Too Faced

Too Faced Cosmetics was founded in the US in 1998, by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson. (Blandino had worked at Estee Lauder makeup counters in the mid-90's.)That same year the company created the "world's first glitter eyeshadow." Known for its innovative style and intricately detailed products, the brand grew quickly and was eventually acquired by Estée Lauder in 2016.

Eye Primer -Too Faced -Shadow Insurance

I have been using this for a couple of months and I am so in love with it. I used UDPP from the time that it was launched in the hard-sided purple "genie" tube with the doe foot, and I thought it was the gold standard. After a while I tried other, less expensive options that worked about as well as UDPP, so I thought that all eyeshadow primers were about the same. During the recent Sephora VIB sale I decided that I wanted to buy UDPP again to see if the new packaging made any difference, but it turns out that for some reason (probably due to the way air can build up in the tube), Sephora only ships it ground since it is considered hazmat. Not wanting to wait longer for my package, I decided to try TFSI instead. There are a few TF products that I like, but generally their brand doesn't appeal to me very much, which is why I have stayed away from their eyeshadow primer. I am glad that I didn't let my bias sway me from trying this product though, because it is definitely a holy grail now. I have hooded and somewhat deep set eyes, so I definitely need a primer to prevent shadows from creasing. TFSI really does wear like iron, and it gives a little extra oomph to matte shades as well. The packaging is simple and effective, and for the price I definitely think it is worth it. It performs much better than the lower end primers I was using, and it outperforms UDPP for me as well.

Palettes -Too Faced -Boudoir Eyes

It's a lovely palette, I think the name fits it well, It's perfect to create a "sexy", polished look with. The shadows are nice, blendable, not extremely pigmented but pigmented enough (I don't even want crazy pigment), there's no "dud" shadow. I took a star out because it's really expensive for how small it is. But honestly I love it and it's one of my favorite palettes. I attached a picture with my makeup done with this.

Brows -Too Faced -Brow Quickie

This is the only product that I need for my brows and it lasts super long. My brows are already naturally shaped and thick enough so they don't need to be drawn in or defined very much. I like this mascara since it keeps my brows neat and it covers foundation which always goes in my eyebrows. I use very little though and scrape a lot of the product off the wand before using it since my brows look scary if I add more than a little.

Mascara -Too Faced -Better Than Sex Mascara

I loved the travel size of this, it thickened and lengthened my lashes beautifully. However the full size one was the complete opposite, it would clump and barely lengthen my lashes, and no thickening whatsoever. The ends also looked really stubby which gave off that spider lash look, and I would find smudges underneath my eyes.

Bronzers -Too Faced -Sweethearts Bronzer

Bought this on vacation because I wanted something i could use while my skin was tanned, and a bronzer which would recreate the summer holiday-tan. This is perfect. In the summer it is really thin, glowy, melts perfectly into the skin and do not look powdery in the sun. In the winter it is still glowy, but no sparkly glitter. It also layers nicely over a heavier foundation.
