Palettes -Tokidoki -Tokidoki Arte Palette Sandy in the City

foto

Great eyeshadows for a small palette. I bring it with me when I am travelling because it has versatile eyeshadows that transition well from two light shades for day time, and 1 medium and 1 dark shades for night time. For a pallette that only has 4 eyeshadow shades it's pretty great for transition. I especially enjoy using the green shade because I find it goes well with my hazel eyes and it can be used for both day and night looks. The shadows apply well, have little to no fallout, and stay put all day with some primer under of course.

I also love how it convienetly has a blush for when I'm on the go and don't want to bring any extra make up with me. The blush is well pigmented, so only a light touch is needed.

The packaging isn't that great, I would prefer something made of plastic and not cardboard. I'm afraid it will get wet, and ruin the make up. The mirror (although small) is convenient.

Mascara -Tokidoki -Punk Lash Mascara

foto

tokidoki Punk Lash Mascara is my daily one, & I have Cactus Rocker (black). It's nice for everyday use. I wear it alone & actually only need one or two coats to get the look I want, but this doesn't look bad if you do decide to layer it. What I like about this is that it amplifies my natural lashes; it lengthens & separates them while keeping them natural-looking. Basically, this is everyday mascara, not one I'd wear if I were going to a party. The bristles are short & stubby, which I like because I do feel it reaches all my lashes & defines them better than a big brush would. I'm satisfied with one or two coats of Punk Lash. Some have said these are really water-resistant & I think it actually removed easily with makeup removing wipes, or even just water! It cost $18 at Sephora.

Note: Unfortunately, Sephora doesn't carry tokidoki anymore; I would definitely pick up a Baby Rocker (blue) to brighten my brown eyes if I could still find their cosmetics

I bought this at Sephora but I can't seem to find it nowadays. The packaging is really cute and it smells great which is awesome because my main concern with lip glosses is they always seem to smell horrible. Anyways its a pretty nice product. It goes on nice and evenly, isn't too sticky and is reallyyyyyyy shiny. I would buy again if I could find it.

Makeup Brushes -Tokidoki -Kabuki brush

on 9/13/2013 9:31:00 PM

This brush has the softest bristles I've ever experienced! I remember saving up to get myself this at Sephora because it looked so cute and compact; up until I actually bought one for myself I remember walking past the display one every time just so I can feel how soft it is, haha!

I use this brush to apply powdered foundation or translucent (finishing) powder all over my face, and it distributes the product very evenly. I wash it once a week with baby shampoo and it has not shed a single bristle. Because this brush is pretty dense it does take overnight for it to air dry.

The only reason I won't be buying it again is because of the steep price, but if you're willing to splurge like I did, this is definitely worth it.
