Humid and dense gardenia & cream to my nose, with something that is almost but not quite overripe banana. Very tropical and buttery. My husband says it smells of vanilla and flowers. I find the packaging adorable, it is a small bottle with a tiny little rollerball. This is pure perfume oil inside, so a little goes a long way. I love to take a little bit of Monyette and apply it to the ends of my ponytail, so the scent provides a nice little waft when I move. The formula provides me with just the right amount of floaty sillage--never overpowering to others, but giving them just a tease on the air every so often. I'm crazy about this scent as the weather is warming up, and love it right out of a bath (I apply virgin coconut oil for a moisturizer first--a perfect pairing with this perfume) and even before bed, because even though it has quite a lot of body, it is a gentle fragrance. As always, because everyone has different tastes, give it a try before you buy.

Whew, glad I only ordered a sample of this (edp). I thought it would be heaven in a bottle, based on the reviews. Nope. I tried some on; at first all I could smell was lily of the valley. Then the scent got a little plasticky on me but that sometimes happens with certain florals so I thought I'd let it keep going. It seemed to almost disappear with a faint blah, generic floral scent lingering. I thought, where is the tropical delicious gardenia/vanilla awesomeness? Maybe I need to put some more on. Well now I can smell it more but it is still plasticky floral on me plus another note that I can't identify (maybe the incense?) that just bugs me. So I guess I saved myself $70+. I was totally thinking I'd love it. Can't say I even like it. Bummer

I recieved this among others as a tester from Abigail at Posh Peasant when ordering Monyette Paris, and I was surprised that I actually liked it. It's not as beautiful and original as it's sister at all, but fresh and fruity that works well in summer. I guess Monyette Paris is suitable for those who's into flowery notes (as myself) and Coquette Tropique for the fruit-lovers.

Monyette Paris perfume is my signature scent, so I assumed the lotion would be lovely as well, hmm I must say for some reason, this smells garlicy on me as the day progresses. Not sure why, but I suppose maybe the hand washings and the scented soaps might interfere with the scent of the lotion as you go about your day? Perhaps the formula of the lotion is different? I have no idea why it does not work on my skin. Back to the lotion, it is a lighter version of the scent and the lotion is a wonderful moisturizer. I do recommend it for Monyette fans.
