Eye Shadow -Too Faced -A Girl's Best Friend - Clover

on 12/14/2018 4:04:00 AM

As cute as this palette was (and I know for a lot of people it was too childish) the shadows were very underwhelming. Packaging aside the pop of colors look cute but for someone like me who isn't good at color combinations I found myself lost with this palette.

Some cons: the green shade was pale and not so eye catching like the pop of blue or the bright purple. Also there was no matte cream shade. The colors Ruh-Roh and #SaveThemAll look so similar that the only difference is one of them is a more reddish brown. The color scheme feels all over the place.

Nonetheless the saving grace of this palette for me were the matte transition shades. Chihuahua, Fur Baby, Paw Print are all colors I love for transition shades. Cuddle buddy was really pretty too for darkening the outer V or for a liner shade. I easily love all the matte colors in this palette no complaints there. Good Boy was a very pretty yellow and its so random in this palette but it actually goes very well with the browns. My favorite shade is Wet Kisses. It's a very pretty penny copper color with a metallic sheen. My 2nd favorite is Best Friends with that duo chrome red & teal eyeshadow that I've loved for years in other products (it was in Wet n' Wilds Comfort Zone palette and MAC's blue brown pigment).

This palette is definitely one of those products that I don't regret buying but I certainly won't buy it again.

Foundations -Too Faced -Born This Way Foundation

Amazing! I get the hype!
First of all I got off of the new shades created by Jackie Aina, which is “Praline”- If this never existed I wouldn’t have had the chance to even try it. It’s a perfect match!

Consistency is thick and creamy, gives immediate coverage with minimal work (with a brush- not a sponge), blurs pores, provides a beautiful natural finish that oily skin definitely works with! I don’t look oily throughout the day. It looks even and I don’t have trouble blending any other liquid products on top. It doesn’t cling to peachfuzz, doesn’t break me out, doesn’t separate on my face and it doesn’t matter what primer I use. It gives a little flashback, nothing crazy but I am a brown girl. The difference in shade is noticeable but it’s workable. It is longwearing, I get no smile lines (but I do use a really good powder on top) and yeah it’s flawless I will definitely buy it again.

Loose Powders -Too Faced -Peach Perfect Loose Setting Powder

on 12/11/2018 11:09:00 AM

I am torn about this product. I love the finish, very matte and long lasting, HOWEVER...
Every time I use this powder, I feel like I'm inhaling pure, powdered saccharine. The sweetness is so overwhelming, I barely ever use it. The strange thing is that I'm not even sensitive to scents or fragrances.

I generally don't like overwhelmingly sweet or overpowering tastes in my cosmetics, though.

The packaging is adorable, and there is a generous amount of product. It's essentially a very translucent setting powder, which helps keep things matte.

If it weren't for that sickeningly sweet taste it leaves in my mouth every single time, I'd probably use it up a lot more quickly than I have.

I'm still on the hunt for a loose setting powder that helps keep me matte throughout the day. I would not buy this product again because of the taste thing.

Lips -Too Faced -Melted Chocolate Liquified Lipstick - Honey

on 12/11/2018 10:12:00 AM

It’s my third tube now. THE COLOUR OF CHOCOLATE HONEY IS GORGEOUS. It’s such a perfect nude with this glossy texture. Once you started applying it looks wonderful.

Though I would say that this thing does not last. It really doesn’t. You have to keep applying very very constantly throughout the day. It just doesn’t stay. I wish they could really improve the formula for this. As well as it gets really gooey during the day and leaves marks on the inside of your lips. It looks gross but this lipstick is like my guily pleasure. I hate it sometimes but I cant live without it.

Palettes -Too Faced -Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette

on 12/11/2018 8:31:00 AM

I bought this palette on impulse as I could not resist the entire packaging and concept of this series! Yes, I’ve been eyeing for close to 8 months before succumbing to purchasing them!

Background info: living in tropical, humid climate. Currently transitioned into a more oily combo, slightly dehydrated, acne prone skin type. Used to be an NC35 & now more of a NC25 as I don’t tan as much!

This is great for the everyday wearable, “natural”, glow from within skin look, without looking too cakey! The peach blush suits perfectly, although at the first sweep to my cheeks, I felt like the colour did not show up as much as I expected it to me.

Pigmentation in general is ok, and very buildable. The bronzer also matched perfectly as well, although I would say its more of an overall bronze. If you’re looking for a more harsh contour, this is not for you.

All the 3 shades have slight shimmer in them, which I believe its supposed to give the illusion of “glow from within” look. What I like most is that the shimmer is not extreme, a slight sheen which reflects beautifully on your skin even with a light wash. Even the highlighter can be used to highlight your brows.

Of course, how can I ever forget the scent! Yes, peach based scent. If you don’t like it, this is no go for you. But I’ve fallen in love with it since and haven’t been able to put down!

- Not colour friendly obviously. I cannot imagine anyone else darker than me ever using this cause I doubt the colours will show up on their skin.

- Price. On a steeper side but again, you’re really paying for the brand, packaging and overall the entire concept.

- Packaging is a bit bulky. Yes, it comes with a mirror! But not travel friendly.

All in all, i think this is the kind of product you’d want to splurge on, not an essential! I’m sure they’re cheaper alternatives out there, no doubt, but even so this has been my go-to palette every single day before going to work cause it has everything that i need in it! I also feel you need to know which brushes work the best for each shade so that the colours will show up nicely on your skin, which was what happened to me by trial and error.

Overall this can be your palette for the everyday look, casual, cute, natural, glow from within - which is the look that I’ve been going for the past few months.

I highly doubt I’d repurchase it, simply because I bought it as a one time splurge on a cute product, but I do think it does its job well, no further complaints with it.

Hopefully this review helps!
