Makeup Brushes -Revlon -Blush Brush

Revlon recently updated their brushes. The new version blush brush is AMAZING! Has the look and feel of a high end brush for around $12. The brush head is short and compact but soft so color glides on effortlessly. I highly recommend.

Polishes -Revlon -Nail Enamel

on 3/19/2018 4:07:00 PM

I paint my nails at home. I don't get manicures or pedicures. Natural nails. I've never used gel polish. That said, I have spent a fortune on high end nail polishes; OPI, Deborah Lippmann, Smith & Cult, Chanel and lower end polishes such as; Sally Hansen, Essie, Zoya, Wet and Wild...the list is very long!

I decided yesterday to purchase 4 Revlon polishes. Not gel, just regular polish-the same I used years ago.

By far, this is the most consistent polish, beautiful colors, fun colors, business colors, everyday neutral colors. The brush is thin, the polish is thin. I LOVE this so much more than thick brushes and thick polish. 2 coats-perfect!

Truly, Revlon regular nail polish lasts longer and is easier to put on than ANY other brands I've ever used!

The tip I do have to polish lasting longer is Seche Vite top coat. I paint my nails at night. No "sheet nails" ever!

Tried and true, always! Thank you Revlon!

Eye Shadow -Revlon -ColorStay Creme Eyeshadow

on 3/18/2018 5:39:00 PM

Purchased this in the shade Creme Brulee (705). Really like that this provides buildable coverage. Applying 1 coat gives just a subtle sheen - appropriate even for a daytime look. At 2 coats, the impact is almost like a foiled shadow and the effect is fairly close to what I can get using 1 coat of the much more expensive Stila Shimmer and Glow liquid eyeshadow. I like the Stila, but feel it is too intense to pull off during the daytime, so appreciate that this Revlon has the ability to pull off both day and night looks. I don't have oily lids so I almost never bother to use shadow primer and ColorStay lives up to its name - many mornings I can put this on at 7:00 getting ready for work and will find it still is in place when I take off my makeup before bed.

The packaging is pretty nice for a drugstore - small glass jar and within the lid is a surprisingly usable synthetic shadow brush - great for traveling when you don't want to have to pack a separate shadow brush. I'll absolutely try this out in other shades and I would buy this again.

Foundations -Revlon -Revlon Photo Ready Insta-Filter Foundation

I like the coverage and look of this but hate the applicator. The more you try to blend with the sponge the more it rubs off. I use a brush instead. It’s also very expensive at $18.00 for a drugstore foundation. I’m in the shade 330 natural tan. Im an NW 35.

Hair Styling Tools -Revlon -Revlon pro 1 step hair dryer and volumizer

on 3/18/2018 11:05:00 AM

What is this voodoo magic tool? I’m embarrassed to admit I bought a backup. Yes, a backup. My hair has been in rehab for almost two years. Naturally, it’s hamster brown, wavy/curly and FINE. Add fuzz and poufiness, heavy highlighting, a three year affair with get the idea. I was left with bald patches that tore out the hair underneath fron extensions. I went cold turkey with no hot tools for two years, and switched hairdressers to a person with bialage ability and a gentle approach to blonde. I got jealous of the other reviews of this tool, and bought one on Amazon. (It’s also available in Target.) I had been using a John Freida hot brush to give the front pieces a bit of direction, and was happy with that. Then came this. If I blow my hair out, I usually get dead looking ends-bad straight hair. Not this time. This thing is powerful, with just the right tension. I get straight hair with swoopy body and curled ends. I can also get those spots behind the crown on either side that are impossible to straighten yourself. long does it take? Bear in mind, I have fine hair. Three minutes. Three. Five, if I’m being clumsy. No flat iron afterwards. Just fabulous, 70s bouncy hair. I cannot tell you all how many compliments I’ve gotten. The routine is Garnier olive whole blends s/c, Smooth Criminal leave in spray, biosilk leave in, and the dryer. Maybe some shine spray afterwards. This lasts for two days; I would wager that if your hair is thicker, this blowout will last longer. My hair has been my nemesis for years-now I get compliments. $50-59 bucks. And yes, I actually bought a backup.
