Love this. It’s very soothing and cooling on my skin & cleans thoroughly. I double cleanse at night and only need a pea size drop each time.

Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent -All Hours Full Coverage Matte Foundation

I have broken capillaries from Lyme disease treatment and can't get IPL until it's gone (pray for me!) and needed something medium/full/fuller coverage that didn't look caked on my combo/oily T zone face.

I am 43 with the red face mentioned above (it almost looks like I just got done skiing and took off my goggles but much less enjoyable) and found this foundation in B20 over my HG Veil Mineral Primer to last a good 6/7 hours without a blot and then if I do blot/repowder I am good for another 4 (I haven't stayed up longer to find out. Lyme sucks.) But at least I look pretty when I want to!!

I would say this isn't for a dry skin. I had a little patch of dryness by my eyebrow and WOW it looked bad. I rubbed it with lotion and started over!
But for combo/oily gals....LOVES!!!

My husband asked the other day why I didn't put any make up on when we left the house? (He knows I am so sensitive about my red face and thinking I had finally solved a problem, he gently asked.)
So I use SkinCeutical Replenishing Cleanser
WitchHazel as a toner
Skin Ceuticals Eye Cream (have been using this for over a decade, it's damn expensive BUT if you DON'T use the pump and just dip an eyelash spoolie end into it, a tiny bit goes a long way and I can make a bottle last a year!)
Veil Mineral Primer
YSL All Hours Foundation
HG Veil Retouching Fluid on some stubborn red spots (if I have any that day)
Touché Eclat #1 for around the eyes
HG Setting Powder (I hope to be just using this someday! No more foundation!)
HG Ambient Lighting Edit #4
Eminence Lip Balm (faithful user of this for 8+ years! Try it!)

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand -Rodin - Olio Lusso

Much better oils at a better price than this product. Price tag and packaging meant to make you believe this is an elixir of youth that has better performance on dry skin/fine lines. Don't be fooled. I've used other, cheaper oils which glide easily across the face and smell much better.

Company is not transparent on their website regarding all ingredients. They only list "key" ingredients. Sent an email with questions and never heard back - not impressed with customer service.

Eye Shadow -NYX Professional Makeup -Nude Matte Eyeshadow - Tryst

on 12/13/2018 5:34:00 PM

Neutral matte eyeshadows may not seem exactly exciting, but they’re precisely what I crave to play up my large green eyes. So I consider Tryst (described by NYX as a “cool brown”) a real find.

Tryst to me is a medium taupe, fairly cool, but with a tendency to “lean” brown. The shadow itself is smooth, well-pigmented, and devoid of that annoying chalkiness lamentably common in matte eyeshadows. The finish is what I’d characterize as “satin” – not shiny, but not flat matte, either. A good primer is necessary under Tryst to ensure that it stays crease-free and color-true for several hours, but for my very oily skin, that’s a given. NYX shadows are < $10 USD each, and can be purchased as either a pan-only refill, or in a simple but serviceable clear-lidded black plastic single compact.

I love to wear Tryst on the lid, with a deeper true taupe like Makeup Geek Faux Fur” in the creases, for an understated neutral design that shifts the focus to my eyes, rather than my makeup.

Tryst, like other NYX products, is cruelty-free and inexpensive, which is more than can be said for many makeup products these days. I’d definitely buy this one again!

Stick -TOM FORD -Traceless Foundation Stick

This is a great foundation if you find your color match.
Initially, I was matched to 2.7 Vellum. It looked really good upon application in a bad store lighting.
I played with it for a couple of days trying to make it work. It didn't. It oxidized and turned dark greyish in a matter of minutes. I went back to Sephora and the artist did a skin color IQ test (they have some little device that they take on skin pictures in the several face areas). The result came as my best match should be shade 7 Tawny, or if I want to go lighter 5.5 Bisque. I had a hard laugh, 2.7 was already way too dark...
So I've tried shades 2.5 Linen, 2 Buff, 1.5 Cream that all oxidized into too dark orange or too dark pink colors in a matter of seconds. While I was blending foundation, the color was changing.
I have a dry skin, so it has nothing to do with oils. The same happened when I try to blend it on my neck or inner arm. So weird! Having light-medium dry skin there is no shade that matches me. They are all too dark! (Haven't seen a point trying 0.5 Porcelain - it's very very pink, I'm MAC NW25 for the reference)
Shades aside I really enjoyed playing with it for a couple of days. It lives up to its name - traceless, it's so easy to blend. It stays put from the morning till night. It looks fantastic on dry skin. When I was washing it off in the evenings my skin underneath was more beautiful each day. No dryness, no rosacea flare-ups, no breakouts, no heavy makeup look.
Too bad there is no way I can use it.

Mascara -benefit Cosmetics -BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara

This looks BEAUTIFUL for about 20 minutes. When it comes to making lousy eyeslashes look great, this is a winner. The problem is, it smudges worse than any mascara I've ever used (and I've used a LOT of mascaras). I will apply this, get dressed, get in the car, look in the rearview mirror, and see black smudges halfway down my cheeks. I've been applying this on my top lashes only, but it still smudges beneath my eyes (How...I don't know). At first I thought the smudge problem was because of foundation or concealer that was too oily, but the smudging happens even when I use mineral powder foundation. I can get the exact same beautiful, smudgy lashes from Great Lash Mascara and save $21.00. This is definitely not worth the cost.

Primer/ Corrector -BECCA -Under Eye Brightening Corrector

on 12/13/2018 3:39:00 PM

Looks nice as I don't have very much darkness to correct, I use this because it gives a nice brightness to the under eye area. has fine sparkles all throughout. If you're outside in sunlight it is VERY visible even when applying concealer & powder on top. Good thing I only had a sample, which by the way has lasted a very, very, very long time.

Mascara -NARS Cosmetics -Climax Mascara

Love the packaging. Hoped it would volumize, as promised, but very little of that happened. Tried it with and without primer. With primer, got very good length. It has a nice feel on lashes and didn't flake, but since what I really want in mascara is dramatic volume (without spider lashes or major clumping), this is going back.
