Cleansers -Clarins -Gentle Foaming Cleanser With Tamarind for Combination or Oily Skin

on 6/12/2018 10:11:00 PM

I have been this cleanser every morning in the shower for years now while in the evenings I have various cleansers which I rotate. However when I travel and need to pick just one cleanser to take with me, this is it. It leaves a nice clean feeling to my skin without drying it too much and has a pleasant smell. Love it!

Treatments (Eye) -Shiseido -Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate

on 6/12/2018 9:51:00 PM

My sister bought this and afterwards realized she is allergic to something in it so she gave the almost full bottle to me to try. While I have no negative reactions to it, I’m not too impressed. I’m trying to use up the bottle because I hate to waste it but it’s struggle not to choose this over eye creams I love. I would not purchase this.

Body Scrubs -Shea Moisture -Coconut & Hibiscus Body Scrub

on 6/12/2018 9:39:00 PM

The label on mine actually says "hand & body scrub;" I bought it specifically to use as a hand scrub. Coconut & Hibiscus Hand & Body Scrub isn't nearly oily enough to be called a *hand* scrub, in my opinion, although it would make an okay body scrub for those who don't like the bathtub death trap factor of super oily scrubs. While "coconut and hibiscus" sounds like it should smell amazing, it doesn't; just vaguely Play-Doh-like. The little bits of hibiscus petal are cute. At best, Coconut & Hibiscus Hand & Body Scrub could be made into a good hand scrub by adding sweet almond oil, plus an essential oil for fragrance, but when I pay US$10 for a scrub, I expect it to be great without any doctoring.

I'll stick to One Minute Manicure. It's salt based, super oily, and smells good. (It's also expensive, but you only need a tiny bit!)

Polishes -Essie -Fairy Tailor

Essie has finally done it! Perfect formula. Perfect brush. Perfect colour. 2 coats and it's just perfect! This will be the last nude I ever buy. It's what ballet slippers should have been. It's what OPI bubble bath should have been.

Sheer, not too sheer. Pale, but healthy.
Too soon to call it a classic?

I'm in love!

Eyeliner -Revlon -ColorStay 2-in-1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner - Fig

on 6/12/2018 9:00:00 PM

This is a great little eyeliner; I'm really pleased and surprised. I got the Fig color, which is truly lovely—some kind of purplish-brownish-black (I really can't tell). I bought this after going through 2 Physicians' Formula Eye Booster liner pens, wanting a change from something totally black and super precise like a liquid/pen formulation. This little kajal pencil fits the bill, even though it's not cheap—but it seems all drugstore makeup is getting more costly these days, whether or not the quality warrants it. This is good, though. It's smudgy but doesn't smear all over the place under my eyes during the day, which is a huge plus. The great color and the subtle/softly smoky way it goes on are just great.

Eye Shadow -NARS -Portobello Duo

on 6/12/2018 8:39:00 PM

I am nc20
Nars sheer glow ceylan

These two shades are my crease colors
Its blendable and creamy. I own these and the kalahari duo. Ive heard bad things about some of the other colors but these duos are my hgs.
The portobello duo has two i would say cooler tone transition shades. I love this duo and i use it daily. The color on the left is a soft everyday crease color that reminds me of mac soba. Its close to my skintone. The other one on the right i usually pair it with a purple smokey eye with demon lover in the outer v and some cordura to deepen/ smoke it out.

Mascara -wet n wild -megaslim SKINNY MASCARA

on 6/12/2018 8:22:00 PM

I usually use NYC Sky Rise mascara which is as close a dupe as I've found to PX's Beyond Long (dc'd). I've been unable to find the Sky Rise anywhere so I was actually looking for a mascara that had a similar size tube so I could just clean my Sky RIse brush and use it with this mascara. Figured I'd try it before swapping out the brushes and I actually kind of like the brush. Like another reviewer said, you'll need a few coats of this but the brush does seem to make my lashes look long. I may get tired of having to do multiple coats, as I don't usually have to do that with the Sky RIse....

Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand -Life Brand - Sunthera 3 Sunless and Firm Sunless Self Tanning Skin Firming Lotion

on 6/12/2018 8:08:00 PM

I am very fair skinned. Pale with freckles and very few self tanners work for me that don’t make me look orange or streaky. This spray tan works AMAZING. I never have streaks. Even my husband complimented me. It doesn’t look fake or orange. And I’m sure you can layer for a darker look. I shave my legs and scrub them dry (to exfoliate) with a towel then apply a water based lotion (any lotion with aqua listed as the first ingredient) wait for the lotion to soak in then stand in the tub and spray. Let it dry (don’t touch!) takes about 5 mins to dry.

Self Tanners -Jergens -Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer

on 6/12/2018 7:51:00 PM

This is just ok. It works as promised in that it’s a subtle tanner that builds up with daily use. I’m about an NC35-NC40; I’ve tried this in both fair to medium and medium to dark and they really don’t differ much. There are two complaints I have about this product: 1. THE SMELL- ugh, this smells worse than ANY other self tanner I’ve used (including Mystic tans, salon applied airbrush tans, and home based tanners from drugstore to high end). All tanners smell but if I have to use a product daily I at least want the smell to be less offensive than something I only need to use once a week. 2. It’s not moisturizing like a lotion at all; it can’t take the place of a body lotion so it’s another step in my routine that has to be timed so my lotion doesn’t interfere with absorption. There’s nothing about this that is better than the many other options available and I won’t repurchase.

Candles -NEST Fragrances -Sahara Spice

on 6/12/2018 7:47:00 PM

I love NEST scented candles and want to try as many of them as I can. Sahara Spice is a "gourmand" fragrance: when my husband first smelled it, he said it reminded him of spiced hot chocolate. It's both spicy and sweet, with notes of nutmeg, vanilla, coriander, ginger and cardamom on a sandalwood base. I like it but I don't love it, because it's a bit too sweet for my taste - but then, I don't have a sweet tooth and find most desserts too sweet. However, if you like Middle Eastern pastries and gourmand perfumes, you should definitely give it a try.
