Moisturizers -Paula's Choice -RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer

I used this on and off for a couple of years. It was an OK light moisturizer that didn't irritate my skin, but it wasn't moisturizing enough for my dry winter skin. I think it's quite overpriced as a moisturizer as it doesn't seem to contain high amounts of active ingredients (retinol). I would use this product up if I received it again as a gift or a sample as it does a decent enough job, but I wouldn't repurchase it.

Treatments (Face) -Paula's Choice -Resist vitamin c spot treatment 25% vitamin c

This cleared up some old, super-persistent red acne scars on my chin after just a couple of weeks. Wow! My poor concealer has since been pretty much neglected.

My facial skin tolerates it very well, no irritation. In fact, I was surprised that I didn't feel any tingle, so just out of curiosity applied it to some eczema on my hand. OUCH, ok ok, yes, there be actives in this product! Won't be doing that again.

Has a nice consistency, a smooth cream with a slight chalkiness. Smells a bit like plastic toys of my youth, but very faint, hardly noticeable. Overall a nice product to use. Great packaging and so much easier to apply than annoying serums with droppers...

One lippie off for the high price. This is available as a deluxe sample though so I'd recommend anyone interested in trying the product to get that. 5 mL still goes a long way as a spot treatment and you can try it out before committing to the bigger (15 mL), pricier tube.

Masks -Paula's Choice -Rehydrating Moisture Mask

I think this works as a nice, unscented night cream. Personally, I don't see the point of rinse-off moisture masks and would simply leave it on overnight. I purchased a sample packet of this and got 3 uses out of it for my face and neck.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice -Perfect Cleansing Oil

on 4/17/2018 5:49:00 AM

The first thing I noticed was the unpleasant smell - to me it smelled slightly rancid or like an industrial machine oil. Application and removal of makeup was fine. However, upon rinsing, I did get slight burning in my eyes. I'm glad I tried a sample of this first because I would not purchase this full-size.

Treatments (Eye) -Paula's Choice -Resist Anti-aging Eye Cream

I tried a sample of this and I loved it so much that I ordered a full size tube after using it for a couple of days. It was very rich and plumped up my under eye area and my concealer went on so smoothly under it. I really thought I'd found a Holy Grail eye cream. But.....and there's always a but, right? After about a week the skin under my eyes was itchy, red and raw. I thought that maybe it was the retinol in this cream that was causing this and I stopped using it for a couple of days. My eye area cleared up. Hoping against hope that my skin's earlier reaction had been due to something else - allergies perhaps - I tried it again. Same result; itchy, red and raw.

I think that this is a great cream for people who aren't adversely affected by retinol on the delicate skin under the eye. It really is an excellent moisturizer.

As for me? My quest for the perfect eye cream continues... (aah, First World problems! Am I right???)
