Foundations -Revlon -Youth fx

Bought this on sale in the drugstore for $4.99 was looking for an every day foundation. Didn't realize that its for an older age bracket, it's only ok, I find it cakes a lot and it doesn't apply easily not as lightweight as I was hoping for.
Not too annoyed considering the price I paid for it but will probably end up tossing it as its not the best for me.

Polishes -Revlon -Romantique

on 11/16/2017 9:05:00 PM

I have been a fan of Revlon nail polish for decades. The last one I got, Icy Mauve, was perfect. But this one, Romantique, is thin and streaky like the crummy brands that I stopped buying long ago. What on earth happened in their formula? Also, even if it went on nicely, it's such an invisible colour that it's basically like putting nothing on the nails. It looks lovely in the bottle, but bland on the nails. I doubt I will ever use it again!

Lipstick -Revlon -Ultra HD Matte Lip Color

I wanted to get this product as something fun, since I don't have a lot of fun colors in my makeup collection and the color seemed promising. I got the dark blue.

When I first put it on it was very sheer. It took about three times of putting a layer on, waiting for it to dry, and then putting another layer on to get close to full coverage. It doesn't come out as matte, but instead of more like a gloss. Along with this, the drying time is not optimal, for it takes about 5-8 minutes for it to dry.

On the plus side: Once full coverage is achieved, the product looks very nice, stylish, and more like an upper end product.

I think this product is good to have in your makeup collection as a fun item for a party or hanging out with friends, but I doubt it is usable as a full-day, every-day lipstick.

Concealers -Revlon -Colorstay Concealer

I don't really get the hate about this product. I have it in shade 01 Fair, which is just the perfect shade for my winter skin. I don't use foundation though, so I can only tell how it works on the bare skin (and I don't use it to highlight either so I always try to look for a concelaer that matches my exactly my skin tone). On my combo to oily skin it does not crease at all, even in the under-eye area. I'd say the coverage is not light at all, more like medium, so it covers the blemishes good enough... and definitely does not cause any breakouts. I blend it with just my fingers - and it blends like a dream! I have not expected it to be so good, would even compare it to much more expensive Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer!

Lipstick -Revlon -Super Lustrous in Wine with Everything

I've owned both the pearl and creme version of this color. I like both. I wouldn't call this shade wine however. It's much warmer than a typical wine. So when I want to wear warmer toned blush or eyeshadow or even clothing that is warm toned, this fits the bill. It's not too dark or bright either. I don't have any other lipsticks that are close to this color. I feel very comfortable wearing it. I would also say it's more of a medium shade but its still a bit adventurous for me since I've always been more of a nude lip girl.

I've worn these Super Lustrous lipsticks forever. I love a lot of my more expensive lipsticks but the Super Lustrous formula is a good basic formula. Not too heavy or waxy. No matter what color you are going for you can almost always find a shade close to what you're looking for.

Highly recommend!
