Lotions/ Creams -Gold Bond -Gold Bond Ultimate Lotion Strength and Resilience

on 6/23/2018 8:28:00 PM

I have super dry skin that has started to get that "crepey" look. Saw an ad on TV for this product and thought I would give it a try. The package says that 80% of women saw visible improvement in skin texture in 5 days. Well, I used it twice a day or more for for over 2 weeks and saw NO change. It absorbs well. Smells fine. I know that everything works differently for everyone-but NO change? Pretty disappointing. I'm not a happy camper.

Tinted Moisturizer -bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

on 6/23/2018 8:26:00 PM

Just bought this product, so far so good. It has a light texture that goes on smoothly with fingers but leaves residue on fingers - easily washed off with some facial wipes. Covers up redness and some slight discolouration well. Doesn't cover up everything - it's not suppose to! Looks very natural which is a big bonus. It looks good after a few hours, makes skin look dewy and glowy. My skin is slightly oily on t-zone and dry on cheeks. I still use my normal moisturiser prior to this. Spf/pa protection is a plus but I'll probably use my normal facial sunscreen in summer or when I'm out and about a lot more.

Lipstick -Maybelline -Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick

the lipcolor lasts forever and “voyager” is an amazing red - i bought 3! it’s impossible to take off and i use clinique “take the day off” or almay makeup wipes. i own 13 colors! comparable to tarte in my opinion. just wish “pioneer” #20 would be more red and less pink.

Lotions/ Creams -Shea Moisture -African Black Soap Body Lotion

on 6/23/2018 8:21:00 PM

I have been using Shea Moisture products for over 6 years. My husband loves the African Black Soap body wash, and it really makes his skin soft. So I thought I would try the lotion. First, it smells exactly like the soap-which is a bit over powering to me. I was disappointed with the results. While it absorbed quickly, it didn't really relieve my extremely dry skin. And another person made a comment about the packaging, and I agree, it is difficult to get the remainder of the product out of the container. I have resorted to cutting the bottle open and using a small spatula to get it all out and put it in another container. Honestly, I like several other of the Shea Moisture products better than this one.

Polishes -China Glaze -Moonlight the Night

on 6/23/2018 8:13:00 PM

LOVE!!! I own a ton of glitter top coats but none that look quite like this one. China Glaze's Moonlight the Night is made up of blue and purple transparent glitters along with coppery iridescent glitters suspended in a clear base. All are small hexes and microglitters. It's a beautiful combo and I'm so glad I bought this one.

It dries down nicely, very flat and smooth. Applies well, no issues with wear, and removal is a snap of you use acetone.

Excellent polish overall! I would definitely buy this one again!! A+

Polishes -Color Club -For You

on 6/23/2018 7:44:00 PM

Eh. This one looked so fun and interesting in the bottle but it was a little bit of a train wreck on my actual nails. Color Club's For You is made up of multicolored hexes and microglitters (red, yellow, teal, & lavender) suspended in a semi-sheer milky white base.

I found it best to layer this over a plain white polish because it doesn't really work by itself. The base is too sheer for one coat, and with two coats the glitter becomes way too dense and messy. But even with one layer on top of a white, I still didn't love the results. The glitters dry down a little bumpy, and the red ones (just the red ones for some reason) kept popping off my nails. And all the brightly colored glitters seemed a bit blurred by the milky white base.

Overall, this is cute. I liked it, but I didn't love it. Wouldn't buy it again.

Polishes -OPI -Happy Anniversary

on 6/23/2018 7:31:00 PM

This is gorgeous and I love it, but know that it's a 99.9% dupe of OPI's Kitty White from the 2016 Hello Kitty Collection. So if you missed out on the Limited Edition shade of Kitty White, the good news is you can get a bottle of Happy Anniversary (which is a core shade) and you will have pretty much the exact same thing.

OPI's Happy Anniversary is a sheer silvery-white microshimmer. I like sheer polishes when they're SUPPOSED to be sheer, if that makes sense. Well this is an excellent one. A must-have OPI in my opinion. Makes for a great layering polish but it also looks beautiful on its own. It is PERFECT after two coats. So pretty and shimmery! It reminds me of a white version of OPI's Princesses Rule (another favorite). I can't recommend this polish enough.

Would absolutely buy this one again. LOVE!!!

Makeup Brushes -MISSHA -Professional Oval Makeup Brush

This brush is amazing! I was debating to try the Artis Eite Brush which was very expensive. I saw this Missha brush and decided to try it since it was only $14.00. I absolutely love it. Not only that it comes with a cover. Most brushes sold in Korea have a cover which I think helps to keep the brushes sanitary:)

Mascara -Essence -Lash Princess False Lash Effect

on 6/23/2018 6:47:00 PM

I. Love. This.

This mascara gets so much hype and rightfully so! From the first use, it volumized my lashes and made them so black! It has definitely one of my top two mascaras (with UD Perversion). It is not dry, but not too wet.

Treatments (Eye) -Eau Thermal Avene -Soothing Eye Contour Cream

on 6/23/2018 6:44:00 PM

This is the only product my sensitive eyelids can tolerate. I use it under the brow, on the upper eyelid near the nose, and of course under the eye. It also works very well in the morning mixed in with my Ellis Faas concealer, no balling or pilling ever, just moisturize and conceal in one easy step. So good when you are in a rush!
I find Avene products almost the only ones that my sensitive, allergic, rosacea-prone can tolerate (see my other Avene reviews if you are interested and have similar skin).

When you get older, you may develop not only dry skin under the eye, but also dry crepey skin on the upper eyelid, which makes it hard to apply eye shadow or concealer (even though you may need concealer more than ever to cover dark areas ABOVE the eye). So Avene is a holy grail for me, I have been using it for several years, it hasn't lost its effectiveness...
