Lip Gloss -NARS Cosmetics -Priscilla

Pros: Beautiful color.

Cons: The color is bright and may not be for everyone

Overall: 4.5* - it’s a good gloss if you like the color. Nothing stands out about the formula of the gloss, but I have no complaints either

Lipstick -NARS Cosmetics -Powermatte Lip Pigment

The BEST liquid lipsticks on the market (I said what I said!).

Sephora describes the product as an "innovative, weightless, matte liquid lip pigment with ultra-flexible, lasting wear." It's interesting that they don't call it a "liquid lipstick" and instead a "liquid lip pigment." This description is heightened by its super watery texture; the directions even state that you should shake the product before applying it. The applicator is thin, stiff and does not bend, and it deposits the perfect amount of product in one go; the pointed tip is really useful when applying the product to the corners of your mouth and your cupids bow. The consistency will be very wet for a few minutes, and then dry down and also lighten a bit to a perfect matte finish. Once applied, the product lasts forever, leaving behind an even stain. Because it is such a watery, thin texture, reapplication is also really easy, as you don't have to worry about the product cracking or crumbling.

My sister bought me Slow Ride, which is described as a "soft pink brown" and I got Rock With You, which is described as a "deep mulberry," with a gift card (these are $26, so not the cheapest!). On my more pigmented lips, Slow Ride is a neutral peachy-brown and Rock with you is a blackened plum. Did I get Rock With you for the color, or for the shoutout to one of the best songs of all time? You decide.

The best. Always looks natural. First one lasted years and years, and after spending quite some time looking - as in years...I am returning to this.

Palettes -NARS Cosmetics -Orgasm Infatuation Palette LE

This palette is absolutely gorgeous. They hit the packaging out of the park. Athough, the 3 shades inside are classics that a LOT of makeup lovers will already have. The quality is there. Included are: Orgasm blush, Laguna Bronzer and Orgasm Highlighting Blush Powder. All three powders are super smooth and blend nicely. LE holiday palettes can have inconsistent quality but I was surprised how much I enjoyed these!

Not sure if NARS reformulated along with changing up their packaging recently but, this Orgasm blush pan seems to "pick up" with my brush easier than the mini freebie I had before. Orgasm Highlight was the only new shade to me. It buffed in nicely and didn't exaggerate my pores. I would assume by the name this could also be used as a blush topper too. The shade reminds me of a long d/c MAC MSF in Porcelain Pink.

I believe the palette is $42... which is pretty reasonable for NARS. (Even more reasonable during a sale.) I wish they would either make this permanent or release this annually because I love having these 3 shades together vs a million little compacts. I would absolutely repurchase this if they release it again.

Foundations -NARS Cosmetics -Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

The effect:
- This foundation is definitely a staple item for me! It has a very light liquid formula that enables a smooth application to the skin.
- It doesn't oxidize and appears neither flaky nor powdery. It's definitely a must-have for the drier/dry-patchy (combination) skin types!
- The coverage is medium and buildable. I can fluctuate between 1 to 3 drops depending on factors like the condition of my skin or whether I'm doing a day/night look.
- I think I get what they mean by the 'luminosity' factor because I do see an added glow to my skin (although this could very well be helped by my skin routine!)

Application:
- I've tested finger and beauty-blender techniques with this foundation, and found that both work equally well!
- I recommend that you disperse it first with your fingers and then even out + build-up with the sponge. That's what works best for me!

Skin-tone and type (personally):
- I can actually pull off both Gobi and Deauville shades, as my skin is fair to light with undertones that are neutral slighting towards yellow (Usually opt for Deauville in the summer and Gobi in the winter).
- Best for dry/dry-patchy combination skin.
- Might be more suited to younger skin types because I've found that without a good primer it can sometimes settle into lines that I never knew I had!
