EOTD(s) - five ways to wear Shi strata trio, for EllaDeS and interested parties ++

ella was saying earlier she was struggling to find ways to wear strata, and that she didn't think the colours worked well together. I (politely!) disagree, and here, as promised, as some ideas I came up with.

started with very clean and simple. the lightest shade all over, the caramelly light brown on the crease, and the darkest brown on the outer part of the crease.

then I added some glitter liner (patted over the lid) for a second look that's fun but still reasonably restrained

then I introduced catrice kiwi wonder as a lid colour. I thought the yellowy green would work well with the yellow based browns in strata.

a classic easy smokey, with the darkest shade all over lid and the caramelly colour blended up from the crease. I really think these tones are beautiful together! the lightest shade as highlight, and some black pencil at lashes to add some soft drama.

a bold, wing based look. I added a touch of black around the wing, then blended the darkest brown in the trio and the caramel brown across the lid, to about the half-way point.

I wanted to try to show that a) the strata colours work beautifully together, and also with other colours; b) neutrals don't have to mean boring. also, I think I need to keep this trio. I was having purgey thoughts, but tonights playing has convinced me there's mileage in this one yet.
