Masks -The Body Shop - Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow mask

on 9/25/2017 3:24:00 PM

I’ve read the amazing reviews from tons of bloggers/beauty gurus that i follow. So when i was done with my face mask i gave this one a try.
Over all i like it, it shrinks the size of my pores and drys up couple of my active break outs. The packaging is nice, it comes with a protective lid so that the mask doesn’t dry out.
However it is a pain to get it off my face. It has these little leaves in it that dry up and just sticks to your face for life. Im not even joking, every time I use this i spend at least 15 minutes washing my face. It just over works my face for no reason.
If you have sensitive skin or any sort of active breakout i do not recomend it to you. It works for oily/ combination skin. (I have combination skin with a little bit of hormonal acne) The mask did even out my skin a bit and if you are on a budget it is the best that I’ve tried in the drugstore range. If you can spare a bit more then i can recommend Origins charcoal mask. It doesn’t dry out the skin and also shrinks the pores👌🏻

Treatments (Eye) -The Body Shop - Body Shop Vitamin C Eye Reviver Duo

on 9/25/2017 10:42:00 AM

I went to the Body Shop to repurchase their Elderflower gel for the under-eyes and I saw this Vitamin C Eye Reviver Duo on sale (10 EUR) and bought it. I only use it in the morning as a very light moisturizer and make-up base. It absorbs very quickly and leaves the skin mildly refreshed. It is not a heavy treatment product, but just a light, easy to use morning gel/serum. I must mention I do feel a very short-lasting and mild stinging sensation right after applying the cream (second step) and it does not bother me, but could be an issue for more sensitive skin.

I do like it enough to finish this product and I would even consider buying it again for a promotion price. Full price (I think 20 EUR) is a bit too much for such a small amount of a product, in my opinion.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I have combination sensitive skin, and use this during the (relativly) cold Norwegian winters. It takes my makeup effectively off, and at the same time provides moisture and makes my skin feel soft and supple. An everyday feeling of luxery!

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop - DROPS OF YOUTH Bouncy Sleeping Mask

on 9/16/2017 6:30:00 PM

So here's the thing, I like my skincare to be fun. I mean, if it just means slathering stuff on my face every night, I'm going to get over it. I must have at least two jars of night creams loitering in my cupboard - bought with the best of intentions and promptly forgotten about after one or two uses. This however is fun! I think there's a bit of a misconception (possibly as a result of intentionally ambiguous marketing) - I don't think this product is claiming to make your SKIN bouncy, rather it itself is bouncy :-) It's almost like a weird non-Newtonian fluid; very fun to poke. As to whether it works or not, I honestly can't say as I've only been using it for a week or so and I can't see any visible difference. That being said, the giant heavy jar (which I love) and the novelty of the texture means I've been using it almost every night. Weirdly, the more I use it the less sticky it feels and the easier it sinks in... maybe an indication that it's doing something? Probably wouldn't buy it again - want to try the Oils of Life one.

Last thing - I really love the smell! To me it's a luxury fresh white floral.

Last last thing - my boyfriend hates it. Refers to it as the "sticky face" for obvious reasons. I think (as explained above) that this is getting better :-)
