Polishes -Revlon - Dark Pleasures - Talk Dirty

Revlon's Dark Pleasures line dates back to 2006 and it had four different polishes in. I'm reviewing this shade as it is still easy to find it on Amazon in in various eBay stores for very low prices.

Talk Dirty is a deep brown shade, with a pearl finish that gives very subtle flashes of gold in selected lighting. Nowadays this is not a terribly unique shade (OPI has done a couple of brown pearls in holiday collections), but for the price [mine was £2] Talk Dirty is a great buy and is well worth picking up; it is fully opaque and smooth in one coat, it dries quickly, doesn't shrink or stain and it wears well. A great autumn/winter option to wear on it's own, or as a base for a shimmer topper [ILNP The Magician or one of China Glaze's gold shimmers look awesome paired with this].

I am loving this stuff!

Ordered it off Amazon, have no other idea where to buy it.

Really has conditioned my damaged, highlighted hair. I actually spray this lotion weight balm into my hands and rub it into my hair after washing itfor better distribution. Blow out and don't need to flat iron afterwards 'cause my hair is so smooth! Can't beat it for 10 bucks - better than any Kevin Murphy I've paid 35 bucks for!

Lipstick -Revlon - Ultra HD Matte Lip Color

I purchased two of these on sale. First, to be clear, these are not matte. They are satin at best. Second, they do not dry down. They're more akin to how a lip gloss performs, just with a different finish. Third, they look patchy and uneven on their own. I am using them as toppers on lipliner or liquid lipstick to shift the colour or add a metallic sheen to it. Overall, they're ok, but had I known they weren't true matte, I likely wouldn't have bought them.

Liquid -Revlon - Color Stay Liquid Foundation Combination/Oily

I would choose this foundation over my EL Double Wear, YSL All Hours Foundation, Shiseido Syncroskin, MAC Prolongwear etch. I am not sure what kind of sorcery is in this bottle but it just works well with my skin.

Skin Type: I have a combination/oily skin with textural problems i.e. box, pit and rolling scars and somewhat this foundation has managed to make it look so smooth and flawless. I am also on Retin A and Lactic Acid treatments.

Shade: I am between an NC20 - 25 and 180 Sand beige is a perfect match me.

Application: I only apply this foundation with a beauty sponge and it looks perfect.

Primer: I use a combination of the Ordinary High Adherence Primer and L'Oreal Magic Base

Setting Powder: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder

This is an amazing foundation that beats every single high end products I own. If I were you, give it a try and see for yourself.

Highly recommended. My HG foundation!

Concealers -Revlon - Revlon PhotoReady Stick Concealer

Coverage: Average at best. It doesn't really cover acne and red areas as well as I'd like.It covers moderately but not really the high coverage you would expect from a great concealer. You can still see redness peeking out. If you try to keep layering it up, it can get cakey.

Consistency: Kind of on the dry side. It's still very blendable, but not perfectly creamy such as the Nars Creamy concealer (which I've also reviewed). Which is why it can start looking cakey when you layer it too much. I would imagine if used under the eyes, it might settle into lines. This is definitely better used for acne, but even for that, it doesn't do as great of a job.

Packaging is a little unsanitary considering that it comes in stick form. I wipe it off every time I use it, but I still feel hesitant about it.
