Lipstick -wet n wild -Silk Finish Lipstick - Java

on 1/19/2019 7:25:00 PM

My favorite medium browned nude of all time! This color is just gorgeous! Reminiscent of the 90's brown lip trend, but the pearl finish makes it softer and more flattering for daily/casual wear, than the matte reddish browns of that era. Such a flattering shade for my fair, neutral skin (NW15-20), and just perfect for Fall, although I wear it year round. I love the formula of WnW lipsticks, because the color is long-wearing but not drying. I can't believe a good lipstick can cost so little ($0.99)! If this shade were discontinued, I'd probably buy 10 backups!

Eyeliner -wet n wild -MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner Dark Brown

Excellent liquid liner, at a great price ($2.99)! This has been my go to for years, because it's easy to create a thin/clean line, and to create a wing, and does not fade or smudge throughout the day. The applicator is a felt tip, and it's slim enough to be easy to work with. I usually just line really close to my lower lash line, then apply a pencil liner to my waterline, and I don't have to touch up my eyeliner all day. I use "Dark Brown", because it's close to black, without the harshness of a true black. This is also easy to remove at night, unlike their H20 liquid liner. Will repurchase!

Brows -wet n wild -Ultimate Brow Mascara

I purchased this item in the color 'Nothing but brunette'. I have ash medium dark brown hair, very ash, no red. Hard for me to find brow colors that dont have too much red tones. Ive used Essence's 'Make me brow" and loved it, so I was stoked to find this locally on sale. Its not goopy, doesnt have a scent. I normally fill in my brows lightly with a brow wax for more definition, but sometimes my brows play rough and it becomes a back and forth battle to fill them in evenly and look the same! This is where I like to sometimes use brow gels/mascaras. So easy to use! And cheap!

This is identical to most brow gels and with one swipe in the tube, I was able to thicken and darken both my brows. Great color payoff, and not gloopy. The color is a true normal brown; not too red, not too ash. I like it. The only issue is the brush wand is a bit large, so it can get messy when applying. What I tend to do with brow gel mascaras is apply it and my eye products before foundation. This way, I can wipe off excess and touch them up/clean up with a Qtip. No biggie.

This is great if you have a good amount of brow hair, you can literally swipe it on and brows are natural looking and a bit bolder. Perfect for on the go or a more natural polished look. Stays put too. If you have sparse brows that need true definition, you may need to fill in before or after this. I prefer a natural, less defined brow, so this stuff is a breeze! Definitely will repurchase.

Foundations -wet n wild -Photo Focus Foundation

on 1/18/2019 10:13:00 PM

I was skeptical, but this has become one of my favorite foundations. I tend to prefer tinted moisturizers to traditional foundation, but sometimes I want a perfected, airbrushed finish. My holy grail foundation is Guerlain Lingerie de Peau, but Photo Focus is giving it serious competition! I apply with a BeautyBlender and mix in a bit of liquid highlighter if I want more glow, because it's a bit matte. For the price, I'm ecstatic about it.

Foundations -wet n wild -Mega Cushion Foundation SPF15

I adore this foundation and think it’s really under-rated just because it’s Wet-and-Wild. I am 49 with combo, acne prone skin. This foundation is absolutely beautiful! Finding a color match might be hard because there aren’t many colors and looking online for swatches, you won’t find many. I am NC20-25 and Nude Beige is really good for me. I actually use the little sponge it comes with to press/roll it onto my skin and I think the sponge is perfect. The coverage is, to me, a very solid medium coverage. It can be sheered out if you want by using the sponge damp. The finish is slightly dewy but NOT greasy. The thing I like best is that it refreshes really well later in the day; like I can put it on in the morning, then at night I just mist with water (or a setting spray I imagine) and press over it again with the sponge and it is totally freshened up. I do think I go through the compacts pretty quickly, but wait for a sale and you’re fine. I honestly would rate this as the prettiest foundation I’ve used in many years.
