Sadly I’m allergic to this soap that is promoted as organic.

I was really excited to try this product due to the great reviews, that it's natural, multi-use, rose scented, said to clear up problematic skin, easy to find, etc. But I found it drying, and the smell isn't that great. I still get breakouts on my body as well. I typically love rose scented things, but almost every body wash I've tried smells better than this. I'm not saying this is a bad product, but it wasn't for my skin type or my taste.

I only used this to clean my beauty sponges and brushes, it works great on the sponges it takes out all the color and makes my beautyblender look like new. On brushes it takes some more effort to get liquid foundation out of the bristles and I do find it leaves the brush hairs a little dry/stiff afterwards. I like it for my sponges but for brushes I prefer a generic drugstore babyshampoo over this.

I've been using this again. Backstory- I used this over 6 months ago with some other products recommended by YouTubers skincare routines. I really wanted to clear my acne. Involved was oil cleansing with coconut oil, using this cleanser with or without a spin brush, witch hazel toner and Aloe Vera moisturizer. This worked well but I swore off it a while because while using that routine I had the worst breakout ever that lasted months. In retrospect I realize now it was all to do with PH. This cleanser is basic. Your face is acidic. This coupled with coconut oil, filled with fatty acids and it's heavy overall, caused a fungal acne breakout. Now I'm reintroducing only this cleanser because I truly believe it made my skin look amazing and cleared my acne before the breakout. Basically my skin got to its best ever point and then crashed down into its worst. Tragic. This time, I'm making sure I tone with a gentle acid after to return my skin closer to its natural PH. I do think the biggest mistake was the combination of coconut oil (which I realize now my skin dislikes) and the basic cleanser. Using it alone may be fine I just want to be careful.Pros--cheap and lasts a long time.- I love peppermint and it's a natural product.- really clears my acne and calms my skin. Makes skin feel very thoroughly cleaned. I enjoy the cool feeling.-lathers beautifully and is very easy to use.-works amazing with a spin brush but I've stopped using mine.-can also be used for basically anything else. Dishes, cleaning, hand soap etc.Cons-- a lot of people say peppermint is irritating to skin, but I've personally noticed the opposite reaction in my skin.- the pH still concerns me but the acid toning should help. I use the Pixi glow tonic I'll update if anything changes drastically.

I bought this because I read it doesnt leave a scum residue in the bath. After using the 16ounce bottle for the past year, I would agree with that claim. But, unfortunately, I missed the bars of soap. I ended up using this stuff as a hand wash at the sink, which it did a good job at, and would probably re-purchase but in a different scent- which Dr Bronner's has a lot of different "flavors", as well as unscented. It seems like a good buy, lasting a long time. Did a good job of cleaning, though a little too drying for my already dry skin. The "hemp-rose" scent was the biggest negative for this bottle. I would have preferred it more floral or feminine- it seems like Bronner was trying hard to make it unisex. just boring imho

I love, love, love Dr. Bronner Peppermint Castile Soap. This is the miracle product that does it all, and does it well. I clean with it, wash dishes, laundry, body wash, floor, you name it. I wash veggies with it. I don't know exactly how but when it says Magic Soap, it is absolutely no baloney. Love it!!!!

bronner's soaps can be pretty drying and irritating for me, unfortunately. the scent is kind of strange as well, but it's alright, at least they didn't add anything to it. i love the packaging though! lol.

A fantastic multi-tasker (shampoo, face wash, laundry, mopping - you name it!) that has a gorgeous Lavender fragrance which comes solely from Lavender oil, nothing synthetic in this one! Personally I use it as a hand wash and also for body, it's very mild and non-drying, at least on my skin, in a year-round hot climate. Leaves my skin wonderfully fragrant (I love lavender) and more importantly properly cleansed. A lot of 'natural' cleansers I find to be not that great at doing what they're supposed to, but no issues with this one. I've tried the Peppermint version too but found it too strong for me, definitely prefer this one.Selena x~ My HG list ~(As I've sampled many 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. Love this soap it’s so versatile I use it to wash my face with my Clarisonic and bathe clean floors and surfaces also my make up brushes and beauty blender I’m so happy I’ve discovered Dr Bronner it’s amazing. Such a wonderful ethical product. I’ve also used it to do my laundry I add 2 squirts of soap with bicarbonate soda and my clothes come out lovely and clean plus it’s so cost effective. Highly recommend and the different scents are lovely I especially love the Lavender and Peppermint.

I have very sensitive acne prone skin, and tend to get acne on my back and shoulders if I use a product with ingredients my skin doesnt like. I came across this while looking for a body wash that wouldn't aggravate my skin, and would clean up after other products. So far so good. I recently had a horrible breakout with deep cystic acne on my back and shoulders after using a shampoo I was sensitive to while on vacation, big mistake, and it was taking forever to go away, but bronners tea tree helped so much, and is quickly clearing it up and drying out the worst of it so its finally healing. I have used on my face as well, but dont do so regularly as it is very drying, so I only use it as face wash when my skin is very oily or I have a bad breakout that I want to clear up fast. Have also tried as shampoo but as I already have a dry scalp I wouldn't want to use it on my hair regularly. It's very concentrated, and a little goes a long way. Have read in other reviews that it doesnt lather, but I dont have this problem, seems to lather fine. Will definitely continue using as a body wash as I love the limited ingredients list that doesnt irritate my skin, and it's the first body wash I've found that actual gives me results.

I love the rose soap. I prefer it over any bodywash now. It makes my skin soft and while I'm showering, it has a lovely rose scent.

When I first went vegan this was the very first soap I tried. I love anything lavender scented, and I really like this soap. It is pretty strong (the smell) but I don't mind at all. It gets me clean without striping my already dry skin. I never broke out or had any reactions to it, even using daily. The packaging is average, the price is decent, and the fact that it is vegan + cruelty free is fantastic. I recommend!

Got this in the lavender scent. This is a very runny dark honey brown product that lathers up very well and creates a very slick surface for shaving. It doesn't dry out my skin and smells amazing. Big issue is that it's too runny and is hard to control, so difficult to control that I would not repurchase it. A pump bottle would make a huge difference in the ease of use. But with this tube packaging I would not repurchase. At this price point ($12.99 cad) I would rather buy Kiss My Face shave cream.
