Cleansers -NYX -Stripped Off Micellar Water

on 2/25/2018 12:47:00 PM

This is my favorite micellar water after trying out a few. I do have to buy it online since it's not as easy to find in stores but the price is lower than most others and it performs better for me. I do cleanse at night before using this and I don't wear waterproof or heavy makeup so this does get everything off for me. I use this alone to cleanse in the morning and it's not stripping at all and doesn't leave any sort of residue. My face feels so nice and more calm, soft and moisturized after using this for several months now. Highly recommend if you're into micellar waters.

Eyeliner -NYX -Slim Eye / Eyebrow Pencil - 901 Black

What good is a black eyeliner that's not opaque, even after multiple passes? It does smudge nicely, but with any deep or dark shade of eyeliner, patchiness is an instant dealbreaker for me. Next!

Mascara -NYX -Professional Makeup Worth the Hype Voluminizing & Lengthening Mascara

on 2/23/2018 12:45:00 PM

I actually really like the lengthening properties of this mascara. it's great with a lot of makeup or no makeup. I originally bought it because Tati on YouTube raved about it and I was unhappy with what I had. definitely a worthy recommendation.

Eyeliner -NYX -Seafoam Green

on 2/22/2018 9:41:00 PM

There are a ton of aqua/turquoise liners out there, but I was on the market for something greener than the usual shades in that color family. Seafoam Green is decidedly more green than blue; I'd categorize it as a lighter version of Crayola's "Jungle Green," with a pearly finish. It's just the *color* I was after, and I'll keep using it. However...it's not very pigmented. Honestly, it's impossible to get a completely opaque line, even after several passes. Seafoam Green gives a subtle "mermaid" look, if that's what you're after; it'd be really cute on a little girl, and absolutely ideal for an almost-no-makeup look that still has that aquatic edge. I like it best with an exaggerated "cat eye" flip, so that it's more noticeable under my mascara. I'll keep looking for the right aqua green liner, although I'd repurchase Seafoam Green if I ran out before finding something more to my taste. It does go on very smoothly, with no tugging or dragging, so I'm definitely up for trying more shades from this line.
