Foundations -wet n wild -Photo Focus Foundation

on 10/21/2018 1:55:00 PM

I am writing this review as I just finished the last drop of my Photo Focus foundation this morning and suddenly realized I cannot not have it! I very rarely ever finish an entire bottle of a liquid foundation, most of them expire and, sadly, have to go... This one was an exception. Definitely repurchasing it tomorrow.

It is a medium coverage foundation, buildable to full, in my opinion. Blends very easily with both a brush and a sponge. It gives me the nicest blurring effect, the skin looks nearly airbrushed after I finish my makeup. It is not dewy, nor very matt, something in the middle, just like I prefer (I have combination skin, normal on good days). Its long lasting power is another huge plus.

It's a really beautiful foundation and I could see it working on different skin types and for people with different makeup preferences. It's definitely worth trying for the price.

Foundations -wet n wild -Coverall Cream Foundation

I really love this foundation, and I'm quite picky about liquid makeup, due to having such combination skin. The newer PhotoFocus foundation is actually quite good too, but I hate the spatula packaging, and much prefer a squeeze tube (even though Coverall's tube is NOT cute!). This is still sold at Five Below and Dollar General stores, and recently at my local DG, they had them discounted to $3.60, so I picked up 2 tubes in Fair/Light, which looks too dark/orange in the tube but goes on lighter and more neutral and ends up a perfect color match for my fair/light, neutral (NC/NW20) skintone. What I love about this, is how incredibly skinlike it looks once applied, and the fact it does not have an overly shiny finish, but is not cakey/dry looking either. I can skip powder if I want to, and this looks just like my natural skin. This holds up well over both my oily and dry areas, and does not break me out.

While I love squeeze tube packaging, the mouth on this is a little too wide, so you have to be careful when squeezing product out, or you will end up with way too much. I wish WnW had simply revamped the tube packaging, rather than phase this out of most stores, in lieu of their PhotoFocus line. I may pick up another couple of backup tubes, at such a low price, it really can't be beat!

Palettes -wet n wild -Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette - Rose in the Air

on 10/20/2018 10:36:00 PM

I loved the colours in this palette but this palette didn't love me! Something in it is making my eyelids unbearably itchy and swollen. I actually didn't realize and assumed it was allergies since I had eczema on my neck caused by that. Disappointed is an understatement!

Mascara -wet n wild -megaslim SKINNY MASCARA

That's a really surpise mascara. Gives a natural but lengthening finish like you are having eyelash extensions but the more natural look. Convenient wand. The only con is that you have to dip and re-dip wand into the tube to catch the pigment, so at last 3 coats are needed. Nevertheless does not clump or flake. I can't understand whether it is supposed to be a dry formula but dropping a couple of eye drops does seem to liquify the formula. It kind reminds of la roche posay discontinued la doux mascara.

Highlighters -wet n wild -MegaGlo Highlighting Stick - Hell-O Darkness

on 10/20/2018 1:33:00 AM

This a super underrated highlighting stick! This is the type of highlighter that's blue iridescent but natural enough to wear daily, in my opinion. It's blue, but doesn't come off as blue. After application it appears nice & bright, a cool-toned very, very pale blue that comes off as bright light! It's also surprisingly easy to blend with fingers & it layers so nicely over foundation. I love it!
