Treatments (Face) -La Mer -The Treatment Lotion

foto

I have been a loyal La Mer customer for several years and this is one LM product that I will not repurchase. I am continually perplexed by several of the containers they use for their products. I am adding this bottle to the worst category of containers (it joins the dipping stick bottle for the concentrate that opens the very expensive product up to contamination and gives no precise way to measure it for use). I have to shake this bottle of Treatment Lotion to get any of the drops of it to dispense into my hand. What a mess and a waste of product when too much comes out.
As far as the actual lotion ... I have only had it and used it for ten days, but La Mer asked for my review at this point, so I will give it. After using it as instructed, I neither see nor feel any difference in my skin and I basically feel like I am smoothing on a lightly sticky water without benefit.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand -Royal Apothic - The Tinties Lip Butter

I was not a fan of this, even though the packaging is adorable, with a beautiful little box and heavy glass jar. I have the colour "Coral" which is indeed a coral colour. The formula is quick sticky, like an opaque lip gloss, whereas I was expecting more of a tinted balm or moisturising colour. Not for me, I'm afraid.

Dry Shampoo -Not Your Mother's -Plump for Joy Body Building Dry Shampoo

I usually use Plump for Joy in combination with NYM Clean Freak to give a little extra volume on my non-wash days, especially when I wear my hair wavy. It doesn't add a ton of volume, but it is very lightweight, so it doesn't reduce the volume that's already there. I like this a lot to give my hair a little bit of grab or texture to hold onto the style, if that makes sense. I use it more in the lengths of my hair with Clean Freak nearer the scalp to help hold or revive the wave that I lose while sleeping. The scent is nice and fresh, but it doesn't last very long, which to me is a plus. I probably couldn't get away with using this as my only dry shampoo as I don't find that it controls oil as well as the Clean Freak, but it is a solid product that I will repurchase when I finish off the can that I have.

Dry Shampoo -Not Your Mother's -Clean Freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo

NYM makes the only dry shampoos that I've purchased repeatedly that did not overdry my scalp or make my hair fall out excessively. I have fine hair and a normal-to-dry scalp, so even though I wash every other day I have to be careful with dry shampoo due to my super-awful experience with Batiste. Clean Freak does control the oil that can build up without stripping my scalp, and it brushes out so that it is invisible. I like this one with the vanilla cookie scent, but I have come to prefer the original fresh scent in the other Clean Freak shampoo. This is a solid product that does what it says, though I think if you have a very oily scalp you might want to look into something else.

It broke out my skin.
Texture is very nice and thick
But oily skin or sensitive skin... maybe not a good idea.

Sunscreen -Paula's Choice -Clear Ultra-Light Daily Mattifying Fluid SPF 30+

Very light, non-greasy sunscreen that soaks into the skin without any whiteness or tackiness. Excellent for combo or oily skin. No scent other than the faint typical sunscreen scent. I had a 15ml mini size of this and plan to buy the full size when it's on sale.

Lip Treatments -LUSH -Bubblegum Lip Scrub

This lip scrub is so good. It smells so nice, tastes good and does a good job at scrubbing the dead skin from your lips. I love using it before applying lip balm to really give my lips a good treat and I also like to use it before and after using liquid lipsticks too to help with application and to help them feel a little nicer after use too. It's a really good price an they last a long time too. Only annoying thing is they're a little messy but that can't be helped with a lip scrub!

Primer/ Corrector -NYX Professional Makeup -Pore Filler

This was a very disappointing purchase. The product didn't do anything for my large pores. I hated the 'silicony' feel of it on my face. It also seemed as if my foundation was sliding all over and giving way less coverage. My skin didn't look even. I couldn't wait to wash my face. Tried it few times but I just shouldn't have to work so hard to make a product work. The price was also outrageous for a drug store product ($20CAD). Going straight in the garbage.

Fragrances -Chloe -Roses de Chloe

I need some help with my Chloe experience being kind of minimal . I have to purchase all my fragrances blindly because of where I live. I live in a valley of a mountain in the middle of West Virginia with no reasonable shopping. My signature scent is Chloe by Chloe. I think it's the original but it's not the one in the circle bottle. It's the newer version. I love it so very much that I'm trying to find another Chloe that is as beautiful as Chloe by Chloe. After several days of massive research and reading reviews it's boiled down to I'm going to buy this one or one that's called Chloe new. That one is sold at fragrancenet.com and is all over the internet but not offered at Sephora or any of the major retailers. It's actually called Chloe new but if it's supposed to be the new version of Chloe why is it not available as widely? That makes me concerned that it was released and not accepted and is already discontinued. Nevertheless it's there and I'm having a really hard time deciding between it the Chloe new and the Chloe de roses.

The only thing that's really holding me back from this one are the many many review saying it doesn't last on the skin. I just cannot find any information or much of it about Chloe new. This is my last resort and if you guys don't know about Chloe new and if it's worth buying why it's not available mainstream anymore then I guess this is the one I'm going to buy. It's going to be one or the other.

Anything you guys might know about Khloe new and where it has gone LOL would be most helpful. I know this one is beautiful but if Chloe new is beautiful also and last longer I want to go with that.

Liquid -Urban Decay -All Nighter Foundation

Just bought this yesterday. I’ve used it twice so far and it’s going back Today. I was going to try it again with a better shade match because I got 5.0 which is way too yellow but after looking in the mirror today I don’t want to try anymore. I’m neutral cool but feel like more yellow foundations work because sometimes they conteract any redness but this was very yellow. Not hating on that though because it could work very well on someone with yellow undertones. I should have gotten 4.5 instead. I used this with a dense brush. I’ve been into brushes lately and feel like sponges sheet out a lot of coverage. Immediately when I put it on yesterday I was like wow this is very yellow but coverage was pretty good. It toned down some once I had powder and everything else on but it made me self conscious. It’s deifntely not an all nighter. I slept in my makeup last night and it looked like crap this morning. It also made me breakout. Yeah, you’re not supposed to wear makeup to bed but I did the night before as well and nothing happened. I have it on again today and somehow it looks Cakey yet it’s extremely patchy in some areas/isn’t covering stuff and I even pumped out more than I did yesterday. This is probably really good for really oily people, it’s very matte. I’m more normal to dry. Idk if the coverage is lacking today because my skin doesn’t work well
With the formula or what but I’m not a fan of this. Wish it was hella full coverage and made me look airbrushed like other people have said but I really don’t like this at all. Glad I tried it though.
