My new love! I used a tester of this fragrance in a Sephora store and went back to buy it the next day after I could not stop sniffing my wrist! I bought the rollerball version and it just smells so perfect on me. Staying power is easily 6 hrs. before I would re-apply. I get more of the fresh apple/lily floral notes when I first apply it, then it dries down to the wonderful cedar/sandlewood/musk notes. It doesn't smell sweet at all on me -- which I like. I'm not a fan of cloying sugar vanilla or fruity scents. It's beautifully soft and feminine but also a bit more sophisticated than your typical light floral fragrances. It's sensuous without trying too hard...you have get in close to breathe in the warm, clean scent. Ahhhh...heaven!

This is definitely a softer version of Burberry Brit, without the lime. I would not repurchase as I prefer Burberry, but I am enjoying the sample to use during the day when I don't want a stronger scent.

I cannot tell you how often I've tried to love various Tocca perfumes. I love the bottles, I love the notes that they purport to contain, and I love the branding of this line in general. Inevitably, though, the fragrances themselves have failed to win me over. Florence is so close to a win for me, but it just falls down in execution. The main problem is that it is gardenia-centric. I have never really found a gardenia note in perfume that I like. They always pale in comparison to a real gardenia, coming off as shallow and insipid. This one is no exception. I get a blast of sweet, fake gardenia in the opening that is faintly underlaid with violet. It unfortunately takes on an aquatic tinge shortly into the drydown that makes me sneeze. This effect persists for hours, and it gets sharply, generically floral, as well. I wish the scent were as complex as the description implies. It *should* have a fruity opening, allegedly involving bergamot, pear, apple, and grapefruit leaves. It's also supposed to have iris, "blonde" wood, and musk. I say to all of this: nope.

It is super, super concentrated. It is also one of the few body washes that I've ever tried that has a fragrance that lingers after your shower. This will be a bonus to some people, but to me, it is not good for two reasons: first, I'm still not wild about Florence because the gardenia is overwhelming; second, I suspect the fragrance lingers because the body wash doesn't wash off cleanly. I apply a small amount - a little of this stuff goes a long way - but it takes me forever to feel rinsed and no longer slimy and soapy. I have never had this issue with a body wash or soap before, and it bugs me.

I have the rollerball version of this fragrance and I absolutely adore this scent. It is a very masculine women's scent, which I'm into, but it's definitely not for everyone. I get those beautiful, fresh grapefruit and cucumber scents up top and they smell very sexy and exotic. I really do feel special and yet very confident wearing this scent, especially on warm summer nights. This is a scent for when you want to be sexy and almost intimidating, not the light white floral princess, but the fiery, alluring queen. For me, definitely not an office fragrance, more suited to a date night or evening affair.
