Eyeliner -Physicians Formula -Eye Definer- Automatic Eye Pencil

on 7/11/2018 8:21:00 AM

Great value! I bought this product in Dark Brown about 6 months ago, wear it almost every day, and it's still going! It lasts through my 8 hour workday, rarely smears. This is by far the best drugstore liner I've ever tried. It looks quite natural against my medium-fair skin/brown eyes, and looks best with very black mascara and red lipstick. The tip is precise and it can be applied easily and quickly. Sometimes for a slight dramatic look, I use it on my eyelid near the lash line. This will be my go-to everyday natural liner for years to come.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand -Farsali 24K rose gold elixir

I bought this product simply because it was pretty & luxe looking & I thought I would look cute in my make up kit (I just realize how bad that actually sounds) I didn’t have high or unrealistic expectations as it is simply a hydrating oil. There are no ingredients in this that will give you any dramatic results aside surface hydration. It is no different to any other facial oil. It does not contain retinol Rosehip seed oil does have negligible amounts of vitamin A which is why it’s great when paired with retinol. This is not a nesassary item it’s a very standard hydrating oil that’s been put in very pretty packaging and had gold flakes added (very pretty but serve no skincare purpose.) It’s very cute but you would get the same results from the Ordinary’s Rosehip oil. I would re purchase because I like the product but I’m aware that I’m buying it simply because it’s cute & I’m happy with that. I like that it’s multi functional I love to use it on my lips. Having filler I really like to keep them hydrated I also like to mix a little with a bit of sugar & Carmex lip balm for a nice lip scrub. It’s also great for thinning out foundation or cream products (works great with ABH cream contour palette. If you are looking for a oil that has more skincare go for Sunday Riley Luna sleeping Oil or if you want something to use like Farsali and don’t want to pay for unesassary extras get the Ordinary Rosehip oil.

Very cute & luxe looking
Feels luxurious
Multi purpose

Over priced for a basic hydrating oil
Does nothing any other oil couldn’t do
Scent (depending on preference)
Some people have found it irritating
Misinformation around product

Eye Shadow -Mary Kay -Mineral Shadow Iris

on 7/11/2018 8:14:00 AM

Got a free sample of "Iris" eye shadow from a Mary Kay Lady in a local clothing store who was patrolling the store for new clients.
The shadow itself would cost $8 (not bad) but, as with all MK, you have to buy the compact separately (blech.).

Not worth buying but for free? It was fine. A mid-toned purple.

Lipstick -Rimmel -Moisture Renew Lipstick

Rimmel Moisture Renew Diva Red or Red Alert has been my choice red lipstick for several years now. I've gotten compliments on the color, many have thought I was wearing a higher-end brand. I find the color and texture to be of such quality that it completes my make-up routine, and can stand alone on those days when I only have time for lipstick! I find that the Diva color, a deep red, looks best on my pale winter skin. I tend to get a slight tan in the summer, at which time I prefer the bright Red Alert shade. I often have dry, chapped lips and the moisture in this product definitely helps to soothe. The best part is that the first coat stays for about five hours, despite eating and drinking.

Liquid -Shiseido -Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation

on 7/11/2018 6:46:00 AM

I bought this because of Katleen’s review about it. I have combo skin with some dry patches on my jawline. At first I really hate it because I use it with mattify primer which make it look cakey and horrible on my jaw. Then I started using it with moisturize primer and it looks really nice I really like it. My face look fresh all day long. The weird thing about it is color. I have yellow undertone so I bought it in Golden3 (i’m between nc25-30) but it looks a little bit pink but it’s not that bad. I will buy it in Neutral next time.

Brows -Maybelline -Total Temptation Brow Definer Pencil

I found my HG brow product, finally! I absolutely love this--it is amazing. I recently bought ABH Brow Wiz when Ulta had it half-off. I thought it was pretty good, except the spoolie end broke within two weeks. But I saw this, and had a coupon, which made it very reasonable. I haven't had my ABH Brow Wiz out once since I bought this. This gives me beautiful, defined brows so quickly. The shape of the actual product is certainly thicker than a regular, thin pencil, but it is not as thick as some that I have tried. I find it very easy to work with. Since it's teardrop shaped, you can turn it to get the thinner point for the tail of your brows. I have it in soft brown, and I think it's kind of neutral. Not warm, not ashy. It makes my brows look defined and gives them some control. I can get the more natural look I prefer, but it works to give you a more dramatic look if you wish. (I've tried, just for fun.) The spoolie is wonderful, too. It's a different shape, not long and thin. It really works well, and I think this will be sturdier and last longer. (It already has; I've been using this daily for about a month.) Sometimes I go over it lightly with L'Oreal's newer Brow Stylist for more lasting, all day hold. That has become my brow mascara of choice.

I have struggled to find a brow product that I like for so long. I've spent a lot of money and thrown a lot of products away in my search. This is it for me-perfection! I'm not going to pay more for higher end products when this is available for such a reasonable price. Plus, Maybelline often does coupons, and of course you can find sales at Walgreen's or such.

Liquid -Sisley -Phyto teint expert

I like this foundation it’s very pretty. I think it would be unsuitable for oily skin or anyone who likes a matte finish as it’s quite hydrating but still longwearing. I like to set with La Mer the powder or Laura Mercier & a spritz of Fix+ & all nighter and I find it lasts well but no better than most mid to high end foundation. It’s a very your skin but better kind of finish. It’s smoothing, doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines. I really enjoy it however for the price I did expect a little more. I would re purchase this in the winter when my skin needs a little more hydration. I am very fair with warm undertones and I use shade 0.

Moisturizers -Clinique -Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

on 7/11/2018 5:28:00 AM

The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion was one of the very first skincare products I ever used. Ii didn't know what I didn't know, but this was kind of dreadful as it would just sit on top of my skin for a long time. This was a groundbreaking product when it came out in the 60's and paved the way for more cosmetics companies. Since it's original formula they have reformulated this product but did not make enough changes for me to recommend this or even use it myself. My video review can be seen here:

Palettes -Anastasia Beverly Hills -Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette

Okay so this palette is probably the hardest item of makeup I’ve ever had to review. The shades are very pretty. I bought it mostly as I love warm browns nudes golds & red tones. The packaging is very pretty but I have seen so many Youtubers whose palette looks very dirty so I’m very very careful with mine (I can’t bear dirty looking make up) to avoid fingerprints I tend to open it & put the palette down & use another mirror so I’m not holding it while doing my eyes. I would highly recommend keeping the cardboard sleeve to protect it.
The formula is in my opinion not as nice as the urban decay eyeshadow palettes. But the colours are very lovely. I don’t like Cypress Umber very much I think it looks a little patchy & muddy on me no matter how much I blend. I do like this palette but just don’t get the hype. Yes the colours are lovely and you can achieve some lovely looks but I don’t find myself reaching for it nearly as often as my Urban decay palettes Naked 3 & Heat. The brush is okay the denser side is lovely but the blending side is a little scratchy. I really wanted to love this palette. I like it but it isn’t love. I probably would re purchase as I do like most of the shades but really dislike golden ochre & cypress umber as feel they make me look like my face is dirty.

Contour -Urban Decay -Naked Shapeshifter

I love love love this palette. I’m fair with warm undertones & bought this in light medium & it is utterly perfect. I even reach for it over my ABH cream & powder contour palettes. I love that you have cream & powder & colour corrector & Highlight and mirror in one sleek pretty little palette it’s fab. I prefer the formula it’s so pigmented & blendable I literally use every shade. The packaging of this palette it’s super sleek stylish & very travel friendly. It also cleans beautifully one thing I disliked a lot about my ABH powder palette is the coating all started to peel off & look horrendous (my fault for over cleaning it but I like to clean my make up regularly as I hate dusty palettes and my ABH powder palette just fell to bits because of me cleaning it but you should be able to clean a palette without it falling apart. UD shapeshifter also has 2 mirrors one on the cream & one on the powder side I love that they are in seperate compartments so the powder cannot contaminate the creams. The shades are beautiful and blendable & the highlight is so beautiful & is now my favorite of all my highlights. If you are looking for a contour palette this one is sublime.
