Cleansers -Origins -Checks and Balances

on 11/17/2017 11:23:00 PM

As someone with normal skin (neither too dry or too oily, or acne-prone), Origins Checks & Balances is one product I treat myself to frequently. I found that all you need is a small dot amount, mixed with water and that is entirely enough gentle frothiness to cleanse your entire face, neck & decollate with - thus, this product lasts me a long time (unless I accidentally squeezed out too much, in which case I will just cover more part - my shoulders, back, etc). I also found this product works best while in the shower, using the warm water and the steam, in which my face seems to glow when I get out of the shower and my pores appear smaller. I absolutely LOVE the smell: a fresh, spearmint scent. I have had absolutely no skin reactions after using this product, as far as using it as the face cleanser. Keep away from the eyes, as most products warn against.

Body Scrubs -Origins -Never A Dull Moment Skin Brightening Facial Polisher

on 11/16/2017 10:05:00 PM

I using scrub. A definite HG. One reviewer described the texture as marmalade-like; I think that's right on. It means it's easy to spread and stays put while the enzymes do their business. Then you can gently massage and the scrubbies go to work. It leaves my face feeling soft and smooth and looking clean and bright. About the packaging: I don't have it in a jar; I have a medium-size tube of it that was probably part of a kit. It's perfect for the shower, but I can understand why the jar would be annoying.

Masks -Origins -Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

on 11/15/2017 9:49:00 AM

I rarely write reviews. But this one - I have to say I'm impressed. I have only used this mask once and am quite surprised by the results, even after one use. Skin felt surprisingly smooth afterwards. To clarify, I have dry skin with decently smooth skin most of the time. But lately I started to have a couple pimples and could feel some acnes on two sides of cheeks (probably due to stress). This mask really helped to smoothen my skin. I dont know if I am hallucinating but it felt like some of the acne on my cheeks disappeared (again I have only used it once. Will come back for another review if my experience changes afterwards).

I like how this mask is a clay mask but did not dry me out like most other masks do (e.g. origins charcoal mask and glamglow white mask). It also gives a gentle exfoliation - I guess that's why my skin felt smoother. I have used a lot of origins products in the past, always wanted to love them but unfortunately few gave me noticeable results. Having bought this as part of a promotion set, this mask surprised me I have to say.

Masks -Origins -Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

on 11/9/2017 7:10:00 PM

This mask is pleasantly okay. It smells divine (and I don't like fragrance in my skin care so I feel like that's saying a lot), but I don't find that it's hydrating enough for my dry skin, even in the summer time the difference in my skin the next morning isn't all that noticeable. The price isn't terrible either but there are so many other overnight masks from K-beauty brands that have so much better ingredients and are a fraction of the cost online. I also would not repurchase because I'm trying to gradually go cruelty free and despite the brand imaging that they have, I was really surprised to find out they are not cruelty free.

All in all, I'm not mad or regret purchasing it in a mini mask set, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get this.

Tinted Moisturizer -Origins -Ginzing Spf 40

This product i will not buy again! At first i liked this because it the color was just right for my skin. The first week i used it with no powder on top of it. Just my usual (7steps skin routine) I liked it but i noticed how oily my face throughout the day, i do not usually put powder on top of my tinted moisturizer. Second week i put a translucent powder on top of it and i had a massive breakout on my forehead! On my entire forehead!
I gave it another chance by only putting this product for 3 days but it gave me an army of small swollen bumbs on my forehead! And some random places on my face!

Because of this product it costed me 5x more than its worth just to buy serums etc for my forehead. 2 weeks and counting but the pimples are still there. Half of it. Waste of money.
