This is the worst skincare ever!!! I bought it because of promising reviews I've read online. It's supposed to heal and moisturize the skin but it did the exact opposite! My skin was pretty clear before I tried this. The first time I tried it, it felt like it was just sitting on top of my skin but I just let it be. The second time I used this, I woke up to multiple swollen bumps all over my face :(( madr my skin pretty dry too like as if it had been stripped off moisture (i have combination skin btw). I'm going back to my old skincare and I hope my skin clears up

Hair Treatments -Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk Original Leave-in Moisturizer

i was really surprised to see the bad reviews for this. i was on the hunt for a leave-in conditioner that has NO protein, which is very hard to find. my hair is dry, wavy, thick, and very coarse. every leave-in I've tried has made my hair more dry and crunchy and the common thread seemed to be protein in the ingredients list.
this one makes my hair super soft. the scent is kind of oat-y or wheat-y but it is a non-factor for me, inoffensive.
as for price, it's a little spendy for the drugstore but i think it's worth it. i bought the travel size for under $4 just to try it. with as little as i use, it will last forever. i think the full size is $13 or $14 at cvs.
my one word of caution is to only use a tiny bit. for my mid length lions mane i use a dime sized amount - any more than that makes my hair flat. it would probably be too much for those with fine hair, but if you have hair like mine it's definitely a game changer.

NOTE: I originally left this review for the almond leave-in, oops. It's this one - the original formula.

My favourite bronzer. Quite pricey.

Eyeliner -Stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

I like this because it's the least bad eyeliner I've tried. I've tried them all. This really does stay on and it does not smudge as much. But it's not perfect. It still smudges and leaves me on occasion. I primer and powder and spray and it stays on fairly well. Other high and low end liners are gone and under my eyes even with all the fixings I do much faster. Close seconds are Marc Jacobs, UD 24/7 and revlon colorstay. Take it from me. This is not perfect but dam good. Maybe the best we can hope for.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Sensational Mascara

FINALLY found my Holy Grail mascara!

Long story short, this is utterly terrific! I use the product in conjunction with their primer mascara which is also FABULOUS and 100% surpasses my MAC lash maximiser primer which I had been using previously. The combination of both the Lash Sensational primer and Lash Sensational mascara is undeniably a force to be reckoned with. Makes my lashes longer, fuller, and more volumised. The packaging is cute and the wand is very cleverly designed, catching every single lash. I bought this on a whim and will 100% keep repurchasing. An absolutely sensational product...as the marketing/branding rightly suggests!

Won't bore you with a 'Pro's and Con's' as there are no con's at all! Get it, give it a whirl, especially if you have straight, sparse lashes like I do!

Thank you Maybelline!

I was really looking forward to these lashes. Love the concept. Packaging is luxe but I cannot get them on so they don't look like they are about to fall off! I tried many different ways to put them on, even taking scissors to them. I would recommend you save your money on this. Wait till some company has learned how to make them better.

Primer/ Corrector -GOSH - Prime n Set Primer & Mattifying Setting Powder

*This review is for the banana version as a setting powder, not a primer (Gosh recommend only using this as a primer if you use mineral makeup as a foundation. If you are a liquid foundation, this should be applied as a setting powder*

I have come to realise that, having tried three loose powders, they are not for me. I find them too drying; they accentuate flakes I didn't realise I had and also have a tendency to highlight large pores - particularly on my nose. Unfortunately, as a setting powder, this product made my foundation 'crack' towards the end of the day too - something I have never experienced before. That aside, I love the colour of this and it photographs beautifully. The packaging is very clever incorporating a twist-sifter mechanism so you never 'lose' any loose powder. There is no talc in the formulation and Gosh pride themselves on cruelty, paraben and perfume free makeup which is always a bonus.

Overall, it's not for me but if you like a loose powder and don't find them overly drying, this is a good, reasonably priced option.

PROS
Fabulous colour
Photographs beautifully
Excellent packaging
Cruelty, paraben and perfume free formulation - no talc!

CONS
Drying (all loose powders are on me...time to switch back to pressed, I think!)
Accentuated flakes on my skin I didn't know I had
Made liquid foundation 'crack' as day progressed
Highlighted large pores

Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes

Got this product as a freebie with my Sephora purchase. Tried it and it made my lashes look amazing but after wearing it for a day I developed redness in my eyes and it felt like there was flakes of the mascara under my eyelids and in my eyes. No swelling just crazy, itchy red eyeballs! Went back to my old Maybelline mascara and my eyes cleared up so I thought I'd give Lights another go the following week. Absolute mistake, the redness and itchiness started up again and the FLAKIES! It's a shame about the formula because it really does give you great looking lashes, with no clumps but it's not worth suffering through the itchy, redness at all. Glad I didn't spend $$ on this. I've never had such an awful experience with a makeup product as I had with this. Definitely not for me.

Dry Shampoo -Schwarzkopf - Gliss Dry Shampoo

So I have thin hair but LOTS of it. It goes just past my boob and has never been dyed. The texture is wavy and i usually wash it every two or three days.

I love this dry shampoo now that it is available in Canada. It has a nice light scent and completely revives my hair without making it feel heavy or sticky which the batiste one does. Other girls have been complimenting my hair more than ever and are completely shocked when I say it's third day hair!

Love it.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel

BIG NO!

I gave up using this product after 4 days of applying. I wanted to like it, cause I have been using the gel-cream version of this moisturizer for over a year and everything was fine, so I thought I should have no problem switching to the gel version, despite all the added fragance, color and silicone. However, it gave me red bumps all over my face, just when my skin nearly recovered from the previous breakout. Horrible. I guess it is the dimethicone which clogged up my pores...not sure if any other ingredient can be blamed except for this one.

Anyway, please, always do a patch test before applying anything full-face!
