We have the 2012 version without the sticker on the bottle. I think the formula is slightly different than the 94 one, I don't think it has sandalwood and cardamom for example. It's a nature lover's scent. It is so evocative of a beautiful part of nature, with fragnant vegetation. Opens with elegant citrus, not sharp or sour. Continues to a well done lavender, prominent but not reminiscent of the satchels in grandma's wardrobe. The sage is gentle and fresh, the pepper too isn't sharp at all. Usually spicy notes turn sharp, hot and pungent on me but this stays fresh. There's tobacco in the dry down that doesn't come through as tobacco, but is so well blended in the base, to the effect it makes the cedar smell like there's lichen or moss on it.No sweetness from the tonka in the base.It is aquatic, despite the herbaceous composition. It doesn't have that marine water/ all purpose cleaner aquatic smell, but it feels like the herbs are damp, as if growing near a clean lake.It is almost unisex, but not quite. Perhaps layered with something else it would be. On my husband, it smells like a herby lakeside. He finds it calming and wears it to bed often. On me it's airier, like the scent the wind carried over from the same lakeside. Medium longevity and excellent projection, I can smell it from other rooms. We both wear D&G scents well in general, so I'd recommend to D&G lovers, outdoorsy types and all who don't want a synthetic or sharp vibe in their fragrances.I'll keep repurchasing for as long as I can find it for sale.

This is the absolute go to! If you love perfume and cologne you should love light blue. It is clean and citrusy and just plain damn good. Granny Smith apple with a little wood sent. I have never met a girl who does not like this perfume. Unfortunately it does not stay on for long so you have to spray more after a couple of hours. It is probably one of the top five best perfumes in the world.

Curled my lashes, formula was just ok, a little overpriced, there are better drug store products.

I'm with the bunch who say "soapy", though for me, that's not a bad thing at all. I don't know whether I have the italian or German version, I understand that affects sillage and longevity, but anyway, mine is average. detectable from up close or if you're moving around a lot, but not like it leaves a trail and not in any way overpowering. The floral and powdery notes are not very noticeable to me until almost drydown, that's when I finally pick up on it's warmer and elegant aspect, though it's gentle and close to the skin-that's when it smells comforting, stylish, and like a "woman" to me. Otherwise, i agree with whoever said it smells like a clean bathroom, and I'm all about that clean bathroom smell lol. Surprised people recommend this for an evening out as I personally find nothing I normally associate with an evening out about it. I do agree despite the soapiness it's well on the "womanly" side, and a safe fragrance imo. I mean, worst case scenario you'll smell freshly showered so it's hard to imagine it offending anyone, at least if used moderately. It isn't glamorous or shockingly good to me, it's just...wearable and friendly in that I can't see myself feeling nauseous from it. I'm a clean and cleaning freak so I'm biased about its "just washed" character. But the more you wear it, the more it's enticing, comforting, elegant notes start to present themselves as it's main features. Truly develops like a fragrance is supposed to, albeit in a light, demure way. I also find it a fabulous fragrance to mix with other scents, especially if you want to lend an airiness to them. I find the floral note is reminiscent of lilly of the valley, or linden blossom, or violet even, and enhances other perfumes well without adding to any possible stiffling effects (perhaps even takes them down a notch). I don't necessarily see myself repurchasing (it's close to impossible to find these days anyway), but I do think I will use it occasionally because I want to have a spritz of it available for when every other smell feels cloying and sickening and I just want something clean, light and airy. I find it excellent for extreme summer heat, but am personally not averse to using crisp fragrances in winter either. I especially appreciate this scent seems to have an intimacy with the wearer, sometimes you have to sneak under your own shirt and sniff at your chest to get that reasurring scent made feminine by body heat and chemistry, so to me this isn't a fragrance you flaunt and disperse, and even if you did, on the surface, it's just a shower scent anyway. catching the other notes requires much more proximity and physical contact.

My favourite parfum. I wish D&C will relaunch it.

I think the coverage is ok, it is a little too oily for my skin, it is not worth the pricetag. Mark under overpriced.

Some say that they can smell a scent difference between the original Light Blue and Light Blue Eau Intense. Whatever difference there might be between the two fragrances is, in my opinion, negligible. To my nose they are the same scent: bright, refreshing lemon lime water over a fresh cedar base. In my opinion, if you already own a bottle of the original Light Blue then you don't need a full bottle of the Intense version. If you love the original and need to purchase a new bottle because you've run out, then go ahead and purchase a bottle of the Intense while it's available. I do think the Intense version has improved sillage and longevity. I got a solid 7 hours on my skin and could smell it on my blouse when I pulled it to wash.I think this is a safe gift and also a safe blind purchase if you like fresh citrus scents. This and the original were made for hot, humid summer weather. Just pleasant and refreshing.

Lovers of the floriental The One who like leaning toward gourmand may really enjoy this fragrance. I do. It is an out there, unashamed bomb of notes - especially in the beginning- and the golden, sweet opulance of the original is toned down with more bass tones. I think the colour of the bottle is apt. The Only One is a very direct fragrance. Notes are easily recognizable right from the beginning. I get caramel, coffee or cocoa, flowers and even a bit of spice and the clean patch right from the beginning, together with oriental, sparkly citruses. It is indeed easy to call this parade a mess but it is easy-going and likeable to my nose. I don't find it risky or daring. More like a comfortable oversized jumper, but with a statement. The Only One calms down during the heart on my skin. The dense sparkle tones down considerably and transforms into a coziness. I find the flowers sweet but airy, not totally a candy bomb. Out of the iris, violet and rose, the most noticeable is violet on my skin, paired with an airy pear. The drydown is a comfortable gourmand with caramel, coffee and patch but nothing risk taking like Mugler interpretations of these notes. The Only One is marketed as the essence of sophisticated and hypnotising femininity. I don't see it that way. It is not sophisticated in my understanding - although, by no means is it vulgar or anything. Easy to combine with casual chic stuff and maybe mulled wine in front of the fireplace. I don't believe I can and neither do I wish to "hypnotise" anyone with this. It would be more like "wrarrr, you smell so good, can I eat your arm?" If The One is a strong daytime fragrance that can easily transition into a Friday night out, The Only One is the cozy but stylish Saturday after that night. I rarely enjoy the One flankers but this is FBW for me - though I would get bored if I wore it every day.

I bought this as it had a lot of good reviews but when I sprayed it on my skin it smelled awful like cat pee! I thought perhaps I bought a bad batch so I took it back and tried again from the tester and unfortunately I got the same smell. It was very disappointing that a perfume didn’t work with my skin chemistry and one the few I can’t wear. Learnt the hard way not to blind buy just because it had good reviews - always test before you buy!

My husband absolutely hate it, both of the times I tried it. Both of the times I only applied one spritz and he thought it smells WAY too strongly. The top notes are as in the original Light Blue, but to me, the base notes seemed to be woody. Woody is good, however, my husband said he could smell me from really far away, and that it smelt horrible. I didn't understand how anyone would think a woody Light Blue could be horrible, until I got some of this on my jacket. Mind you: I only tried it in a store, and only applied about half a spritz to my wrist. So, what exactly in this is bad? Well. Apparently, you can smell it from about 10 meters (~30 feet) away - NO ONE should be able to smell you from that far away. The second thing is: the base notes might smell woody at first, but then they turn into a very cheap-smelling, manly (not even unisex) cologne smell, but there's also a feminine fragrance in the background. This creates a very WEIRD effect: there's an inner ring where it smells classic Light Blue, then a middle ring where it smells generic feminine perfume, then a huuuuuuge ring of cheap male cologne. Thus: YOU might smell something different than the people around you do when wearing this. The perfume lasts well though... the house has been stinking for 4 days at this point... And it has smelt up ALL of the jackets hanging near my jacket. UPDATE: the cologne smell was hanging around for more than a week, even though I hung the jacket outside several times and wore it outside for several hours.

Today I tried Dolce & Gabbana The Only One. I was surprised how much I like it. Firstly, I give it 10/10 for longevity. One small squirt on my arm is still going strong many hours later. I don’t think it smells anything like the original The One. Also, I’m sure I’ve smelt similar scents, so it’s not overly unique. It’s soft, but long lasting, so worth a try, in my opinion. Similar scents that come to mind are Gucci Rush and Rogue by Rihanna. Top – bergamot, violet, Heart – coffee, iris, Base – Patchouli, Vanilla.

Coconut with a beach lotion accord. A bit of dust but overall appealing on a sticky day.

I received a sample of this and was surprised to find that I like it. I haven't been a fan of the newer generation of fragrances being made, so I was pleased to find this. I like the fact that it is not an overwhelming scent and that although the name implies that it will smell of rose, in my opinion it doesn't. I wouldn't purchase it again, however, since I find it is not that special and would not become a signature scent for me, but I am happy to wear it in until I finish the bottle.

What caught my eye about this perfume was the lowkey glass bottle, reminiscent of perfume bottles in the earlier 20th century. I got this as a gift for my birthday last year and the scent of kiwi and watermelon are so sweet and energizing. It's very different than most perfumes I've tried out in the market that are muskier and "grown up".

I love this scent! It is surprisingly coconutty which gives it a beachy vibe. You can definitely smell the vanilla and almond as well. The dry down is magnificent as the coconut fades a bit and you can smell the floral notes. I was pleasantly surprised about the lasting power and sillage as well. I sprayed on my jacket in-store and could smell it a week later. If you like gourmands or sweet beachy fragrances, you should absolutely try this! This has a similar feel to GA Gioia di Sun but with much better longevity and sillage. Perfect for warm months!
