Too Faced

Too Faced Cosmetics was founded in the US in 1998, by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson. (Blandino had worked at Estee Lauder makeup counters in the mid-90's.)That same year the company created the "world's first glitter eyeshadow." Known for its innovative style and intricately detailed products, the brand grew quickly and was eventually acquired by Estée Lauder in 2016.

Palettes -Too Faced -Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection Palette

on 4/25/2018 6:51:00 AM

The Sweet Peach palette contains 18 powder eyeshadows; White Peach (matte vanilla cream), Luscious (pearl peach champagne), Just Peachy (shimmering peachy pink), Bless Her Heart (golden moss), Tempting (bronzed black), Charmed, I'm Sure (matte medium cool brown), Nectar (pearly peachy cream), Cobbler (peachy pinked bronze), Candied Peach (matte coral with violet shimmer), Bellini (gilded peach), Peach Pit (satin perfect raisin), Delectable (matte smoky amethyst), Peaches 'n Cream (matte milky peach), Georgia (matte peachy pink), Carmelized (dark gilded bronze), Puree (metallic dark bronze), Summer Yum (matte gingerbread), Talk Derby To Me (shimmering black violet) .

This is tricky to review as it's not bad, just something I think is unnecessary. On one hand the shadow quality is excellent on all but one of the shades (Delectable is a bit patchy & needs building up), the shades are very wearable and the packaging is awesome. But on the other hand, there isn't anything here that hasn't been done before many other times, so if you have a few palettes already then you already have very similar shades to what's on offer here. If you are looking for a attractive gift for someone who like more neutral tones then I think that Sweet Peach is worth the splurge as the formula quality is great and the palette itself is cute, but I don't think this is a must-own palette for those of us who already own, ahem, a 'few' eyeshadow palettes, as there is nothing unique on offer.

So yeah; all in all this palette falls onto the ho-hum side for me, especially as the shades look different in real life compared to how they appeared on screen = it turns out that there are only two straight forward peach shades in the peach themed palette, as the pink or cream undertones on the other 'peach' shades dilutes them too much. Like I said above the shades are pretty and the formula quality is great, so I've gone to four lippies as I'll continue to use the palette, as it's easy to apply the shadows and they wear well, but next time I purge my eyeshadow collection this palette will be going as I think that the colour picks are pretty "blah" as they're all overdone - I'd actually even go as far as to recommend the Kylie Cosmetics version of this [Royal Peach], as that has more peach tones and less 'filler' brown and bronze shades. Too Faced's site/sephora peach themed palettes are also awesome.

Lipstick -Too Faced -Peach Kiss Matte Lipstick

This lipstick has renewed my faith in lipstick and also, it has taught me what I exactly like in terms of lip products. It has a beautiful packaging that looks and feels luxurious and fun. The Lipsticks smell like peaches but it goes away and I don't smell it after applied. The collection has a nice variety of color but I honestly wish the would add more because I love the formula, lasting power and look and feel of it. All colors are a variation of a peach which I really like as an idea: from neutral to purple and not just a "peachy" shade. The lipstick acts as a stain and last for at least 6 hrs. On me while eating and/or drinking. I have bought 8 of the 20 colors available and I'm planning on getting back-ups just in case they decide to discontinue them.

Lipstick -Too Faced -La Crème Mystical Effects Lipstick "Unicorn Tears"

on 4/24/2018 12:30:00 AM

Little pricey for what it was.
I love mood lipgloss and lipsticks - I had toofaced's mood lip glosses about 8 or so years ago and they were sticky but fun.
I have Angel Tears and Unicorn Tears lipstick and they both perform the same: blotchy and uneven. Even when I pre-moisturise my lips, it goes on very uneven: heavy blobs of colour then streaks of sheer undercoat.
I was miffed at how much I spent on it to get such a poor performance.
I gave the Unicorn one away, and kept the angel one out of buyer's remorse.
I've seen a lot of reviews where people complain of blotchy coverage, yet others don't seem to have the issue.
Be wary - you won't know which way it falls on you till you wear it.

Blush -Too Faced -Papa Don't Peach

Overall this colour is awesome on my medium yellow skin, but it’s honestly the smell that keeps me coming back to it! It’s deeper than benefit Coralista, and actually shows up on my skin, but gives a similar effect as it when I have paler skin! Love it!

Highlighters -Too Faced -Candlelight Glow duo

Amazing highlighter! It's not glittery or shimmery but somehow is glowy! Perfect for everyday. It's not metallic! It's a pretty white-gold shade on my NC20 skin! It's basically a baked highlighter that looks natural but gives a beautiful glow to the skin! I would highly recommend it!
