It's very clumpy, it flakes off and when you apply it and it seems to not get attached to the eyelashes at all. very disappointed :/

Eye Primer -Milani -Eyeshadow Primer

on 3/20/2018 4:29:00 PM

Price is about $6.00

I've gone through several tubes of this because I always go back to it. I think it's better or just as good as UD Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Benefit Don't Stray, Smashbox Photo Finish, MAC Paint Pots( horrible on me used as primer). Every other drugstore brand has been a disappointment but I do also like Ulta's Matte Eye Primer. It's around $10.00 but I catch it on sale when ULTA has a sale but Milani is my first choice.

I don't have oily lids, they are on the dry side. This applies easily and never irritates or dries my lids out. I always apply a light dusting of translucent powder or a white or very light shadow over it before applying my shadows. I use primer every day and a tube lasts me about 4 months. It doesn't crease and my shadows last all day and well into the night. It won't hide veins or darkness if you have those on your lids, but most others don't either and ones that do dry my lids out and crease or cause my shadow to look crepey.

Here is the con... as SOME, NOT ALL, tubes gets about 75% empty it can separate. Not usually, but some tubes do. So when you squeeze it oil will come out then the product. Once it begins to get low, if I squeeze the tube it mixes it back together but I do find this an annoying problem but it doesn't happen with every tube. If you shake the tube well once in a while it does help also alternating by storing it upside down then right side up. I don't find this a reason to stop buying it because it's cheap and it works really well for my lids.

Palettes -Milani -Everyday Eyes - All

I've always had lousy luck with drugstore eyeshadow in the past, but have been on the lookout for dupes for some of the higher end shadows. This one seemed to have good reviews and when I saw it it on sale at CVS, I figured it would be worth trying out. Absolutely floored! This stuff is not chalky and has good pigment. I purchased the Basic Mattes (#07) and this is just a great kit to travel with if you need to do both day and night looks. Really liking that they give you a bit more of the transition shade. As for the dark brown and black shadows in this kit, I haven't tried them yet as cake eyeliner, but will be doing so at some point with a little bit of Inglot Duraline and a brush - if it proves to have good staying power as liner, then this is going to be coming with me on a lot more trips. Although this kit has mostly mattes, I feel like one shade has a very slight pearl sheen to it, but that's fine by me. Looking at some of these shades as well as a few others in different Milani Everyday Eyes kits, I see a lot of shades that are close dupes to more expensive counterparts like Urban Decay and Tarte palettes.

I'd definitely consider trying other palettes with different colors in the future. This was also my first experience buying something from Milani even though they have been around for a long time. Definitely interested to try some of their other products now.

Liquid -Milani -Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer

Only drugstore foundation that I really like on its own and mixed with others. Coverage is fantastic. It’s also doesn’t cake or break up on my dry skin. My favorite thing about it is the finish - not too dewy where it doesn’t provide coverage and not too matte where I look like a cake. It lasts me about 10 hours before it begins not to look as flawless. The only sketchy thing is the shade selection. I’m usually light-medium neutral skin and I had to choose the first lightest shade in ivory (wtf???). I think Milani may have more shades since I’ve purchased this. Honestly, I didn’t think anything can top L’oreal Foundations at the drugstore but ever since going cruelty free, this has been the closest. I will continue to repurchase!
