goes a long way! My acne is hormonal so I don't see it helping any as far as the claims go, but out of all the foundations I've spent hundreds of dollars on, this is hands down best coverage and consistency! Looks lovely when set with a powder before applying blush or bronzer. I hope that elf makes more shades for others!!

Brows -e.l.f. -Lock On Liner & Brow Cream

foto

This is an excellent brow cream, especially for the low pricepoint ($4). The shades do tend to run dark, and most stores only stock the two darkest shades "Medium Brown" and "Espresso" . I first bought "Medium Brown" and it was way too dark, so then I ordered "Light Brown" online, and it's a good match for my medium ash brown brows. A little goes a long way, and it really stays put, even through a day at the pool! ! I apply using an angled brow brush, the cream is too "stiff" for a spoolie application. One pot will last me years, assuming it does not dry out by then, but I'd repurchase!

Eye Shadow -e.l.f. -Clay Eye Shadow Palette Nearly Nudes

foto

This is my everyday eyeshadow palette. It has nice neutrals, that are great for a natural, daytime look. I usually just use 3 of the shades though...the upper left matte taupe as an all over eyelid shade, the lower right dark brown along my lashline to blend my eyeliner, and then the lower left shimmery taupe on my outer corners. This trio makes my blue eyes pop, without being too overdone for casual days. Pigmentation is middle of the road, not super pigmented, but good enough, and the formula is blendable with no fallout. Wear time is good, with no creasing. For $6, it's a good palette, and I'd repurchase!

Misc Beauty Tools -e.l.f. -Dual Sided Silicone Blender

on 6/14/2018 5:46:00 PM

First - I will be ordering another Dual Sided Silicone Blender because one is not enough.

Instructions / directions: Apply half of your usual amount of liquid product directly to silicone blender. Gently swipe product across the face, then bounce the silicone blender to even out the application. Use the flat side to buff to perfection.

Follow the directions.

I used too much product on blender or the normal amount I use daily. I did this three days in a row. Which required a "do-over", three days in a row. Seriously, follow the directions.

e.l.f. silicone blender works and does not suck up foundation like a sponge. The silicone side is a smooth applicator and the reverse flocked side leaves your makeup application perfect.

Keep in mind, I didn't use any powder on my face. I used a cream blush as highlighter.

Lip Gloss -e.l.f. -Lip Plumping Gloss

on 6/12/2018 4:49:00 PM

I have this in Sparkling Rose, and it's...fine. The tube is enormous, for some reason. But I like the clear application wand, makes it seem a little more high-end.

As far as the gloss goes, I can't see or feel any plumping going on. But what disappointed me is that there's no sparkle in this "Sparkling Rose" gloss. Just a poorly-named product? Victim of e.l.f.'s product inconsistency? Who knows. The color is a pale, milky pink. I usually sheer it out enough that the color is little more than a suggestion.

Otherwise, it works fine as a lip gloss. But it's like $6 at CVS and they have Revlon lip glosses for a couple dollars more. I would rather have had one of those.

Excellent primer—very moisturizing. My only complaint is that it runs out so quickly, even when you use it sparingly.

GREASY.

Love the blemish control primer, but this formula is too oily.

Eye Shadow -e.l.f. -e.l.f. Studio Baked Eyeshadow Palette

I love elf’s individual baked eyeshadows so I bought this thinking it would be the same formula. It’s not. Dry glitter with very little pigment is what these palettes are.

Eye Shadow -e.l.f. -Baked Eyeshadow-ALL

on 6/11/2018 10:35:00 PM

This is my favorite, reliable go-to eyeshadow when other eyeshadows let me down. I have it in “bark” (rich, medium brown). Shimmery without being chock full of glitter. Very pigmented.

**However, while the individual baked shadows are wonderful, the larger 12-shade palettes were poor quality—too much glitter/very little pigment.

I dont know what everybody is raving about. This stuff dries the hell outta your lid and looks cakey as shit. And I have OILY lids! I go for Wet n wild's Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer, cheap, does it work for oily lids.

Bronzers -e.l.f. -Bronzer Palette

on 6/10/2018 10:15:00 PM

foto

Love love looooove this bronzer palette! Okay, I only use one tone from the lighter palette which id the shimmery golden one and it’s so freaking beautiful!! I’m an NC20 and it looks truly sunkissed on my skin tone. Best part is you can not go overboard with it so it’s a very „fool proof“ product. You have to built it up which I perfer in a bronzer anyway. I would sugfest using not too doft of a brush - I use a scratchy old Mac one and it picks up enough product.
The only con I‘d say is that each shade contains only 4g. The shade that I like I have been using for about 1.5 months and half is already gone. Granted I really pack it on, but I still would appreciste a bigger pan. But the whole palette is only 6$ so no big deal, I will repurchase it!
Favourtie bronzer of all time! Marc Jacobs, Benefit, Too Faced erc. don‘t come even close! This is a true golden brown with the perfect amount of shimmer!

Primer/ Corrector -e.l.f. -Poreless Face Primer

I bought this product after watching a makeup tutorial. I have never used primer before and thought it might help adding to my routine. At first this was awesome, I loved the way it glided on and it made my makeup just beautiful. Then I started noticing my face started itching. Ok, I thought it was because of the weather or something else. Then the other day, i noticed it feeling itchy right after putting it on. I thank God, havent broken out but now my cheeks are very dry and itchy. I am going with out makeup for a few days to see if it clears up since I get married in 7 days and am terrified of my face looking like a wreck. I wont use this again, I think the tea tree oil is too much for my skin.
