Eye Shadow -wet n wild -Color Icon Eyeshadow Quad - Walking on Eggshells

I'm so conflicted and I feel betrayed- I know that sounds weird lol

I have loved wet n wild for years. Walking on eggshells was my favourite trio. The shadows felt so high end- buttery, creamy, super pigmented and the pink shade was to die for. So flattering.

The quad is a great example of "if it ain't broke, dont fix it". I dont know if I got a bad batch or something... The new formula is very chalky, significantly less pigmented, and just disappointing. The transition shade is beautiful and I like the addition, but the other shades have been kind of ruined. With the trio I loved applying the pink and white shades with my fingers and it was effortless. With the new formula, I felt like I was digging and trying so hard to build up pigment.

The trio was amazing quality, I got tons of compliments on my eyes- a lot of people actually asked if i was using the urban decay naked palette. This new formula is just okay. If you work at it, you can build it up to be similar to the trio but it doesn't have that reflective sheen. Overall it looks less rich and more dull.

Old formula pros:
- buttery, creamy consistency.
- strong colour pay off- very pigmented.
- the pink and white shades had a gorgeous reflective sheen that really made the eyes pop.
-quick, easy application.

New formula pros:
- transition shade is a nice addition
-a little less fall out than the original. Old packaging got a little messy.
- a little easier to blend than the original (but that may be because there is less pigment)

Brows -wet n wild -Ultimate Brow Retractable Brow Pencil

on 9/24/2018 4:37:00 PM

This pencil would have deserved the highest rating had not one of the shades been a complete dud. I have dark blonde/light brown eyebrows, and I purchased both Ash Brown and Taupe. True to its name, Ash Brown is a perfect, cool-toned brown shade with absolutely no red tones. It definitely would work on a variety of people. Taupe however, did not live up its name at all. It showed up on my eyebrows as a very warm-toned, reddish blonde color, which might work for some people, but in that case Wet ‘n’ Wild might want to rethink the shade name. Otherwise, the formulation of this brow pencil is stellar. It’s very easy to apply and strikes the perfect balance between dry and creamy. Once it’s on, it’s on for the entire day, and won’t budge even if some water gets on it. The spoolie it comes with is pretty handy-dandy too.

Brows -wet n wild -Ultimate Brow Kit

I have this in "Ash Brown", and having blonde hair, I only use the lighter shade on my brows. However, the darker shade makes an awesome eyeshadow for a smokey eye look! The powders are very pigmented and apply smoothly, and the included brush actually gets the job done. The tweezers are not the best, but I didn't buy the kit for those anyway. I paid $4.25 for it, so the price is really reasonable. I would repurchase!

Eyeliner -wet n wild -Megalast Retractable Eyeliner

on 9/23/2018 8:45:00 AM

Ok basic liner. Nice thin line but long lasting (megalst) doubt it. I was easily able to smudge it into almost nothing after a 1minute setting time. unfortunately. Not for oily lids or like most of us you use an eye cream at night. Set with powder or try a primer but you will probably be checking your work every few hours. Not sure what what I was expecting for under 3 dollars but needed something cheap for travel/much on the go and I am constantly misplacing m/u items lately.Update got this to last a little over 5.5 hours with eye primer and set with Milani set and prime setting powder.

Eye Primer -wet n wild -PhotoFocus Eyeshadow Primer

I used to use the Wet n Wild Fergie Take on the Day primer. It was too dry and hard to blend. The shadow cakes on it but there were times I applied it right and the shadows last the whole day. I have oily monolids that eyeshadow is impossible to stay on. So I bought this one and I am very satisfied. Dries matte and applying eyeshadows is now an easy task. I’d say I can’t do eye makeup without this. I will try the Milani eye primer soon.
