Polishes -Unlisted Brand -LynBDesigns - Your Cow Plant or Mine?

on 7/7/2018 6:07:00 PM

Your Cow Plant or Mine? Is from the June 2018 PPU. The theme for that month was video games thus the name of this polish. It is described as a light green with lots of purple, silver, blue and copper flakies. For me it is more of a dusty green which I personally don’t care for with my skin tone.

The formula is excellent. It applies smoothly and evenly with no skipping, running or pooling. Despite the abundance of flakies the texture is good. It was almost opaque in one coat but I needed two for full coverage on my short nails.

This comes packaged in the standard polish bottle with the standard polish brush.

I did deduct a lippie because I got a chip the first day but after that the rest of the polish hung in there for several days. The flakies were beautiful in brighter lights or sunlight. In lower lights or indoor lighting they really did not stand out.

I paid $12 for this polish and to be honest the color was a disappointment to me, but that is a personal preference. As mentioned the formula was great. I would not repurchase this polish and it is on my purge list. It is an LE polish anyway so I doubt it will ever be available again.

Treatments (Face) -Ren -Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial

Wow! I have been wanting to try this product for a long time based on the reviews, so I got a sample from Sephora. The first night I used it I wasn’t sure I saw a difference so I applied it for a second night in a row (I know this is to be used spaced out a few times over the course of a week but I think my skin is pretty tolerant as I use Retin A a few nights per week). When I woke up this morning I was BLOWN AWAY by the appearance of my skin. Even toned, glowing, and bright. Perfect! I just purchased the product online and can’t wait to use it regularly.

Fragrances -Malin & Goetz -Dark Rum

on 7/7/2018 4:12:00 PM

again, i have to save the makeupalley community from a perfume that should have been amazing and really isn't at all...dark rum edp smells like a cross between a dark, sexy, boozy, leathery concoction and a dryer sheet - except the scent of the dryer sheet will last longer.

for about $20 you can find a bottle of the old-fashioned bay rum spray and you will enjoy it so much more.

Oh, Dr. Jart, where have you been all my life?!?

This serum/moisturizer has been a game changer for me. It took my oily, dehydrated skin to being smooth and plump. Since using the micro water, foam cleanser, milk peel and this, I've been getting so many compliments on my skin.

Yes, it's a bit sticky...you only need a small amount, and it need to be massaged into your skin well...I use it as the last step, over my tretinoin, etc...I wake up with glowy, plump skin. I leave it a bit sticky before the Dis-A-Pore BB cream, and it makes a perfect primer that keeps my makeup set all day.

My compromised skin barrier is healing...fewer breakouts, less redness...I wont ever be without this!

Mascara -Unlisted Brand -Elizabeth Mott - It's So Big Volumizing Mascara

I bought a sample from the EM site. Unimpressed. It darkens lashes and gives them slight definition, but after 3 coats, no volume to speak of. I would not recommend.

Lipstick -ColourPop -Ultra Blotted Lip

I really like this. Other than red lips, I avoid matte liquids, they are uncomfortable and too pigmented for my current tastes. This is more of a sheer long wearing lipstick. And it works well if you put some balm on top, which is the best part for me. It doesn’t clump or gather or come off. So you can put it on and have it last but still have moisturized lips. I like the shade Zuma the best, it is a good MLBB. And the price is great!

Ok....first the brand...Chanel! Omg! Luxurious richness high end youthful serum. Its like a magic potion of youth. I had a sample from my magazine and I was super impatient to try it. I am huge on being able to actually see and feel a difference in just one use. If not i lose interest and figure it is not worth my time. The results were mind blowing. I have like flushes pinkish skin that i cant stand, it made my face not only smell good and feel soft but i had a beautiful glow and the flushed redness was gone. I could not bare to put any makeup on my own beautiful face. I refuse to cover it. I know i saw the difference when all the sudden my husband said i looked really beautiful today and if i was wearing face makeup. That right there, yes! Magic potion!

Sunscreen -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 30

I have oily very acne prone skin. My skin doesnt really get white heads or black heads but it ll go straight to nodules and cysts if it doesnt like something. Sunscreen is one of things i have yet to find one that works for me consistently. This one sadly is not it. jack black sunscreen spf 45 oil free works for me. I have written a review on that as well.

This sunscreen doesn’t specify that it is oil free but when running ingredients through acne mantra ‘s ingredients checker, a handful of mildly comedogenic ingredients came up. Nothing too concerning so i decided to give it a try.
The product feels very watery and light. It goes on easily and leaves a sheen but sheen goes away after it dries. Has a lighy floral smell. However it is extremely sticky and after applying my hands are sticky. This made my skin greasy which i am guess might be due to the high alcohol content drying skin out. The sunscreen caused lots of breakouts so i stopped using it on my face. I us d it on my body but the sun protection is extremely extremely poor. I got burn on this. This really is an awful product. Skip it!

Moisturizers -The Body Shop -Aloe Soothing Day Cream

Great for sensitive skin. Light and easy to apply. Not expensive at all and does what it says on the tin. Used it for one week to try it out and haven’t turned back, I use this every day. Would maybe like it in a tube instead of a tub for hygiene reasons.
