I have been using this product for 2 months now and overtime it has kicked my acnes butt. I have had acne for years and some cystic acne as well. I am happy to have found such a great product. Side note I make sure to exfoliate everyday using a clarisonic and a mild cleanser that I'm conjunction with this product has really cleared me up.

Lip Treatments -Laneige - Lip Sleeping Mask

on 1/19/2017 2:02:00 AM

This work wonderfully for me, when my lips are extremely dry, applying this mask for a few day will help a lot
but I don't know if it's Laneige thing or it's just me. I can't use it too often because it wouldn't work.
I used to apply it every night before I go to bed the first week's results were awesome but after than
the effect just stop there and my lips were dry again. I can use it like 2-3 times a week and then stop using it
for a while before going back to it. But the result was amazing enough for me to repurchase it though.

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Mask

I've tried this for a month and it did work wonderfully but after the first few months, it just stopped working
like my skin getting drier and only look somewhat hydrated only when apply the sleeping mask on.
After wash it off in the morning, my skin will be dry and dry patches were, I think it's good
for short-term usage, like a few weeks, and then you need to stop because it might stop working on you too.
I could only use it like 2-3 times a week, not more than two months consecutively then stop for couple of month
before using it again, which is really first jar last for over a year and I think
I might need to look for something else instead.

Lip Treatments -E.L.F. - Lip Kiss Balm

on 1/19/2017 1:36:00 AM

This is my ideal lip balm - long-lasting, slightly pigmented and minty. Reading some of the other reviews, I wonder if it's just one of those products that isn't suitable for everyone (i.e. body chemistry, skin tone, etc)
I bought the one in Spice and it's a wonderful MLBB on my Latina-like complexion (I'm Indian, but constantly get mistaken for Latin American). I'm definitely gonna stalk up on these, because they're great and also affordable enough to keep one in every purse!

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - youth to the people cream

on 1/19/2017 1:33:00 AM

Youth to the People Age Prevention Moisturizer Cream - featuring kale, spinach, and green tea. It's like a health nut's favorite green smoothie whipped into a moisturizer. Oh, and there's also hyaluronic acid, but I'm sure nobody's going to be sipping on that ingredient. While this product sounds promising with its grandiose claims, I found it to be rather subpar.

First of all, regarding its core function as a moisturizer, it failed to accomplish that. It's actually really weird: as you spread it across your face, it doesn't feel hydrating, but almost as if it's sapping the moisture out of your face, leaving you worse than before. Now this might be due to the hyaluronic acid, which can undesirably pull water from the skin instead of from the air if there isn't enough atmospheric vapor around (i.e., in low humidity areas). So I can't really fault the product for this issue. Fine, whatever. I still think a moisturizer should still be able to quench your skin, no matter the climate. Day or night, with this cream, I always had to follow up with a richer moisturizer.

Secondly, this product didn't improve my skin's condition whatsoever. Redness, fine lines, elasticity - zip, zilch. Even from reading the product description on Sephora's website, their claims regarding the benefits of each ingredient sound like hogwash.

Thirdly - the price. $48 for 2 oz. of cream. Certainly not the most ludicrous, but still. Not to mention, this stuff has a distinctly whipped texture, which means it's full of air, so even though it may appear copious in the jar, it really isn't since it flattens out once you apply it.

And lastly, I have to mention the container. They decided to use a glass jar, where the sun will penetrate and destroy the active ingredients slowly over time, while it's simultaneously being subject to the open air also degrading it every time it's opened? Baffling decision.

Sephora, thank you for sending samples of this product out in this month's Play Box to let consumers know not to purchase this. Muahaha.

Treatments (Face) -Mandom - Barrier Repair Repair Concentrate Serum

This stuff is pure gold for dry skin in the winter -- I wear this after my toner, and before my moisturizer, and it definitely makes myb moisturizer work twice as hard at moisturizing my skin. For some reason, I bought this a few years ago and never used it until now, but I'm glad I did before I tossed it. It's seriously an HG winter serum:)

Primer/ Corrector -Etude House - Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base

This review is for the mint one. It was good at colour correcting my acne scarring. It added slightly more wear time to my foundation but at the end of a work day my oily skin would have removed most of the makeup. It does work great for the price.

Skincare - Face -Fresh - Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Mask

on 1/19/2017 12:49:00 AM

This mask is amazing. First of all, it looks and smells just like marmalade and is such a treat to use! It moisturizes, brightens, and also helps tighten my pores. I got a small (prepared in store) sample from Sephora and got about 4 uses out of that tiny amount, so it's pretty good value considering a big pot will last at least 6 months. This mask is very gentle and I think you could use it every day if you wanted.

Treatments (Eye) -Dr. Denese - Hydroshield Eye Fix Upper Eyelid Care

on 1/19/2017 12:49:00 AM

This is a unique eye cream. When I originally started using Dr Denese Hydroshield Upper Lid Care years ago, I was looking for something that would help tighten up my hooded upper eyelid. This cream DOES tighten the upper eyelid and helps lessen the hooding, both temporarily and permanently if used over time. The temporary effect of the eyelid tightening occurs within minutes after applying, and lasts for a few hours. But I have noticed that with daily use over time, my hooding is definitely less, plus it helps with eyelid wrinkles and signs of aging as well. This cream runs about $30 for .5 oz, and can be found cheaper on ebay. I stopped using this cream for about a year, thinking it did not help that much. Then I saw it on sale on Ebay and bought some again, and use it every morning under my eye makeup and at night, because it really makes a difference. I love this cream, it is HG status for me, and I hope that Dr Denese never stops making this cream.
