Cleansers -Neutrogena -Naturals - Purifying Facial Cleanser

on 2/21/2018 6:26:00 PM

Had wanted to try this for a long time. Like the pump dispenser, easy to use in the shower. Doesn't have any strong scent as far a I can tell. Price is reasonable. But, won't repurchase because texture is a bit slimy and I feel I have to really rub to feel it's been rinsed off. Certainly does not foam at all for me, but maybe that's all the natural ingredients. No problems with sensitivity or drying, but my skin is combo and not terrible sensitive.

Basically a meh, cheap-ish drug store cleanser. Much better out there for the price.

Cleansers -Neutrogena -Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser

this cleanser destroyed my skin for years. as a teenager i believed that cleanser just had to remove oil/makeup and it couldn't harm your skin unless it left residue. this one DEFINITELY doesn't leave residue, it strips your skin down to the bone basically. it was drying my skin out so bad that it actually caused it to be more oily, like my makeup would only last 5 hours max before melting completely off my face, i was breaking out constantly and pretty much every pore on my face was clogged all the time. throwing out this cleanser for a gentler one caused my skin to clear up by 50% within a week.

Pressed Powders -Neutrogena -Shine Control Pressed Powder

I freaking hate this product. It amplified my pores, gave me a chalky look, and clung to random patches on my face. I hate wasting products, but I didn't even hit pan before I tossed this. Hard pass.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Extra Dry Skin

on 2/19/2018 2:15:00 PM

I tried this moisturizer for a week. What I did was use a small amount and pat it on damp skin then lock everything in with my usual lotion/moisturizer. Result was pretty bad, skin was drier and tighter. Some redness and whiteheads appeared. I then tried using my usual moisturizer without adding the Hydro Boost Gel-Cream underneath for another week and the difference was noticeable. My skin wasn't dry or tight. It felt comfortable like it used to be before adding this product! So I'm now back to my usual routine.

Do take note I'm not using any active and it's the end of winter here but it's not that cold/harsh. Maybe this will work better during very hot/humid summer. But for me that's useless to use it for only one part of a season since I wouldn't be able to finish the whole jar. Honestly, I wouldn't repurchase as I noticed an increase of clogged pores/whiteheads and also the constant redness and skin that felt uncomfortable. This product didn't help with hydration at all. The texture of this moisturizer is the only positive thing as it glides on easily and absorbs well.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser

This is a very good basic moisturizer for oily skin, it sinks into the skin well and leaves a matte finish, it did not break me out at all, the only thing I noticed is that it stings a bit around the eyes, but I stopped using it around the eyes. Wears well under make up. Will buy again
