Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop - Nutriganics Drops of Youth

on 2/26/2017 7:43:00 AM

I'm using a newer version of this (or so I've been told by the sales person). The new packing is much nicer and more sleek looking. The sole reason I bought it was because it claims to minimize pores, which is my biggest skin concern atm. After using it for a month, I didn't see any noticeable difference in term of pores size but they did look clean. Clean enough for me to be confident going out with a bare face. And I'm happy enough with that. Because I've read somewhere that you can't actually shrink the size of your pores, you can only minimize their appearance. And having clean pores actually helps a lot with that, as compared to clogged pores. People also commented that my skin look clearer and more glowy. That's major yeayy.

Fragrances -The Body Shop - White Musk EDT

on 2/25/2017 9:53:00 AM

1 lippie off coz the sprayer on my 3.4oz bodyspray is real fragile it would never survive in my bag. Also the cap won't stay on my 1 oz EDT. I bought a small 10ml edt for my purse also; 10ml size is convenient & good price point-- pink sugar has 1 out too I did buy both! I love having my HGs in my purse also Charlotte Russe has a permanent "...Refuge" in my purse always (har har har!!). I have the 3.4oz bodyspray & 1oz bottles of EDT. I mistakenly thought in 1 I was getting oil so I need some oil in my life when I get paid next Friday (on a no buy til I get paid. I need to layer this scent obviously the edt is light & airy so layering is a necessity. I want to see if they got it in deodorant but I'm wanting to lemming that oil so bad I hate no buys . B4 I went on no buy I lemming'd a lotion that can fit in my purse, a purse sized knock off oil; the body creme & the body wash.) I love skin musks & white floral musks so as not too floral choking u (fresh white musk in the blue can or most Jovan except the original is HG so is body fantasy & bonne Bell skin musk & my fave musk prob Fresh & Pretty brand.) this smells like how I want my skin to smell right after I towel off after a shower. I wish it had more projection but I am supremely confident that getting some REAL oil all will be right with my world: this smells soooo good how could I have been asleep on this but I can't go to the body shop it overwhelms me to the point I'm on the verge of a panic attack w the sensory image stimulation overload I'm ashamed embarrassed to admit lol it makes me extremely uncomfortable, so I buy on eBay. This is melds w my skin almost too much that it doesn't smell very strong unless you are sitting next to me on an airplane or lean in for a hug. The layering & oil will help. I am a real dolt thinking I was getting real oil. Musks remind me of damp earth and rain, spring time, county fairs, those sizzling nights that end in the relief of releasing heat into a spectacular Lights show t storm. Musk is my go to right now after I take a shower because it's unseasonably warm like spring in February (it was 79 here yesterday I believe we broke an oldddddd record from like 1874!!! I wonder who faithfully took the temp & recorded it carefully for years even today sorry I'm rambling OT). The body shop white musk is HG already if I can't afford to buy the real one I'll get the knock off oil. Those fake oils for $5-$7 are amazing I've got the same flowerbomb dupe oil. I will always rebuy this is the prettiest feminine scent don't think guys would want to wear this even though it's probably purported as unisex. Lovely fragrance I don't find this animalic whatsoever I doubt the body shop would farm civet becoz it's pretty cruel. I cringe when I think of my Chanel perfumes possibly mining civet I won't buy and support any more civet farming.

Okay yada this would make a good first perfume for a young girl. It's timeless thou any female that washes herself can wear this. I hate funk, dislike funk trying to be disguised by perfume even more, here is a PSA classic age old beauty tip: "wash up" coz ain't nobody want to smell funk. With all that Bath&bodyworks and Victoria's Secret there is no excuse; heck go get any individual some suave bodywash or use V05 shampoo as body wash. ~there is no excuse not to take a bath or shower every single day~ I'm sorry but this bugs me funk is a huge public enemy thank god for this perfume it is a divine intervention. Sorry I ranted.
I blind bought this glad I did this makes me happy!! #downtowntriplecrown #winning

Primer/ Corrector -The Body Shop - All-In-One Instablur 5-Action Perfector

on 2/25/2017 7:05:00 AM

This is my all time favorite primer. I have tested many, from the hyped Nivea aftershavebalm to the Smashbox primer, but none came even close to this one! It fills in my pores beautifully and makes my foundation apply smoothly. It lasts all day. It has a weird texture, kinda grainy but I don't mind, as long as it works. I have a combination skin and it works for me, but I can imagine if you have dry skin that it can cling on to the dry patches. Holy grail primer and not even that expensive in comparison to other primers. It is on sale often but I would pay full price for this gem.

Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Moringa Shower Gel

on 2/24/2017 9:25:00 AM

This has a strong floral scent, that to me, is cheap and synthetic. As a body cleanser, this product does not provide as much lather as I like. I prefer Vitabath body washes to this brand.

Masks -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask

I am honestly so done with The body shop's skincare. The body shop markets themselves as a very natural and enviornmentally friendly company. However, their skincare always seems to be mediocre at best. Altough this is just my own personal view.
Lately I have gotten into kbeauty, or "korean beauty" and I nowadays have most of my skincare (besides my beloved clinique, dior etc) shipped all the way from asia to Sweden. Why? Because the western market often is rather expensive and disappointing.
This mask used to be one of my HG items when I first got into skincare and it was one of my earliest moisturizing creams and it is safe to say that I know this cream, I know how it applies, I know what it does for me personally and I am not super impressed. My feelings for this product is rather complicated because out of the entire Vitamin E line (I own the whole line besides the hydrating toner), this is the product I enjoyed the most. The nightcream was terrible with its strong smell, heavy feel and irritation. The "cream" was fine but not worth the money aswell as the facial oil. This mask had however an okey smell and moisturized without breaking me out. It is also possible to layer this mask on drier areas and go thinner of oilier areas. Also, do check out the ingredients list at cosdna:

This is an all over ok mask but I will not repurchase nor recommend this product to who wants a serious bang for their buck. I recommend you to check out for example CosRX, Benton, Innisfree or Missha as they cater to all kinds of skincare needs and I honestly feel like more people should know about them.
