Foundations -Revlon -Colorstay Makeup Normal/Dry Skin SPF 20

I registered JUST to be able to write this review. This reformulation has completely ruined what was an amazing product. It was the only drug store product I liked even better than it's pricier counterparts.

The new formulation dries out, cakes up, settles in lines and causes whiteheads. So incredibly disappointed!

Back on the search for a new foundation. Such a shame!

Lips -Revlon -Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme

Oof. This stuff is really bad. I blindly purchased three shades (Velvet Mink, Peony Buff, and Apricot Silk) after seeing this displayed at Walgreens mainly because the colors are really pretty. You'd think after almost 10 years of writing reviews on MUA I would at least check the rating here before making the purchase, but no one is perfect and we all makes mistakes...and buying three of these was a mistake. Yes, the colors are nice. The formula is not so nice. I found it gloopy, messy, patchy, and hard to work with. That's not even the worst part...I put Velvet Mink on at 9:30am and by 10:30am I had nothing on my lips. NOTHING. All righty then, back to Walgreens you go.

Lipstick -Revlon -Super Lustrous Shine - Lovers Coral

This beautiful lipstick has been sitting untried for a long time now and I decided to pull it out for the spring/summer weather. It is SO gorgeous and very moisturizing! It is sheer so don't be afraid of how it looks in the bullet. I attached a photo so you can see that it's a pretty pinky coral shade. It's affordable, pretty, and moisturizing... What's not to love?

Polishes -Revlon -Matte Suede - Fire Fox

Fire Fox is still easy to find at low prices from eBay and Amazon, so I thought that I'd add my two cents here; it is a pink-tinged poppy red, with a satin [in between matte and creme] finish. A lovely suits-all-skintones, all-ages, all-seasons, all-occasions colour, which has a retro feel to it.

The first coat of the polish applies smoothly and covers the nail completely, but the formula is on the sheer side so it takes three coats to build the opaqueness fully, as it's a curious mix of a satin and a jelly - if you have longer nails, then there will still be a hint of vnl. The formula dries quickly to a smooth finish, I don't mind going to three coats. The shade doesn't stain my nails [I always use a basecoat though], and the polish wears as well as pricier brands like Nails inc, OPI , and Essie, which is a huge plus.

Eyeliner -Revlon -ColorStay Exactify Liquid Liner

I am trying to improve my skills with eye makeup and was excited to try this. I am generally a big fan of Revlon products for their quality and price point. I bought in the mulberry shade, which is a lovely purplish-brown. I thought the little wheel applicator was pretty easy to use. I apply eyeliner directly above my upper lashes and below my lower lashes, not actually on the eyelid rims. This makes a very thin, precise line, which may not be best for me since I am older and a softer look is better. However, I can use a pencil to add some smudginess, so that is doable. When I wore it for a 12 hour shift, however, I noticed that it flaked off a bit in a few spots, which looked weird. I will keep trying this out, but not sure if I would repurchase.
